Random minifig of the day: idea201

Posted by ,

Today's random minifigure is idea201 Lilo - Long Dress, a LEGO Ideas figure that came in one set, 21352 Magic of Disney, released during 2024.

Our members collectively own a total of 1,996 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $9.80.

Then they gave her legs in the house, and made Stitch the wrong shade of blue.

Good it wasn't a minidoll set.

Better not talk about the set that has this minifig, not so much because it also has Bruno in it, but more because of the hideous apprentice Mickey statue dominating the vignettes.

I have both of the CMF Stitches, one of these days I really should get myself a minifigure Lilo, since I have no real interest in 21352 and don't really have the space for 43268 (or at least won't have the space once I get through my backlog).

I prefer the 1x2 brick she has here over the short legs she got in the house set. I wish they printed both sides at least.

I can see why the house gave her legs, so she could sit and interact with things, but yeah this design better suits the long dresses she tends to wear in the film

The legs she has in the house have no articulation, so no, she can't sit.

Lilo! :D I was so happy when she finally got a minifigure; I'd got the Stitch CMF right away when the Disney wave was released - and in fact, that was what started the end of my dark age - but the lack of a Lilo in the same series to match him had always mildly bugged me. She gets nowhere near the same amount of love as Stitch does in merchandise, etc. - I get that the unique alien design makes him more interesting than 'just another human', but she's a great character in her own right too - so even though it took eight years I was thrilled that she finally got to join him in Lego form. I even nominated her (though she didn't make even the final poll...) for best minifigure of 2024, that was how pleased I was to see her!

I don't... have her yet, since the only two sets she's been in are beyond my present Lego budget. But even so just knowing she exists now makes me happy. Someday I'll add her to one of my Bricklink orders, I'm sure...

Personally I think the hair she has in the house set suits her better, but as others have said I also prefer the 'dress piece' for her legs here. I may end up mixing and matching between the two of them, as well.

Oh really? I thought they’d at least have given her the mid-way legs that are short but bend, that just makes not using a brick like this one extra pointless then

Ah yes, like that song by Cake?
