July shop.LEGO.com offers in Europe

Posted by ,

Hoth Bricks has published details of the European July offers at shop.LEGO.com and brand stores, and it seems there are a lot of them:

  • 1-7 July: VIPs will receive a white classic space minifig and robot (pictured) on orders over €30
  • 1-16 July: Free Chima polybag 30264 Frax with orders over €30
  • 17-31 July: Free Chima polybag 30265 Worriz' bike with orders over €30
  • 18-31 July: 10242 Mini Cooper will be available to VIPs, and 40109 mini Mini Cooper polybag will be thrown in, too.

Note that offers in the USA are often timed differently nowadays, and I haven't seen the July US calendar yet to know what's on offer there. Have you?

Really hoping those awesome promos come out in the US at some point...

By in United Kingdom,

That's a lot of promotions - better start saving!!!
Loving that space promo!

By in United Kingdom,

These look super enticing, I'm guessing these offers also apply to the UK (£25 spend?). Hope so, I NEED that Frax poly. The Space offer just sweetens the deal :-)

By in United Kingdom,

This seems very generous, I will have to spread my purchases throughout the month.

By in United Kingdom,

@BrickSnorter, thanks. Quite different then.

@huw stores.lego.com has the monthly store newsletter in PDF format - change region to US for the June and July calendars.

By in Belgium,

Really great news, can't wait 'till the first of July! But... he doesn't seem to be wearing the original Classic Space helmet to me, does he? They really don't dare to produce that one again?

@stilte
That mold was retired many years ago. The chin strap was too brittle, and had a tendency to snap (hence the broken helmet design of Benny in The Lego Movie).

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Many of my helmets are broken too, but still it would have been nice if they would have taken the risk to recreate the Classic Space minifig as it was in the 80's. Somehow, the broken helmet matches this minifig very well... like Benny, ;-) But hey, no complaining, this really is a very nice promotional set, so I still am loving it very much! :-)

They could have made a new mould with a thinker chin strap they could have used it a few times too

By in Thailand,

I guess North America will have to wait for the Chima polys in August when that theme debuts here.

By in United States,

@SMC
They did. It's the one included with the minifigure.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Promo looks great. Hope they match something like this up with the release of the Exo Suit!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I had a preview of the VIP set earlier today and it's lovely. The box isn't just a normal lego box it's like a matchbox and pulls out from the right hand side. It's made from really heavy card stock and has the old lego logo around the edges, it's a lovely piece. Each UK store has been given 200 pieces.

By in United States,

Oh, I hope this offer will be valid in the US, I would love that space-man and robot for my Exo-Suit!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well, I think Europe has done better than the US for offers! I hope the space offer comes to the UK. Only a €30 spend as well!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Classic Space promo should be available in the US in September.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why didn't they use Benny's helmet recolored in white for that promo? It can't be TLM exclusive, can it...

Wait, so they're using the big, rounded helmets on the Exo-Suit's minifig? If the face isn't fleshie, I think that would be against the spirit of the model: It's Neo-Classic-Space, which is required to use fleshies. Yellow head + big round helmet = no win.

By in Australia,

Where does Australia fit in to all this - do we get the European or the US promos? Would love that frax poly and the classic space set is fantastic! But I'm not interested in the TMNT stuff and I don't know how long I can keep holding out on Benny's spaceship!

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

please, Please, PLEASE be available in Australia

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I believe Australia gets the European promos.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What is this? Why wouldn't they use Benny's helmet in white?! They spent all the money on the design, but they don't want to shove it down our throats as much as the other space helmets?

I'm going to be so disappointed if the Exo-Suit doesn't use Benny's helmet. It just seems lazy to me.

On the USA calendar, July 24-25 says "Follow us on Facebook to see the next exclusive LEGO set, which will be unveiled at Comic Con International." Comic Con is July 24-27, and seems the perfect place to reveal a UCS BATMAN TUMBLER.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@FuddRuckus: Or possibly to reveal the Exo Suit...

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I am quite possibly imagining this because of the angle and the small size of the pic but to me the space helmet almost looks like a hybrid between the old classic space style and the newer helmet. Also the white background is probably fooling me as well and I'm seeing what I want to see but the curvature of the chin strap doesn't seem as strong as I was expecting if it's the "modern" helmet.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Australia/NZ is serviced from Europe so will get its offers.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The minifig and helmet is facing the camera, so it's hard to tell. However, if you look closely you can see it slopes in slightly at the bottom. It's not the classic helmet since that had straight sides. I don't see any reason to suspect it's anything other than the modern motorcycle helmet. LEGO have done plenty of promotional 'Classic Space' spacemen with the modern helmet over the years.

I don't see why anyone would want Benny's helmet to be used either - the chinstrap on that is deliberately asymmetric to look like it's broken.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

These all look great! Wow, I sure will try to get them all!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I was going to delay buying the Mini in favour of picking up the VW Camper soon but the VW will have to wait. Hopefully I'll get the little and large Minis and the Worriz poly for my son on the 18th. The classic Spaceman is tempting, but there's no free shipping on a £25 spend is there?

By in United States,

Will the astronaut and robot set ever be available in the US?

I really like the set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ I hope so. The USA calendar mentions a mystery set to be available for VIPs July 18-31, but I think that is obviously the Mini Cooper.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

@legoknight75: have you any idea about the amount of sets in shops outside the UK? 200 seems a rather low amount of sets. I don't suppose there will be any left by the end of this promotional action? So, is there any need to hurry? And will it also be available for purchases via the webshop?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Sorry I'm afraid not I just know what the UK stores have been allocated. And yes your right it's in very limited supply probably due to the cost to make it. I think you'll all be very surprised at the quality of it when you see it :)

By in Malaysia,

Just bought a 3 lego ghostbuster online in the US today 27 June 2014. Got a free lego ticket and 40108 Ballon cart.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

This is so lame. An old, incomplete (no visor) minifigure that most of us already have, accompanied by a robot easily assembled with common parts, packaged in a stupidly oversized box just to fool us into thinking it's special.
