Harry Potter Advent Calendar - Day 11

Posted by ,

Based on the pattern identified a couple of days ago, I would expect to find a brick-built creature behind door number eleven.

Assuming this pattern continues, let's see which magical creature emerges today...

This little Chocolate Frog matches the style of other models in the Advent Calendar, featuring the same decorated eyes and blocky style. The square head seems awkward here, but I like how the legs and feet are assembled, recreating a frog's stance quite well. Additionally, purple was a good colour choice for the base, chosen in reference to the colour of Chocolate Frog Cards.

Overall - While not perfect, this Chocolate Frog has a certain charm and is probably my favourite creature model yet.

These little creature builds got better and better; I wasn’t particularly sold on Hedwig or the hat but Buckbeak and this frog have been adorable

This is a good little frog, but it reminds me of how weird and offputting Chocolate Frogs are as a concept.

There are worse things than sushi. There’s a place in SE Asia where they eat eggs that were almost ready to hatch. And somewhere else they turn live octopus inside-out and swallow them whole (the octopods aren’t particularly enamored of this process).

I am glad to see everyone agrees this is the best critter to date! I am aligned that it is my favorite one so far. The eyes here match a frogs better than any of the other critters.

Hey, I'd rather have a Chocolate Frog than gagh, and I say this as someone who was always more into Star Trek than Harry Potter, even before he found out that J.K. Rowling was a transphobe.

Nice build. But, I prefer the HPACs to have items I can populate my minifig Wizard World.

This is a LOT of chocolate for a minifig.
