Great set for figures. The actual set itself, honestly, I can barely remember because I've had it displayed as a crash site in the middle of a battle for all these years. It's probably better than 7665 Republic Cruiser on technical aspects, but I honestly couldn't tell you, it's been too long, and the experience was not as memorable as it was with the Episode I set since it had never been made before, and the red just pops.
Great set for figures, and the build.
Cheapest USED set for sale on BL in the USA, complete without box is $549.99. It's a cool set though, I have it displayed next to the 7665 Cruiser.
I've always liked the design of the Republic Cruiser and the Republic Frigate, but as Lego sets they seem from the pictures to be very fragile and without much interior space. Can anyone who has either of the sets say something about their swooshability and interior features?

Well, it's got dark-red parts, and came out in 2011. Even if the model isn't fragile, I suspect some of the component parts will be.
This was my first ever 1000+ piece set, and still one of my favorites to this day
So Eeth Koth is the only one of the Jedi figures who has yet to get a non-Clone Wars variant.
Feels like LEGO capital starships always appreciate in value. The less regularly the ship happens to be made as a set, the better for it.

Some of the the array at the back is a little on the fragile side, being only a plate or two thick and trying to hold those big engines but the rest of it has always been fairly solid to me. It is quite lacking in internal space though; the cockpit at the front is quite minimal and while there’s certainly been an attempt at jazzing up those side compartments there’s just not much room in them for much
It doesn't look swooshable at all. Nice figure set though...
I only remember this one exists because of the wolfpack clones. Which is telling because I'm not a minifig guy. It has just been less memorable than the EP1 version

Does Nadhar Veb count?

The lack of internal space is my biggest complaint about this and the blockade runner.
Was lucky enough to get this back in the day. Wolffe is a goated fig
Some flaws in its design, but I love it so much. The minifigs are incredible, and the ship has great playability and great presence on display too.

There's also Plo Koon (none of his minifigures features his PT robes) and Even Piell.
The stickers on those round pieces are such a pain, not to mention the above mentioned fragile parts of the build. Nevertheless this was a fun set
They need to make a new Commander Wolffe minifig. The last one was https://brickset.com/minifigs/sw0750 , which was a great fig, but we still don’t have him in his Phase II armor.

Whoops-I meant to specify that Eeth Koth is the only Jedi from THIS SET who only has a Clone Wars variant.
Such an amazing CW set. Definitely could use a remake as the proportions are slightly off.
It's quite swooshable thanks to the handle, which is well hidden and quite impossible to match on this picture. You can grab it securely and swoosh it around, even if the balance is not ideal (it tends to pivot around it's gravity center while handling). Quite robust for it's size. As mentioned above not much space in it. A front and rear cockpits for 1 figure each+ side compartments for two figures and a bit of equipment (blasters, light saber and if my memories are good a crate with thermal detonators... )
I see a pre-buyout EU character in this set...!
...debatably. I mean, Quinlan Vos technically *did* first appear in the movies, but only as a background extra in The Phantom Menace who I don't suppose most people even thought twice about. Someone at Dark Horse, however, clearly did think twice about him and gave him a whole comic arc that continued throughout the original 2003 - 2005 Clone Wars multimedia project.
In a recursive reference, Quinlan actually does get name-dropped in Revenge of the Sith as well, (Obi-Wan tells Anakin "Salucemi has fallen, and Master Vos has moved his troopes to Boz Pity"); although if a viewer had only seen the movies and not read any of the supplementary material, they would have no reason to associate that name with some background random on Tatooine with a yellow stripe across his face who'd had a front-row seat to Sebulba beating up Jar Jar two movies prior...!
...
Well, I mean. This is of course the TCW animated version of the character, not the EU version; but as a classic!EU guy all the way, he's still the most interesting part of this set to me! (The frigate is neat too, but like others have said, I think the TPM Republic Cruiser version looks nicer, due to the colour and being more iconic.)
I guess in most ways (and in the eyes especially!) the more recent Vos minifigure from 75151 looks better than he does here... though I've got to say, I do really like the use of the recoloured Hermione hairpiece to represent his rather thick and chaotic locks. In some ways I like that hairpiece for him even more than the Thorin hairpiece used on the later version... it's not as accurately long, but in the comics his hair often falls closely around his face, which I feel this piece represents more effectively. This minifig captures Vos' perpetual brooding scowl better, too...
Got this for $40 on Wal-Mart clearance. If only I'd known how much the value would grow I would have picked up a few more...

Darkly amusing that he should be in a Turbo Tank set, because in the graphic novel adaptation of Episode III, he's standing on such a tank when Order 66 comes through, and another tank fires on him.

It's actually remarkably solid, save for the antenna array and gun points. The retractable technic handle gives you a structurally hard frame around which it's built that you can lift and swoosh the whole ship without fear of bits popping off. I've not had any trouble with durability or dark red in these ships, I have both Republic Cruisers.

Quinlan is also mentioned in the Kenobi series, I believe. He survived Order 66 and made it to the Path.
