Random minifig of the day: ani009

My Ricky Raccoon is visiting Bunnie at her campsite.

Bunnie! She was one of my original neighbors back on the Gamecube so I was thrilled she debuted in the first wave of Animal Crossing sets. Her head mold has also been reused for Sasha (a more recent rabbit villager from New Horizons), but there's twenty other rabbit villagers it could be used for in the future (including Chrissy and Francine, who appear on the Bubblegum K.K. album cover tile in one of the other sets).

Even large dogs sit really low in the water, unless they're extremely overweight. I'm not sure if they can even keep their entire head above the surface. Even if having a racoon parked on their head isn't enough to fully submerge it, all it really takes is forcing the nose underwater intermittently in an unpredictable manner. Once the dog gets a little water in its lungs, the coughing fits and a very uncooperative mass scrambling around on its head will do the rest. And the thing is, they know they're at an advantage, so they'll head straight for water if they feel threatened.

So the in-game version is less horrifying, right?

Ngl, this being the sole minifig in that set put me off from buying it when it was on sale. I don't like the vibe of this fig. Now that I'm taking a moment to look at it, it reminds me of a weird clown with the way the face is laid out and the jacket looking like that of a circus clown.
I don't even mind clowns. But this fig just does not fit the rest of the set.

I did get 30662 though. A more pleasant set on the whole. Cheaper too.

In fact, I don't think people mistakenly call him "Rocket Raccoon" because he resembles the Procyon Lotor; I think people just call him that because he wallows in garbage.
