lol It's been 10 years since there was a good Turbo Tank. I wouldn't actually know that though, I got 2005 and 2011, there was no need for another, so maybe this one sucks. I doubt it, but the there's a non-zero percent chance that opinion out there exists.

This one was cool. I wish I could’ve gotten it.

In the comic adaptation of Episode III, Quinlan Vos is standing on top of a Juggernaut when Order 66 comes through, and another tank fires on him. If you buy two of this set, you can recreate that scene!

Really hope we get to see Luminara and Quinlan again

Another reminder of how terrible the 2025 one was.

There. I fixed it for you.

By in United Kingdom,

Not as good a tank as the one before it, but definitly better than the one after it.

Maaannnnn... I never hated on this. This was always such a cool set. Wish I got it back in the day

Oh hey, the version I have. Bit fragile in places, ironically for a tank, but overall pretty decent

By in France,

Don't tell me it's been 10 years already since that set....

This vehicle has so little screen time in the actual movie I only know it as a LEGO model. Never had one but take a good look at this or the 2010 again and see how strange it is that the 2025 one everyone clowns on for its size and price and flimsiness is additionally missing lights, guns under the "chin," a handle to carry it with and has easily the most ugly solution for the retractable lookout post up top they've come up with in 20 years

By in Australia,

This one sported a sweet minifig selection, that's for sure.

Hey, I have this set.
Never got round to building it and don't think I ever will.
Hence why I have put it up for sale on Bricklink a while ago.

Great periscope minifig feature, plenty of room inside and only set with Luminara Unduli and Quinlan Vos. Only quarm could do with more Technic suspension on all wheels, but so rare to find outside Technic, and can always add yourself.

By in Netherlands,

I remember that when this one came out it was surreal to see a new one after so long (6 years). Now this one's a RSotD.

I remember that it was surreal that when this one came out as a RSotD it was surreal to see it as a RSotD one after so long.
That's because that was minutes ago while I was writing this.

I will remember 10 years later that...

There used to be lots of them available for cheap if you didn't want the minifigs. I suspect this is still true.

Actually, Quinlan appeared in one other set and Luminara in two, though Quinlan’s only other appearance had the uncanny The Clone Wars design going on.

I've never had any particular interest in the Turbo Tank as a vehicle - as someone else said already, I barely remember it from the movie either and probably wouldn't have registered its existence at all if not for the multiple Lego sets it's got - but somehow every play-scale version of it to date has come with one specific minifigure who I'd love to get, even though I'd happily pass on the rest of the set.

In 7261: the first-ever Mace minifigure and the only one of him to use the 'early' Lego Star Wars design style that I'm so fond of (and the only light-up SW minifig who I never collected as a teen, at that);
In 8098: Aayla, this version of whom - call me weird, I know - I actually like better than later minifigures of her. She's one of the very few minifigures on whom I think the TCW eyes actually work;
And in today's 75151: as a classic!EU guy all the way, Quin of course. In his case, I'm still on the fence whether I prefer his earlier minifigure, whose use of the classic Hermione hairpiece I find pretty inspired, but this one definitely does a lot of other things better than sw0333 did, so...
(Luminara's cool too, but as someone who owned her 2005 light-up minifigure as a child, she's a bit less exciting than a character who I'd never had in the plastic!)

75413 is a biiit of an exception to this trend as things stand at present; but if I was still as big a Star Wars fan these days as I was back when the first Turbo Tank was released, I'm sure I'd feel much the same about its Clone Marine minifigs, so it still counts to a certain degree...

---

On a tangential note. I am only noticing today for the first time that Quin has a double-sided head in this set. His minifigure photo in the catalogue doesn't show it, so I was under the impression he had just the one face. It was only as I was taking a closer look at today's set picture that I realised it shows him with a different expression to the one on his minifigure entry.

I feel like the angry face displayed here is more authentic to the character as portrayed in the comics, honestly...!

Is $140-165 that for you?

By in United States,

Such a legendary set. I wanted it so bad when it came out, but I never could get it. I did get the Quinlan around the time th7s was leaving shelves. Pretty cheaply, too, and I don’t regret that. I have the Gree and Kashyyyk trooper too, so maybe I should consider buying the build…

That’s interesting. The minifigs aren’t a huge deal for me with this one. I’ll have to think about that.

By in United Kingdom,

It is quite funny to read these positive comments because this set was widely criticised when it was released, primarily for its small size and price.

If only we had known how much worse things could get with last year's Juggernaut.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Never cared for this one, personally. The figs are nice but the build is too small and the wheels are awful. The observation tower is also laughable, much like the 2025 version.

7261 will probably always reign supreme for me, unless we somehow end up getting another actually sizable playset or UCS version. Which I doubt.

But I'd want the minifigs, although if I found one that had all of them except for the two Jedi, I wouldn't walk away.
