Random figure of the day: bdp068
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random figure is bdp068 Mother - Tan Knit Cable Sweater, Sand Green Legs, Dark Orange Ponytail, a BrickLink Designer Program figure that came in one set, 910004 Winter Chalet, released during 2023.
Our members collectively own a total of 1,351 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $10.30.

They made a tan version of this print for Minifig Factory (so it always goes on a white torso), which works pretty well for the sweater Kevin wears on the first day in Home Alone.
Second time we've had a RFotD using that torso that came from a BDP set: https://brickset.com/article/127316/random-minifig-of-the-day-bdp106 I mean, technically, that one was a RMotD, but still. Also, it occurs to me that with the renaming of Random Minifig of the Day to Random Figure of the day, all four "X Y of the Z" features have undergone some sort of change. Random Set of the Day went from seven days a week to six because of the Vintage Set of the Week, @Huw put the Random Part of the Day on indefinite hiatus due to too many missing part images in the database, Vintage Set of the Week had its tag changed from "Vintage Set of the Week" to simply "Vintage Set," and now Random Minifig of the Day has become Random Figure of the Day.
She certainly gives off mom energy.
thats a lot of money for a minifigure I can build, by just going through my minifigure bin
understand its because the figure is from a BLDP set, but even still
Even though this figure came from a Bricklink set, how come this generic minifigure can sell for $10.30 with the included parts that are easy to find? Like, I can find the exact parts of that minifigure for cheaper than the actual figure from the set.

It doesn't sell for around $10.30 on bricklink. It isn't clear where the "sells for" prices come from. It should really quote the average sold prices, but there is rarely a match with that data.

Well spotted. Yes, things change over time, for better or worse.

- con-pro: changes over time
- pro: does not poop on rug
She needs to tell her children not to walk my way.
Only now have I noticed than they changed the name. I literally saw the Voldemort one and still didn’t notice. And now, I’m completely outraged, angered, disappointed, flabbergasted, revolted and appalled by this tiny little change to a single word (jk)!!!!!!!!!! >:(
