Star Wars Advent Calendar - Day 20
Posted by CapnRex101,Even though Mouse Droids are quite common in LEGO Star Wars, yesterday's seasonal model was an appealing and appropriate spin on the normal designs.
I would be pleased to see more like it...
I think a Super Battle Droid is about as far from a Christmas connection as it is possible to be! However, this version of the droid has only appeared four times and having another is certainly no bad thing. The moulded details are fairly simple, but I like the indentation on the body, which represents the chest-mounted sensor. The wrist-mounted blasters look superb as well.
Overall - There is no harm in adding another Super Battle Droid to your droid army, even if this is not the most exciting possible figure.

Always great to get more of these guys.
Disney: 5/5p
Friends: 4/5p
Minecraft: I like the diamond ore block better than the zombie. 4/5p
Harry Potter: Another six-legged spider. 4/5p
Star Wars: I fell asleep as soon as I looked at it. 2/5p
Day 20 (not easy, actually like all of them):
0 points (+ 26 from yesterday = 26: Dy - Almost feel bad about giving the 0. There are some interesting pieces.
1 (+47 = 48): Fr - don't be sad pickles, next time the competition won't be so hard!
2 (+56 = 58): Ct - Substantial and festive.
3 (+60 = 63): SW - Always liked the B2. However, other ACs put more effort into day 20.
4 (+37 = 41): MC - Though I'm not a fan of the MC style, I have to aknowledge the total value.
5 (+59 = 64): HP - Yes, a build that beats out minifigs! And it looks so happy about it!
So if this version didn’t appear until last year, does that mean it’s all new molds? And does that mean they’re not going to break as easily as I’ve heard? I don’t actually play with mine, so I don’t really know if any of them have broken.
A B-1 in a calendar is like getting socks on Christmas. They're functional and you know they're coming, but they're *socks.*
A B-2 is like getting a whole pair of expensive and awesome shoes.

Best comment I've seen all month for these AC countdowns.
Could have at least given it a candy cane or something
Man, Ultron's looked worse.
having the same minifig/build twice in a row is a big shame. They shouldve put a commando droid in this years given we had a super battle droid last year

To be fair, I've bought every Star Wars calendar since 2011 and I appreciate that I now have a small army of B-1s. But man, any year with a B-2 is *sweet.*

The Commando Droid would not have been finalised for this set, sadly. Advent Calendars are finished a particularly long way in advance, with the range for the first half of a given year.

Yeah in this case true I suppose. Two B2s in a row is still lame though. We'll see next years advent only a couple months into next year, hopefully more inspired with the minifigs than this years
