Another upcoming Speed Champions set, 77264 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 & Land Rover Defender Classic, has been announced, comprising 740 pieces between the two cars.

These vehicles look great to me, but we do not have confirmed prices yet. Hopefully they will be added to LEGO.com later today and this article will be updated with additional images and information then.

I think 40650 looks better!

By in Norway,

Not bad, but if they were going for a truly classic Jag I’d’ve preferred the XJ220 or the Mark II.

By in United Kingdom,

I like the look of both of these, the Land Rover isn't a type of vehicle I would normally be drawn to with all of the 'off road accessories' added but it looks great; the Jaguar looks good in the blue which is an underused colour in Speed Champions. I normally end up steering clear of the 2 vehicle sets as there is usually one which doesn't appeal but will definitely get this, especially if I can pick up a good deal.

By in Netherlands,

Might have bought the Land Rover on its own. Not much interest in that Jag.

"12 yards long, 2 lanes wide, 65 tons of Indian(?) pride, Land Rover! Land Rooooover!"

That vehicle is Bigfoot-levels of enormous compared to minifigs.

By in Netherlands,

Is this the first speed champions set with 2 different brand vehicles in it ?

Yes! There is a link though as both brands are owned by the TATA Group.

Ah, those fine scumbags. Salt of the earth, carcinogenic graphite in the sky.

Another fine trade-partner, TLG.

By in Germany,

That's a first, having two different brands represented in one set. I know it's the same JLR company, but still. Now we have to create a new sub-theme just for this set.
The Classic Defender looks too bulky and the front looks inaccurate. The wheels are too thick as well.
The F-Type looks much better.

By in Netherlands,

Would've gotten the Jag if it was a single pack, but no matter, I've got no shortage of lovely speed champs in my collection already! And I'm sure there'll be other sets that catch my eye among the incoming reveals.

What really draws me in though, is the female driver's hairpiece. Have we seen that before? I love it!

Nice, great duo.

Other way round here, interested in the Jaguar, no interest in the Land Rover

One of the very few LEGO cars I actually bought. Mostly to reach the threshold for a GWP, to be completely honest, but still a very nice looking vehicle without stickers.

By in United Kingdom,

The Land Rover just looks like a generic off road vehicle, I can't recognise anything Land Rover about it. I Will probably get it if I find it with a good discount.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Why is this one set?

That’s what I’m wondering. I thought it was some movie tie-in at first. I have no interest in the truck.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Is that a new female hair piece?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Defender looks military wannabe and terrible. Jag looks decent but not sure it's worth it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I guess this is a more or less direct replacement for the two pack with the yellow Mercedes convertible and the black G-Wagon.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Might consider to get it when reasonably priced
I expect the official price to be around 75 euro, given the 740 pieces and current set price levels
That's not what I want to spend on it

Gravatar
By in United States,

The F-Type is the best looking sports car of the last 20 years. Nothing else even comes close. I’d prefer the coupe, but the convertible will do.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm surprised this set incudes the classic Defender (last made in 2016) and not the 2020 to current version, and with the Project 7 being an odd limited edition of the F-Type also from around 2016, it makes this set ratherr untimely imo...

Then again JLR have never really been timely with much in recent years...

They do look pretty good, and the Defender will easily mod into the version used in SPECTRE (I think that was the last 007 film to feature the classic Defender)

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Defender is HUGE. And it has some black windows I need.

And that Jag has a perfect windshield for use on ANY other car with its black print!

Not just owned by the same group, they are the same company: JLR (Jaguar Land Rover)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Will get this if on offer. Otherwise, although the Defender looks amazing, not worth my money.

Still waiting for a Subaru Impreza 22B, it would help fill that gap nicely.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

Looks super cool imho. Haven’t been hyped for a SC set for a while now. I love the rugged look of the defender, and the jaguar looks pretty good too. Set hits all the right notes on a speed champions set: brick built whenever possible. Will get a copy asap.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is this theme even about literal speed champions anymore or is it just "iconic cars for minifigures" now? Might be about time for a rebrand if it's continuing to broaden this way.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

The Defender is beautiful. Both builds look good but it's always the way with these two packs where one looks much better than the other.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

In Poland it costs more than Mercedes double pack. It also cost MORE than 2 x new SC price.
Shouldn't double pack be a bit cheaper instead? Lego logic!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Also I have mixed feelings about so different car types double packs. Just like with Mercedes one I do like big bulky black car but not second one. Comments above proves that there are also opposite folks which want only sport one. So we are "forced" to buy double even if we are not interested.
That's clever and greedy system.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Defender looks close to the Spectre versions produced for the Bond film of the same name. Thumbs up from me.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Just like the Mercedes G double pack, I think the smaller car looks bland. While the bigger car looks interesting.

Again, too bad it is black, attracting dust and finger prints. Just like the G.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oooo I was not expecting this. I am really looking forward to building these :)

I think you two need to get together and split the set.

Haha! Do they come with separate instruction booklets?

All the SC two-packs I have do.
