Random minifig of the day: ani002

Posted by ,

Today's random minifigure is ani002 Rosie, a Animal Crossing figure that came in one set, 77050 Nook's Cranny & Rosie's House, released during 2024.

Our members collectively own a total of 2,443 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $12.50.

So we've had two animal Crossing figures, and multiple Chima figures (I'm not going through the whole history of the feature right now to count them), but no Fabuland figures? I'm also still waiting on a Technic figure.

I was at a Lego show last year and they had play bricks from Lego. This set must have been one that they had extra stock of, because there were bits of this figure throughout the play bricks. I managed to piece together two of these and one Tom Nook while I was there.

Is this our first Animal Crossing RMotD? We don’t seem to have a feature that notes that for minifigures like there is for sets.

@TheOtherMike:
I could have sworn we had a Technic figure recently, but I'm finding nothing going back to December.

That’s not a bad torso print, I could see that serving as a jumper on a normal minifig without quite such an unsettling head

Sure you didn’t mean to write “possessed” as your last word there? :D

By in Netherlands,

Given AC's own style and design-language, it should be easy to just keep using this mould for every cat-villager there ever was.

But not Ankha, and you have the internet to thank for that. No, don't give the internet any more attention. It knows what it did.

Not sure why but the head reminds me of those helium balloons they sell in the malls.

It's strange to me how in recent years, LEGO will go out of their way to make unique molds for certain minifigs like for Animal Crossing, yet avoid it for others (I can't stand the recent Toy Story sets).
