So uh... Yeah. This figure exists.
Ha ha, classic boy

Yeah. Look at him. He's clearly up to no good.
The love child of vintage LEGO and Fisher-Price figures :~P
Well, it certainly looks like a bath toy.
From the very first RMotD article:"Minifigs will be chosen at random from the 10,000 released since 2010 and certain categories will be excluded, such as Duplo."
Forget something @Huw?

Your objection is moot. It's not Duplo!
I am quite happy to see it, because it reminds me that I need to collect one of these. My Primo haul had no figures with it.
I am... disturbed.

You're right Duplo is compatible with Lego. Quatro is compatible with Duplo, and thus compatible with Lego, albeit at a remove. Primo, however, stands completely alone.
Look at my round son.
It’s from 1997, so it *should* be excluded.

I stand corrected, but I have my doubts as to whether that would stay together were it to be picked up.
Kinda' looks like Lego tried to make a 'Weeble'...except this does nothing BUT 'fall down'...:)
He’s a hefty lad
Like a rubber duck wearing a horrifying false human head
Put this guy next to a regular minifigure and tell me it's the same...
No basketball game with this boy

@Huwbot worked correctly this time, but I will stop him from picking Primo again.

How dare you - you cannot stop the Hewbot!! He's surely running out of clickets sets and has potentially found his new obscure obsession!! XD
Something I never thought I would see on RMOTD.

I find that one a little more terrifying. Not a whole lot to say, although he doesn’t have arms just like his ancient ancestors. I’m not really sure what that blue peg is after…

Honestly, you don't deserve that. But sometimes, kindness means giving people what they don't quite deserve.

I don't know, you might be able to use him as the ball.
My delight at this beautiful round boy as today's RMOTD is evidence that I would rather DUPLO figs were included than excluded. If we're going to have brick-built "figs" and mini-dolls and whatnot, let's just have moments of true wonder too!

Primo-to-Primo has effectively no clutch, so any pure Primo build has to be supported from beneath when lifted or disaster ensues. This is a "feature" of the building system for toddlers.*
Primo antistuds over Duplo studs have fantastic clutch, better than Duplo-Duplo.
Soft Brick antistuds over Primo studs clutch well enough to pick up. There's a very low weight limit, but that only matters if you've built the Primo on Duplo. Otherwise, you're just picking up one brick at a time anyway. Soft-Soft connections also clutch, but have a low weight limit too.
Primo antistuds over soft brick studs are very, very clutchy.
Primo antistuds on 6x Gear have no clutch whatsoever, but that's because Gear-Gear has no clutch whatsoever. Gear studs are slightly smaller than they should be, so that Gear can stack trivially but not actually connect.
I don't have any proper examples of Gear antistuds to Primo, because all my Gear antistuds are plate height (minifig display cases), which are too shallow to accommodate Primo studs. (I don’t know offhand if brick-height Gear antistuds exist.) The salt-and-pepper shakers are a special case. They have a rubber stopper which is too shallow to accept Primo studs, but since they're rubber, you can jam one in anyway and the rubber will deform to accept it. It also clutches quite well, again because of the rubber.
—————————
* I say "effectively" because the way real toddlers play with Primo, the clutch is effectively infinite. Primo was actually a really bad baby toy: one of those products that looks great to parents, but is completely uninteresting to its ostensible target audience. I was all excited to get my baby some Primo, only to find that he didn't have the dexterity to put pieces together or take them apart. Babies don't shove pieces straight down or pull them straight up. Instead, they push or pull at a significant angle. Primo won’t connect when pushed at an angle. And when pulled at an angle, it won’t separate. At all. The dome-shaped stud gets wedged in the tube underneath, and the only way to get it off is push it back to straight, then pull up. This is utterly beyond a baby’s abilities, and by the time they develop that motor control, they can manipulate Duplo just as well. So both Primo and Quatro were redundant products. I had fun with the Primo and Quatro, and so did my children once they grew a lot older and wanted to play with the next baby. But to the babies themselves, it was a total loss.
