City Advent Calendar - Day 18
Posted by CapnRex101,I think yesterday's Christmas tree costume was the highlight of this Advent Calendar so far and it will be almost impossible to equal that minifigure today.
Nonetheless, I am curious to see what we get...
It has been a while since we received a toy based on a recent LEGO set in the Advent Calendar, so this LEGO truck, loosely inspired by 60440 LEGO Delivery Truck, is a splendid addition today. Even at this scale, the yellow and red trailer is easily recognisable and the truck's proportions are realistic, using roller skates for the wheels. Perhaps the cab could have adhered more closely to the minifigure-scale set, but that is my only criticism.
Overall - Even as a tiny minifigure-scale toy, this LEGO delivery truck looks great.

Beep, beep.
I’m curious now if these actually exist, or if they’re only a fictitious design used for advertising purposes like the Christmas Coca-Cola trucks that I’ve never once seen on the road.

They definitely exist in Billund. You see yellow LEGO-branded trucks driving around quite regularly, especially if you walk out to the industrial part of town.
Finally one that is affordable.
Looks like a european cab this time. Cool
Got the bulldozer again. Disappointed because this is a good one today.
After the lovely fig yesterday this is on form. It's cute. I'm used to the small builds by now. Wouldn't it have been lovely to get maybe a 1x1 printed LEGO logo tile or brick on it though? That would have made this really special

Couldn’t wait for 60500?

I suppose that makes a certain amount of sense. They have their own international airport, so why not their own shipping fleet? But at some point it makes more sense to use a common carrier to deliver smaller loads.

Can and will, but in the meantime, this is what we got.
My 8 yr old son and I take turns opening each day - he chose even days (he wanted Christmas Eve) and I got odd days. Funny thing is, he loves minifigs and I think every minifig has landed on my days. Needless to say, we're getting 2 advent calendars next year. LOL

Oh, wow, yeah. All five family members, plus the cat and dog, and the other day was the plush polar bear. Everything he’s gotten so far has been minifig-scale versions of sets, or sports equipment. And a riding lawnmower with a snowplow attachment. Well, you’ve each got three days left to go, so maybe his luck will change.
Awww, a nice cute LEGO truck.
