LEGO has published official images of 21109 Exo-Suit and 21110 Research Centre on its server in preparation for them being sold at shop.LEGO.com. Check them out on the set detail pages 'More images' tab.

In other new set news, a new Arctic 'battle pack' has been found in US brand stores. Priced at $14.99, 850932 features two Arctic minifigs, a tent and various supplies. Thanks to Matthew H. for the news.

Wow, the Arctic base camp is truly amazing

I love the Exo-Suit! Even though I have a keen eye for Castle at the moment, the Exo-Suit may just slip past...! The Research Institute - probably not, though it looks good. The Arctic Camping Pack is just RUBBISH. It's the same as the Friends Jungle Camping Pack, which was also rubbish.

There's a Friends 'battle pack' much like the Arctic on to tie-in with the upcoming jungle sub-theme.

I kind of like the tent.

Those "battle packs" are becoming an even bigger ripoff. I'd love some LEGO tents but not for 42 pieces and $15. For that price there needs to be a few more mini figures and a bear.

Is this set due to be released on August 1st along with Exo-Suite?

The arctic set is missing a Husky....

Liking the battle pack, but the last thing you want is a yellow popsicle when you're out in the snow. Nice one Lego.

Why is there a popsicle?

By in New Zealand,

I wish people in the States wouldn't complain about prices. Over here LEGO sets are often priced at double the cost of the US and the exchange rate is 1 NZD = 0.870134 USD. That is a rip off. Also we have to buy $300 of LEGO to get free shipping whereas I think it is only $75 for the Good ol' USA. In the US you also have the chance to more easily secure limited edition polybags, minifigs, sets etc. I know NZ isn't the only country that has these disadvantages but be thankful that you can get so much more for so much less. Maybe not the most appropriate place for this comment but this has been annoying me for a while.
Rant over......

By in United States,

I'll be getting a two or three of the research center and five of the exo-suit.
@gmonkey76: good one! :-)
@The Green Brick Giant: yeah, what's a "battle pack" with two minifigs? That doesn't make any sense. I agree this should have two more. I remember the other packs used to have five and now they seem to have gone down to four, but two is ridiculous.

[quoting Pizzareno]

Same situation in Italy:
no LEGO Brand Store, no polybag, no promotional set, no "battle pack", but "yes" with currency exchange. USD Amount = EURO amount (75 USD = 75 Euros, meaning that a 75 USD set costs 101-102 USD to us)

Nice one LEGO :(

I'm still hoping for a small set with the dog-sled team.

All nice pictures.

C'mon guys 'n' gals, let's be realistic about the cost of Lego. I'd gladly pay European rates if healthcare were taken care of here in the States like it is civilized countries. Most of our taxes here in the States seems to go towards our playing policeman of the world unfortunately.

Anyway, what's that tent made from? It's hard to tell from the photo.

The tent is made out of the same fabric as the capes, or so it feels like. I agree with the yellow ice cream as being weird. I do like the small stove though.
