By in United Kingdom,

Oh good, was thinking it was coming up to time for another one of these, and there's a couple there that will be quite useful for a couple of projects I've got lined up!

By in United States,

Wish this was "a thing" in the USA.

By in United Kingdom,

It's all about that bumper car. I'll even take the morning off work if it's one of the weekdays just to get a couple of those! Oh, and cue up the comments now about buying the awful daily mail vs getting nearly free Lego, it seems like months since we've heard those.......

By in United Kingdom,

@Delatron - I don't get people complaining about it, it's an awful paper, but at least I can donate it to the local schools to use for table covers and feel like I'm doing some good while getting the cheap polys!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Haha @Delatron, no comments section on a Mail giveaway is complete without that!

I'll try and get the Joker Bumper car but not so fussed about any of the others.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Nice selection :-) Already managed to get 4 of those listed, but not the Bumper Car - deffo looking forward to getting my hands on a couple of them :-)

By in United Kingdom,

Great news joker and city ones for me the only other ones I was hoping for were 30314 Go-Kart Racer and 30188 Cute Kitten or 30285 Tiger.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Fancy all of those except maybe the Ninjago one, but will get that also. The benefits of working in a town centre!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hurrah! That's a good section of poly bags as well. That A-Wing.... And the tractor for that matter!

I can probably get a spare set if anyone elsewhere in the world wants one.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I hope the disney one is a new one! Already got rapunzel! Like the little tractor, it's cute!

By in United Kingdom,

I assume that these will be available in the usual two places - WH Smiths and Toys R Us. I recently returned to Gloucester to work and am now in the centre with WH Smiths a short walk away and park near the Toys R Us - in previous years (when in Glos) I had to drive into the centre, pay for parking and then get to the shops. Always worth it though.

I still wonder why WH Smiths get to do these promotions as their pricing of normal Lego sets is so high it's beyond funny. They surely cannot sell many sets.

By in United Kingdom,

@Shib and @Lee_Fett1980, you're both right there! There will be plenty of papier mache in my house after that week......

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Anyone know if they do this in Republic of Ireland?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Looking forward to it. I buy the Mail all the time anyway, excellent read, so this is just a super bonus.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wish we could actually get some of these polybags in the US... I haven't seen some of these polybags pop up in any US store near me yet while some other countries already have them in hand.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This looks like a really good selection. It's just a shame that the newspaper is such a twisted beacon of hate that it taints all mankind by its very existence really.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Delatron & @Shib
Well, I would have said nothing, but saying as you're inviting comment :-)

I am one of those who wouldn't buy The Hate Mail to get this promo. If I was really desperate for a great set and it was the only way to get it, I'd probably do it, but at the end of the day, I can build any of those models from the parts I have, so I don't feel the need to compromise my principles.

Giving my money and my contact details to a bunch of homophobic, xenophobic morons is a step too far for a bit of cheap Lego and it only encourages them. WHS also do those promotions where you get a free bottle of water if you buy the Hate Mail or Torygraph. I'm one of those mugs who pays more for the water rather than giving the The Hate Mail any money.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm on the beg! Anyone able to get me a set(s) or even just a random selection. I'm out of the country until June and can PayPal or bank transfer cash in advance too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Were any of these in the recent Netto sale? Was expecting them to show up in a newspaper promo.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I really need this Tractor and Bumper car, but i can't find them anywhere in my country, any clues?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Funny how the tolerant lefties commenting on here are the ones filled with all the hate. The irony is brilliant! The Daily Mirror is no better than the Mail for all the same reasons. As for the Telegraph, it's easily the best edited paper for sale. If you don't like something you discuss and debate about why you feel you are right, unfortunately the classic left trick post the Blair/Brown years is to close down the debate and label the opposition as bigoted to avoid said debate. See classic examples above.

By in United Kingdom,

@goldfish
AFAICT, I'm the only one above who criticised the Mail and Telegraph and as I don't see any other comments, I don't see how your comments can relate to what I said. I didn't mention the Daily Mirror, nor did I "close down the debate".
I simply said that I'd rather not have cheap Lego (or water) than buy those trashy papers. And I accused the Mail of being "homophobic, xenophobic morons".

