This years sales from insiders week to black Friday to again this double points weekend really will shift consumer behavior I believe. For next year I will be looking at making larger purchases towards these periods even more than I already did this year.
LEGO is clearly adopting a clearance strategy on retiring sets. Very visible in the warehouse too.
The gingerbread train has a pleasantly low sales threshold.
Love the train. Favourite gingerbread novelty of the lot! Ordered a few 2026 Speed Champions and a keyring (to prompt sending) at 01:00 which got sent by 10:00! So much better now that pre-orders count towards GWPs again!
I *would* preorder 77255 and 77256, but that option doesn't seem to be available.

It's also very small.
I'd order 20 more aquariums if I could still get the filter gwp but alas no.

All apart from 77256 and 77252 are in the UK.
Terminated all my Insiders accounts after the latest monumental fiasco two weeks ago, must be the worst order system/customer support a world leading company have in any business field.
That will show them, haha

I've centered much of my LEGO spending around this period already. Works out pretty fine, so far.

LEGO's customer support is actually quite excellent, especially compared to most other major companies.

I have some gripe with Lego regarding customer support, namely when they give two tracking numbers in an email but only track one on the website, and there's normally a delay in the delivery of the second, along no info on which sets are in which, so the site assumes you have all of your delivery when that is not the case.
Secondly, how long they hold a brick order in the warehouse before dispatch. I ordered one during insiders weekend, along with a set order. It has only just left Poland, meanwhile, my insiders order has arrived, my black Friday order has arrived, which was two tracking orders that were delivered on two days consecutively, why they couldn't have waited and delivered both on the same day, carbon footprint and all that, and my winter gazebo order has also shipped.
I complained to Lego, but I got fobbed off, which annoyed me, but then again at least they arrived.
Royal Mail decided to compete by sending a 48 hours tracked parcel in error to Cromer, then Gosport. It is now nine days late. I have no idea when or if that might turn up.

Sounds like you mostly have issues with your mail carrier rather than with LEGO, as LEGO isn't delivering the packages themselves. They just provide the tracking numbers, which you can follow from the mail carrier's website.
You also need to understand the brick orders come from elsewhere than LEGO sets do, so they simply can't be shipped at the same time. I don't have that much experience ordering just bricks, but I'm aware that if there are short supplies of certain bricks, it simply takes longer, especially during the busiest season of the year.
My Black Friday (well, Saturday) orders arrived within a week, and the order I placed last Tuesday arrived today, which is pretty fast considering how much packages are going around everyday.

I had a Pick-A-Brick order once that took almost a year before it was delivered. (sigh)
I missed out on the last GWP but will order and take advantage of this, although there's not much I can buy for now.

I've never had any issue with them, unless you count the live chat not working in Firefox.

Exactly my scenario right now! I ordered the Enterprise just after midnight on release. I was amazed it left the warehouse and moved to “in transit” on the 29th, unusually fast in my experience.
Got the dreaded two tracking numbers - the GWPs arrived fast enough but the main set is nowhere to be seen. The tracking number has now dropped off my DPD app and the tracking on Lego site updates the date and time everyday but still says in transit. DPD website just shows customs details have been exchanged but no mention of the actual parcel being in transit.
I chased up with customer services on Sunday and they have assured me it has definitely been despatched and not put on back order. I was told I should see an update by today and if not, to get back in touch. Surprise, there hasn’t been any change and I gave up on chat after waiting 30 minutes.
Frustrating to say the least!!

I agree. Add also impending retirement of a large number of sets and it definitely does make a considerable change in spending. I splurged out properly after waiting 3 years for the right combination of sets, GWP (40776), and prices.
Moreover, customer service has always been exceptional in my experience (maybe because it's Lego Japan): last year when i went to Korea, i tried to use my Lego card in store for points but i couldn't. After i emailed them asking why, they told me that Lego Korea didn't follow the same scheme, only online purchases for points (same aa Japan). They gifted me 20 points to my account out of goodwill.
The more recent problem i had was i couldn't redeem my Insider points to get 6435201 . After taking screenshots of the error message and sending them, they replied within 24 hours and sent it to me as a seperate order! (it turns out my account region had changed to UK by mistake)
It's starting to get expensive to get all these FREE gifts!

I’m hoping this was 2,000 points! ? :o(

Yeah, I can get sets shipped with PABB out of Illinois, but PABS used to ship from Denmark. I have no idea where it comes from now, because since we got PABS turned back on, all the orders I've received have had stickers covering up other stickers. I don't know if they're processing those in the US now, or if they're bulk shipping the envelopes to have postage processed domestically. But the weird one was getting two envelopes on the same day, for the same order, from the same warehouse, with only three parts in one of them.

Unfortunately not,but it was a typo: it was 200 points actually. i only bought 40643 and 40651 .
Saw the Enterprise in my store for the first time but struggled convincing myself to pick it up, even with the choo choo and 2x. Missing out on very desirable and mostly unavailable launch GWPs makes it hard to pick up the set later...
