Blocks Issue 8 out now

Posted by ,

Blocks issue 8 has just been sent out to subscribers and will be in the shops later this week. If you don't want to wait you can subscribe at blocksmag.com and receive it, and future issues, hot off the press.

This is the first one that's been written by a new team of writers. I received mine yesterday but haven't had a chance to read it yet although at first glance it certainly looks as if the high standard you've come to expect has been upheld. Let us know what you think of it in the comments.

It's early, so I'm assuming that's a genuine question and not a sarcastic comment... ;o)

Blocks is the original* magazine that was launched about 9 months back. Bricks and BrickCulture are the two new ones.

*Yeah, yeah, BrickJournal's been around for donkey's years

By in United Kingdom,

I got mine on Saturday. Another good read. They've certainly gone a bit piratey this issue. Like Bricks 1 focussing on vehicles, I don't think giving the mag an overall theme is a great idea. I'm not particularly into cars or pirates. Of course, I'll change my mind if they do a Classic Space or Star Wars themed issue ;-)

I always enjoy Simon Pickard's techniques articles, they must be my favourite and I always learn something.

I got through this issue of Blocks quicker than previous issues. Overall, I guess both mags have too many reviews for my liking.

Best cover yet! Still not getting another issue, too disappointed so far (although with the new team and all, maybe it's worth another shot)
