Shouldn't the set be called something like "Kai's Dragon Power Spinjitzu Flip featuring Dragon Power Kai doing his Spinjitzu flip (dragon not included)"?

He’s doing it with Dragon POWER, which he obtained FROM a dragon.

Or he would have, if the set or this figure variant were canon to the animated series, which they aren’t.

Most of the Ninjago headpieces look like helmets to me, basically starting from Year 2 where they added those tiara looking bits to their look

The only one I was interested in (and thus, the only one I got) was 71778, although if they'd done one for Zane, I'd probably have gotten that one, too.

This is a great-looking fig but it's kinda sad that recent "gimmick" sets like this rarely offer matching costumes for most of the ninja. Only Kai, Nya, and Lloyd got these versions, for instance. I don't expect them to go back to the era of having four to six spinner sets each year, but it'd be cool if they could manage to fit some of the others into other sets when they do an incomplete series like this.

The original four got matching outfits several times, but La-Loyd missed out on several of them. His original DX costume from the Target cube has a very different style to the original four, and Nya never got one. Nya's NRG outfit looks completely unrelated to the original four, and La-Loyd never got one. How frequently do they make matching outfits for all six of the core Ninja?

Lloyd’s NRG figure is the golden ninja from 2013. There are full sets of matching ninja for all of the main outfits from Posession through Core, plus NRG, Airjitzu, the movie outfits, and the new dragon form suits. The five male ninja appear in matching Crystalized, techno, final battle, and ZX robes.

Nya only has a Legacy ZX suit, does not appear in any final battle sets, only appears in stone armor in the rebooted sets, and has Samurai X variants for Crystalized and Rise of the Snakes but no ninja suit. All six technically have stone armor variants but Nya’s is a stone armor Samurai X suit rather than a ninja suit.