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

You said tory graph, which is a dig at the telegraph, but if you took the time to read it, which I guess you never do, it's a superb paper, especially editorially. There is a reason it has huge circulation compared to the likes of the guardian and the Independant, despite Tories/Lab polling around 34% each. Yeah the Mail is naff of course, but so are certain left leaning papers like the Mirror for the same reason. It's called lack of tolerance of other viewpoints.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can we talk about the Polybags instead of the newspapers that they come with? I would still be interested to know when some of these polybags will hit the US as I have not seen many of them including the jokers bumpercar, the A-Wing, the tractor and the off roader.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@goldfish
Yes, you are being intolerant of my viewpoint :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Blah blah blah blah newspaper

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If you are going to bait for comments about it don't get all upset when people reply. Lego are involving themselves with a political entity, one that is disgusting and divisive. Its not a smart move if you want to avoid your brand being politicised and the negative associations that brings. The timing this year falling around the time of the election is far worse for annoying potential customers because of the headlines that are going to be seen alongside this giveaway. Lego need to switch partners to a non-political entity on this promotion if they don't want to muddy the brand.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@curious,

You forgot 'in your opinion'. Once again you are speaking as if others must share your view. The Daily Mail has a 2m circulation, the largest of any paper, so you are in one broad brush labelling all readers based on your own personal view. Presumably you would like everything to be non negotiable and us to live in a left of centre totalitarian state with no differing views. The irony is that there is little difference between far right and far left, both are totally intolerant. There is a good reason the nazi party saw themselves as hard left of centre, or national socialists.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I don't vote so couldn't care less :-D

Politicians. Scum of the earth

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Would it be possible to keep your political views to yourselves? Whether or not I agree with you, I don't think this is the website to discuss your world views.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It doesn't matter what the political entities leaning is. It's a political entity in election time, a bad idea for a toy brand as currently demonstrated with your assistance. Any of the newspapers would be a bad choice, because opponents of any major newspaper number in the millions. a magazine or a supermarket would be more sensible.

Do you really need to go straight to Nazis. I was refraining from mentioning the Daily Mail is the newspaper that wrote an editorial supporting the Nazis.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well I suggest if you want to live in your left wing utopian state, you migrate to South America to somewhere like Argentina, Ecuador or Venezuela, and see how you get on with freedom of speech and what sort of press freedom there is there. I suspect you will be rather quickly craving for the sort of diversity we have here that you ironically want to shut down.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Umm goldfish I think it is you that needs a lesson in irony. You are the only one on here demanding others be silenced. You started the newspaper and LEGO debate then got all huffy when people discussed it. You immediately jumped back in with the usual and tired attacks on 'lefties'.
How about you take your own advice and keep quiet.
As for the debate I'm amazed LEGO associates with the Daily Heil it's very off brand for a family friendly company. As a gay man i would never buy a copy of that hate filled rag. I'm disappointed in LEGO

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@jsworpin,

You made my point with your sweeping statements and crude word plays written as if we all should agree with you, thanks!

I am no.fan of the mail, I was just preempting the tedious people.telling me and others what I should.like.in a democracy. Like you.

By in United Kingdom,

I realised a couple of days ago that another promotion was on its way when one person on Ebay sold over 300 packets of 30313.
If anyone in Germany is after them; the Obletter toy shop on Marienplatz in Munich is selling 30284, 30311 & 30312. Think I also saw 30202 (Smoothie Stand) there whilst I'm at it.
Somehow suspect that Lego will never be able to associate itself with any newspaper and avoid the politics involved. Comes with the territory.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I hope they're available at stores other than TRU and WHS. I don't think I can make it to either on a weekday before they sell out. I was after The Joker Bumper and Kai Drifter and will be disappointed if I miss out.

@omnium, During past promotions, I've only once been asked to provide my contact details. I falsely gave my name as Paul Dacre and my address as 2 Derry Street, London W8 5TT. Paul Dacre is the editor of the Mail and 2 Derry Street is their offices. I'm sure Mr Dacre didn't mind receiving the junk mail his and other "carefully selected" organisations would have sent me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yeah, waiting impatiently for Jokers Bumper car to appear in the US

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thanks for the heads-up. I used to pick these up from the WH Smith at Victoria station, but for the last promotion they stopped doing it, saying it caused too many queues at the tills.
I ended up going over to Oxford St at lunchtimes, but on several days, they'd sold out before I got there.
Will have to come up with an alternative strategy this time.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Anyone know if you can collect the tokens and post them off for the entire collection ? Toysrus / whs only get about 5 polybags in each store in n.ireland .

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I've never seen any of the poly bags here in NZ, except from the resellers on the local auction site. Why doesn't LEGO sell and promote these worldwide like the Minifigures?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Zander
I like your style :-)
@CCC
That would be a bizarre thing to do, but yes, I'm sure some people will do just that!

Of these models the tractor is my favourite. Reminds me of my youth. I know I have all the parts for it already, I just need to get around to building it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I went to the daily mail website and they said that the offer includes completely different sets form what you listed.
