That beard is giving me Count Dooku vibes.

Does anyone know where that picture came from? I don't recall seeing a minifig picture formatted like that.

He seems to be a more mature player.

Oh man, this head was originally for Maharajah Lallu from Orient Expedition, but they got a lot of use out of that print

Actually, now that I think about it, I think it might just be from a Lego catalog or other promotional material.

Hockey pads? Who does he think he is, Batman?

Looks like a sea captain. Maybe this was his last season as a player before retiring to helm a fishing boat.

Ah, yes. After Babloo and his people, with aid from Johnny Thunder and co., overthrew his tyranical rule, former-Maharajah Lallu decided to make the best of things and started a hockey career. His former bodyguard https://brickset.com/minifigs/hky001 stuck with him, and together they were accepted onto the team, even making it to that year's NHL championship.

Ultimately, their hockey careers went nowhere beyond this, and the two parted ways. They would briefly cross paths again (somehow) in Knights' Kingdom II's 8813, this time on opposing sides of the conflict; but otherwise Lallu would spend much of his time in the world of the Vikings, before returning to the modern day to first be a maintenance worker on the coast guard platform of 4210, before becoming a railway engineer for 10194. Nothing more has been known of his career beyond this, so he may well still be working with the Emerald Night to this day.

(His former bodyguard in contrast, aside from also being a knight for a while, wasn't quite ready to give up on a sports career and played football for a little while (3569); and since then he has had such a varied career as being part of both Aqua Raiders (e.g. 7770) and Mars Mission (e.g. 7695), before returning to medieval times to battle trolls (e.g. 7038). He has not been heard from since, either, and may not have survived his attempt to raid the trolls' mountain fortress in 7097.)
