Where is he? I have no idea where he is!

I've been watching Andor, and the episode I watched yesterday had him in it. Also, I was a bit surprised that this is the first (and so far, only) figure they've done of the character.

That armor piece almost looks like it could be used for a custom Doom Guy.

Great figure, really hope this and the return of the death trooper mold means we’ll get some more Rogue One/Andor sets in the future

At least this and other bonus (20th/25th anniversary) minifigures come as complete figures, as opposed to that grift Build-A-Figure tactic or, worse, model-making subscription services that terminate just before you start on the car's second wheel axle.

Death Trooper mold? Huh. I got 75213 (and was supremely disappointed to discover that one's still alive, unlike the true original Death Troopers from the novel), and two copies of 75412, and never noticed the helmet was a different mold.

Huh? What's different? The printing is different, but the mold looks the same to me.

Everything except the noggin? Compare the troopers on the left (Stormtrooper helmets) with the two on the right (Deathtrooper helmets). They've got a different "nose", different temples, and different "jowls".

Do you mean you never noticed that the Death Trooper helmet is different from the Stormtrooper helmet?

I own three sets that they came in. I only got the SWAC for the OT/PT stuff, so the first time I actually pulled the Death Trooper out of the box was when I found out it _was_ a Death Trooper. And I put it right back when I saw that the head was that of a living human. Still haven't opened the little bag. I did open one copy of the other set, but only to strip the minifigs and shove them right in the bag containing my hunger of zombies. The other copy I'm planning to build, but haven't done so yet. It's possible I did notice they had a different helmet, but I spent all of a few seconds handling them, and the only thing I was really focused on was the fact that there's really not a good way to make the two Death Troopers different from each other.

"I was younger than you are now... I was a prisoner. They made a work camp in the jungle. No droids, no beasts, just men. And cargo. Onderon jungle. Real jungle! Hot, wet, blistering jungle. Old men died fast... just dropped where they stood. We came back next day, there'd be nothing but a bone or two where they went down. Clothes... just melted away! So they worked us naked. Two, three hundred men - boys, really - back and forth, until the only thing you could remember was back and forth.

Then one day, everyone started to itch. Everyone, all at once. Even the guards. You could feel your skin coming alive. It was the Rhydo! They had a leak. You could feel it before you could smell it. So they all panicked and ran away, but... it was new to me."

"It's done. I'm going to open the valve now." (opens valve)

"Oooooaaaahahaa.... I have always loved you...." (inhales fumes)

"What're you doing?!"

"There it is!" (still inhaling)

"How can you do that?"

"Because I understand it. Because she's my sister, Rhydo, and she loves me! That itch, that burn.... You feel how badly she wants to explode? Remember this. Remember this moment! This... perfect night.

You think I'm crazy? Yes... I am.

Revolution is not for the sane. Look at us! Unloved, hunted, cannon-fodder.... We'll all be dead before the Republic is back, and yet... here we are.

Where are *you*, boy? You're here! You're not with Luthen, you're here! You're right here, and you're ready to fight!"

(Wilmon takes his mask off and begins coughing violently, choking on the fumes)

"We're the Rhydo, kid! We're the fuel... we're the thing that explodes when there's too much friction in the air."

(Wilmon groans in agony)

"Let it in, boy. That's freedom calling! Let it in.... Let it run.... LET IT RUN WIIIIILLLD!!"

...Such an odd minifig to include in such a bad set. Maybe one day they'll make a good Sith Infiltrator. Oh, and we need a proper set for Saw's forces. Monochrome X-wing, please.

Saw’s trajectory in Star Wars lore is just wild to me. Like, what was thinking behind having this guy who’d guested in one arc of the Clone Wars cartoon pop up as a cameo in Rogue One? Could have been anyone, could have been a new character and instead they go for what is a fairly niche reference. And then everyone else runs with it and he keeps popping up in peripherals in Rebels, Bad Batch, Andor…
I wonder if he’d have become such an apparent fan favourite if not for Rogue One grabbing him and then getting Forrest Whittaker of all people to play him

You could mix the parts of the two zombie death troopers with the... normal?... one. So each fig would be 2/3 zombie, 1/3 normal.

What I meant is that before 2025 we hadn’t gotten death troopers in a Lego set since 2018 so the helmet mold hadn’t been used for a while. Thus, the mold returned in 2025

Yeah, I considered that, but there are a few problems with it:

1. Other than playing with hairstyles, I've tried to include every official LEGO zombie in my hunger*, and doing this would mean I had no official version of the Death Trooper included.
2. Thanks to the gold cracks, the zombie Death Trooper armor is very distinct compared to the unzombified version, and those pristine armor pieces would look really weird mixed with two pieces of the zombie versions.
3. One of them would still have a normal head underneath.

* All of 8683-5 have the S1 Skater hair in different colors, all of the brown version from 850487 have the PoP Dastan hair in different colors, and obviously I had to pick different hairstyles for 71010-8 and 71010-13, and pick a hairstyle to add to the Scooby-Doo zombie.

Why do all of your zombies need hair? Some people are bald, and I doubt that changes after zombification!

They don't all have hair. Two of the PotC zombies are bald. All of the Minecraft zombies are bald, even if they're wearing a hat or helmet. But I have seven S1 zombies, six brown zombies, six S3 Franks (all of the Franks make great zombies, but S3 was still in stores when I started my hunger, so I was able to pick up a few at MSRP), six S14 zombie businessmen, five S14 zombie chearleaders, and I just increased my Scooby zombies to eight. I picked a different hairstyle for each type of repeated zombie, and a different color of that hairstyle for each individual zombie of that type. Those six minifigs form the bulk of my hunger, but by giving them each a different hair element, it helps prevent them from all looking too same-y, especially since the brown zombie and the S3 Frank look so similar to begin with. Plus the Scooby zombies need something to cover the buttons holding the flap of the mask shut, and the various Franks can all use a little help to hide their origins. And having them all look a little different helps the truly unique ones (like the Zom-Bee) from standing out too much.

By in Germany,

Fascinating.
I have watched Andor just once.
I only gave the image of the fig a fleeting glance.
Yet I still immediately recognized who this was supposed to be.
Goes to show that sometimes LEGO really nail the likeness of a character in minifigure for.

By in United States,

@PurpleDave: You talking about customizing zombie hairstyles reminds me of the Zombatar feature in Plants Vs. Zombies.

David Aceveda: No, thank you.
Saw Gerrera: Come on, this is a fresh pack - it's Juicy Fruit.
David Aceveda: [pause] I said no - thank you.
Saw Gerrera: You hold it out long enough, some people feel compelled to take the gum. It's a sign they'll crack under pressure.
David Aceveda: I know.

Still bummed I missed this fig - just couldn’t justify buying the set he came in and the aftermarket price looks brutal. Hoping that this or variations show up in future sets.
