New image of this year's Easter set
Posted by Huw,
LEGO is gearing up to sell this year's Easter seasonal set at shop.LEGO.com. It's another 8x8 vignette, featuring two minifigs painting hard boiled eggs and, by the looks of things, dropping raw ones on the floor.
We'll let you know when it goes on sale.

Oh my god I love it!! It even has a chicken!!!
I love the broken egg on the floor. That's awesome!
I think that we have too little seasonal sets for first half a year. LEGO should give us some summer sets - for example Children's Day, Mother's Day etc.
It will appear that we could form a building with a couple of these vignettes using a couple of extra pieces :)
I'm intrigued by that broken egg, is that a new piece like a round tile with one stud in the center ? kind of the opposite of the new round tile with a central hole...
^ Yes, it's a round 2x2 jumper with a hollow stud. It was first seen in the Detective's Office. It's in a few other sets:

Oh, I just realized that an egg has been broken. :)
I only want this set for the Chicken.:P
I love the use of that round jumper! I wonder what the next set is. The second we see the instructions, we'll know.
Love it.
Thumbs up for the spaceman torso!
Why is there a chicken in this set? I thought it was a bunny that laid the Easter eggs?
Bunnies don't lay eggs, they deliver them! In this situation, the mother and son are decorating real eggs, and they just so happen to have a chicken to deliver them. The bunny's Easter eggs will be delivered on the holiday.
I never thought I'd see the day where someone has to explain that rabbits don't lay eggs. Lol
People have their own chickens and this family is one of them. So they are painting egs but I guess one wasn't hard oiled first. Lol
These 8x8 vignettes are seriously fantastic! Might have to try my hand at some of my own.
He looks upset. Maybe Becuase of the dropped egg , but I like to think it's cause they're using fresh chicken eggs that may actually be fertile and carry chicken embryos..
All I see is parts parts and PARTS! That one part the broken eggs eggwhites are made of is amazing , I hope it's in more colors eventually.
A Must Have!!! I love it!!!
^^^ @8BrickMaria: Next you'll be claiming that Santa isn't real....
I absolutely love these vignettes. I ordered 5 online for the Valentine's Day set and will get at least one of these too (doesn't appear to have quite the awesome selection of parts that the Valentine's set had).
^ At earlier pictures of this set you can see, that at the other side of wall are dark red profiled 1x2 bricks.
Love this years seasonal sets! Hopefully there's lots more to come, can't get enough of these :)
Interesting use of teeth on the windows there...
I just hope I can get one before they sell out. Still mad I missed the Valentines Day set.
^ You can find 40120 at LEGO.com
This thread is funny... all the confusion about eggs! Bunnies don't lay eggs. Chickens do. Just because an egg is fresh it doesn't mean it's fertile and will result in a baby chicken. They need to be fertilized first by a rooster. If there is no rooster around chickens will still lay eggs daily, but they are unfertilized. Source: I have three chickens...(c;
Almost perfect. A colored egg would be nice. And not just one color but with a pattern.
I love these vignettes. Does anyone know if they're going to continue throughout the year, and if so, what other holidays are expected to have them? A Halloween vignette would be awesome, and a LEGO Thanksgiving feast would be delightful, as well.
^^^^^ Valentine's set SOLD OUT at Shop @Home in USA... not sure about other countries
^ In Germany (and Poland, and probably rest of EU) is available.
^^ We will get probably two Christmas vignettes. However it would be nice to get some summer set.
Some fabulous parts in that little vignette. The chicken, the 2x2 round jumper, dat flame yellowish orange... and a better ppp ratio than most Creator sets.
NPU.
^ Nilamber Pitamber University? :)
On the subject of bunnies laying eggs- clearly, some people have never seen the Cadbury Easter bunny commercials ;)

On topic, I am loving these sets and will definitely be buying all of them!
I notice on the US' website it says coming soon on the 1st of March; can only guess UK will be similar.
Looks cute, like the pieces but I wish we could get a new female torso. A t-shirt or hoody (but not pink !) with the little waist dinks would be nice.
New image perhaps, but it's featured on the back of the instructions for the Valentines set. The same Valentines set I just now put together and have made myself very sad I didn't buy at least 5 copies.
I wish I bought more too, I was hoping for $8 after Valentines Day. Loe sand blue, wish LEGO would bring sand red back.
Anyways you can now preorder it in the USA...
