LEGO's Black Friday event has begun and in addition to the release of 10356 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, over 100 sets have been reduced, many of which, it has to be said, were overpriced to begin with. Here are a few to whet your appetite:

UK/Europe:

  • 21342 The Insect Collection - 40% off - £41.99 / €47.99
  • 21343 Viking Village - 20% off - £87.49 / €97.99
  • 21335 Motorized Lighthouse - 30% off - £181.99 / €209.99

USA:

  • 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama - 50% off - $39.99
  • 76781 Wednesday & Enid's Dorm Room - 50% off - $44.99
  • 71486 Castle Nocturnia - 40% off - $119.99
  • 75376 Tantive IV - 40% off - $47.99

You can view all discounts at LEGO.com where you are, although it's not possible to order by percent discount. You can do that on our Buy listings, which I've just updated.

21343 Viking Village is a great set

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

Its not a discount its a fair price for those sets

By in Netherlands,

Finally bought 21343 Viking Village, as well as a bunch of other sets, so I got all the GWPs.

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

They're all unavailable... lol

By in United Kingdom,

Is t just me or is the LEGO site having some issues loading?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Jungle Explorer heli and Robot World go on sale for the first time ever... and they immediately sell out... I guess I won't be participating in the Black Friday deals after all lol.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The best deal for me is the free 800 Insider points (£5) voucher to be honest.

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

No regular Harry Potter sets ? Hmm looks like they are selling great them

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

When I heard that castle nocturnia was getting 40% off in the US I was devastated that the uk wasn’t getting this discount, however I added it to my bag just in case it got discounted when the clock struck midnight , and it did! Can’t believe I got that beauty of a set for only £102

I was looking forward to getting both the Jungle Heli and the Pharrell Williams set at more bearable prices and... neither is part of the Black Friday discounts in the EU :/

Looking through at midnight none of the sale sets appealed. So I finally got the Zelda Deku Tree, 77092, with the GWPs, knowing that if this set ever does go on sale I'd likely never be quick enough to snag it.

The morning after, I'm feeling pretty happy about it, even at full price.

Between a canceled order on Insiders weekend and everything sold out I'm interested in today, this is the only thing I got from Lego.

Glad I stayed in the que until the site refreshed just after midnight to get the Enterprise, because its already sold now just 7 hours later when I looked at the site again.

The only reason I decided to recheck Lego.com was because the rewards for the 1000 points when redeeming 200 didn't work for me. I redeemed the reward without issue, but every time I tired entering the code it kept coming back as invalid. I figured I should give it some time since the site was overloaded with it being just after midnight. Decided to try it again and the code worked without issue, since it was 7 hours later now and the site would have calmed down.

This happens every year during a big sale or release, you'd think Lego would have stuff together by now.

Bricklink hasn't worked, for me, for days.

I think the hamsters might've fallen out of the wheels.

Trying to understand how one can spend many hundreds of dollars on some blocks then get excited about a 5$ voucher... math's don't math

By in United Kingdom,

I was tempted by 75331 UCS Razor Crest but it had gone out of stock by the time I got through the queue at 12:11. I then added 76925 Aston Martin Safety Car & AMR23, but then got distracted by something, and by the time I got back, it too was out of stock. Not too bothered, as they're not 'must-haves; for me, but it goes to show you need to act fast on sale days!
I put 10356 The Enterprise into my cart to see if 40768 Type 15 Shuttle Pod GWP was still availiable, and to my surprise, it's still available as of now...

By in Netherlands,

Those are genuinely great sets. I bought all three of the EU sets a few years ago, but it was a different time. We were different people.

Or maybe it's just me.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The discounts don't do much for me, everything I'm interested in is still (much) cheaper elsewhere. And as a result already have 9 sets coming my way.....

Did however get the 1000 points for 200 (and indeed via some alternative URL as the one Lego sends you doesn't work......where's the facepalm smiley when you need one?), which gave me enough points to get the 40789 Moon Car. And got a couple of exclusives I still wanted with that.

One thing that is annoying is that while I was aware that 40806 was on backorder, the other items I picked should all be in stock......though according to a mail I got an hour after the order confirmation they are all on backorder. Which is not what the website shows if you visit the product pages, and after a while the status of the items in my order changed once again, so apparently they are now processing the stuff. I think. Wonder when I'll get anything now....

How can such a big company have such an amateuristic web shop.....come on Lego, it is not 1998 anymore!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m surprised that both 75376 and 40675 haven’t even been put on backorder yet. Glad I stayed up for 40796 and 75383.

It didn't work last night for me either, but it did now. I was wondering if I had gotten suckered and did not read fine print somewhere about requiring an online order with the code. Nope, their site just couldn't process anything.

By in Netherlands,

I already overspent my annual LEGO budget by 10% so I had to resist the temptation of the many deals on offer. But I did pull the trigger on The Force of Creativity 5008878 for 40% off. I just used my annual book budget to justify the purchase :)

By in France,

Sorry to have missed Friends Andrea’s House on sale

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Lego Insiders also have for 200 insider point you get 1000 insider points without any purchase (Ends on 1 December 2025). That's 800 insider points for free :)

Agreed. I bought it several months ago, and I absolutely love it. So many useful parts, the minifigures are great, and I love how all of the buildings are positioned at angles to one another.

That’s admirable you have allocated funds for Lego and books and I presume other hobbies. I just buy when I find it to be a good deal. I should really stick to a budget though. Would help make it more predictable.

While I won’t turn my nose up at free points, but 800 free points is like a little over $5. Nothing too exciting.

By in United States,

Brickset's been giving me issues today, trying to access my wanted list so I can figure out what I want to deal hunt but the page keeps giving me a "high server load" error. Anyone else running into problems here?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm surprised that they haven't run out of either of the GWPs yet!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love 76781 Wednesday & Enid's Dorm Room, first minidoll set I ever bought.
(I will admit, I did leave the purple and green pieces off the roof)

There are two types of Reward codes. One is the cash rebate that you enter at the point of payment, and the other is a physical reward code that you enter in your shopping cart before initiating payment. The oddball Black Friday rebate codes are always set up as physical reward codes, meaning you have to enter them in your shopping cart before you start submitting your order, and also that it counts as your one physical reward code per order. This system causes problems every single year. The only fix is to call up customer service and complain, and they'll make sure you get an equivalent value. If you entered the super rebate code instead of a physical reward that you wanted to redeem, they can create a new order to get the physical item shipped. If you opted for that over the rebate, they can give you points equal in value to the cash rebate you missed out on.

Yeah, having a budget was an absolute necessity for me. I got back into LEGO in 2019 and I quickly discovered that one can spend nearly an infinite amount of money on this hobby. The budget especially keeps me in check when I am tempted to buy a second or third copy of a discounted set for parts and minifigures.

For the U.S., most of the applicable Exclusives evaporated the weekend before. Need to send myself a reminder for next year.

Lego marketing: let’s run a sale.
Execs: ok. Here’s what we’re running low on.

Depends how you look at it. How much would you normally have to spend to get them? And in this case those 800 points gave me the opportunity to get 40789 Moon Car which I otherwise had to spend quite a lot of money for to get it.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Just like last year, seems like the best deals were on Insiders weekend. Black Friday feels like just leftovers, something that happens simply because other retailers do it, but really with barely any interesting sets discounted. I have zero expectations for Cyber Monday.

I assume that because TLG are giving away 800 points that have a monetary value they set a hard limit on the monetary value they are prepared to give away. Just because it is a digital transaction doesn't mean it has no cost to TLG.

On the other hand.....it represents monetary value that can only be spend by once again spending more money at their own shop. So they make money of it it regardless.
