Random figure of the day: sw1011
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random figure is sw1011 General Leia (Dark Tan Turtleneck, Detailed Vest), a Star Wars figure that came in one set, 75240 Major Vonreg's TIE Fighter, released during 2019.
Our members collectively own a total of 7,169 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $12.20.

yummy sand green
must say though, I do like that hair piece in that colour
I know what you're gonna say... I changed my hairpiece
Her vest might be the best thing about that entire movie. And beating out the end credits is no mean feat!

It’s nice that way.
This was a cool set. If I even cared about that TV series, I’d probably own it.
That Tie Fighter set was so peak.

I wish I'd gotten it. It's the only standalone minifig-scale TIE Interceptor they've done other than the original, 6206, back in 2006! And it has red stripes, which calls to mind Baron Soontir Fel's 181st squadron from the Legends continuity.

You probably didn't recognize me. Because of the hairpiece.
Ah yes, a figure from the vastly better of the two Resistance sets. It’s a pity the show and sets evidently didn’t do well-there were some other ships from that series that would have made for neat builds.

Yeah, wild to me the Fireball never was a set at least.
Seen here in her most casual of Donatello cosplays

Turtleneck… Turtle Power!!!
I do feel like they missed a trick with the expressions on this minifigure; they really could have differentiated them a lot more.

It is pretty weird, but I would guess the thinking was that TIE variants were a safer bet than original designs.

I wish I didn't know of it...
Today is the anniversary of the US release date of The LEGO Movie (February 7, 2014). I was hoping we would get a The LEGO Movie minifigure in RMotD, but no such luck.
R.I.P. Carrie Fisher. She was truly one-of-a-kind.

I guess, though the Black Ace “Interceptor” is barely recognizable as a TIE variant. And it’s not like Lego hadn’t and hasn’t done vehicles exclusive (or nearly) to a particular installment of Star Wars before.
It’s also just plain sad that Griff Halloran of all characters has a minifigure, as opposed to all the much more significant supporting characters who don’t.
