2016 is the Year of the Monkey

To celebrate the Chinese New Year on February the 8th, LEGO is producing this delightful monkey set.
Instructions for it, along with 39 other PDFs, have just been uploaded to the LEGO Customer Services system.
Those of us in the west will have to reach out to those in the far east to get hold of it though, just as we did this year for the Year of the Sheep set 40148.

Being born in the Monkey year, I am looking out for this... But never saw the sheep one in Shanghai...
There were 40148 Year of the Sheep promotions from Japan, Hong Kong & Taiwan. I think there might be another similar Year of the Monkey promotions next year.
Never saw the sheep one in Shanghai either, very disappointed. The promotion was also run in Indonesia, apparently.
I got a Year of the Sheep set as a giveaway from an e-Mart store here in South Korea a month or two ago. Hopefully they'll do the same with the monkey.
I think these would sell well as a Lego store exclusive item in the US. It's unfortunate. I would certainly buy one each year.
That's just adorable! Definitely an improvement over the sheep and the snake of previous years.
Year of the Sheep was available in Singapore as well, and it was free with mininum S$80 worth of purchase, managed to get 19 of them earlier this year.
Though now budget very tight, may not be able to get many of this Year of the Monkey :(
My son, my stepson, and I - all three of us - are the Year of the Monkey. I would absolutely love to have three of these. I don't know why they don't sell them elsewhere (I'm in the U.S.). They would be a big hit here. If anyone picks up a bunch of these and wants to help out a monkey AFOL please send me a message through my profile and I'd be glad to pay a reasonable price.
