Free flower cart at shop.LEGO.com?

Posted by ,

Ensign_dave alerted me to this offer last night which he saw at shop.LEGO.com. However when I looked, there was no sign of it. So, he sent me a screenshot which indicated that he was viewing the site on an iPad. Suspecting that it might only be shown to mobile users, I checked on my phone and tablet and, sure enough, I could then see it.

However, the 'learn more' link leads to a page that redirects back to the home page and the item is not added to your cart if you add £50-worth of sets.

So I am concluding that the banner is being shown in error and that, perhaps, it's the offer for January which would make more sense than starting one a couple of weeks before Christmas when people are buying stuff anyway.

Neat little set, though...

Edit: Seems I'm behind the curve on this one: all is revealed in the January calendar which was published while I was away.

Cookies are everywhere! Even at the flower cart...

I hope you can conceal the barrel in the flower cart and smuggle it in Al's barbershop.

With the barrel of cookies, this 'inocent' flower seller is obviously part of the cookie smuggling ring being operated out of the new pool hall. I think barrells of cookies might be popping up all over my Lego city now :)

I really like this model as a whole, but I'm also very excited in particular for the 2 new bracelet colours - looks like magenta and lavender!

The Friends mini-golf set is great! But, where I can appreciate the brick-built hockey sticks in the free winter scene set, in the over-accessorize world of Heartlake City, that golf club looks clunky.

Laughable that they advertise the flower cart goes great with the detective agency. With the modulars said to be built at mini-figure scale, that huge and tall flower cart would stand silly beside the pathetic trees in the modular world. I really like the flower cart though, but it will not enter my modular street.

This is obviously an add-on to the Detective's Office :D

It is indeed an add-on to the detectives office, for it comes with cookies and is quite old-fashioned, also, it is shown and described on the January LEGO store calendar (stores.lego.com/en-US/)

Looks like I'm gonna be getting this with the slave one then. Cool because I need flower carts. Plus , new colored flowers? Win.and I see a printed cookie 1x1 round tile on the barrel.

It might be designed as an add-on the Detective's Office, but I think it'll go even better next to my Balloon Cart in front of my Parisian Restaurant. :)

I can think of a Jedi who is going to enjoy this set (and will buy someone flowers as gifts).
