According to the instructions there are actually three different stickers you can use for the logo (and nine corresponding face buttons). Not sure what the difference is between two of them; I’m guessing it’s for Europe and Japan, with some subtle difference between them?

It would seem the control pad START button also came in red and blue.
It'd be nice to have the 4211508 T-PIECE in either of those colours at some stage :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: this is a heck of a year for 80s/90s kids! Game Boy, Simpsons, Nike, and now Sega Mega Drive controllers!! *over the moon* :D p.s and let's not forget 40805

I was tempted to make a purchase until I saw the controller is all stickers.

Before that surely they just add Numbers and call it Genesis 2, that could have been a Revelation. But this is a Job for better Judges than us, Acts like naming things biblically could cause an Exodus.

Excludes preorders. Dang, that kind of kills it for me this time. Was holding off on the gameboy for this reason. I don’t recall ever seeing them state “excludes preorders” before.

Pick A Brick still has not been updated, a week into the month

I was completely assuming this would come later, as maybe a second controller alongside an actual yet-to-be-announced Lego Genesis console a la the NES and 2600... I guess now that I think about it, that doesn't make a lot of sense. Still, I don't know if I actually want just a random controller without a console.

Damn, I just got WALL-E and the Game Boy. Had I waited I would've met the exact threshold. What can ya do.

This is so shady of Lego, the Game Boy comes out in October and this deal excludes pre-orders, they know full well that those are complimentary sets.

They did, I think because preorders don’t ship right away, and they got sick of people complaining when the GWP ran out before they got one.

Luckily I needed to buy the Trevi Fountain which perfectly falls within the purchase threshold :)

Perfect GWP. Not essential but a very nice novelty. Got with 40805-1 and several other small sets I'd been waiting for a nice GWP to get with.
