Brickpicker Raffle Fundraiser

Posted by ,

Brickpicker is a popular LEGO investment website and a valued part of the online community which offers a service quite different to that of many other sites, thanks in part to the tireless efforts of Jeff and Ed. A raffle is currently being held over there to raise funds for Ed's son's school which is struggling to find the money required to remain open at the moment.

Raffle tickets are being sold at $10 each and will enter you into a draw to win a fantastic selection of LEGO prizes which include retired sets such as 10221 Super Star Destroyer as well as 75159 Death Star, 42056 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and 10255 Assembly Square, among many others. The contest is open to participants worldwide and you can read more about the raffle here.

The raffle achieved a total of $60,000 last year so hopefully with your help they can try and beat that total. Good luck if you choose to enter and good luck to the staff of Brickpicker! This is certainly a worthy cause.

Cool I entered. I've never won a non-skill based contest in my life, but there's always a first time.

Hey, speaking of contests: what ever happened to the 2016 edition of Ridley Lego Science competition?

Hi everyone, it is Jeff from Brickpicker. Yes, the raffle is open to anyone that can get deliveries. Last year Ed shipped all over. From Vancouver, CA to Isle of Man, UK. Most of these items are from our own collections so you will be sure to get a pristine set that is packaged well. The raffle last year was a huge success and we are hoping to improve upon that. Feel free to ask any questions or contact me at jeff @brickpicker.com if you don't want to post here. Thank you all that do participate!

Hello LEGO fans....This is Ed Mack from Brickpicker. I would like to thank Huw and Brickset for letting us promote this raffle for a wonderful cause. I would like to thank CapnRex101 for the nice article. My son's school is really worth the effort and I appreciate all the help. The LEGO communities really did a wonderful job last year contributing to the 2016 LEGO raffle and we raised over $62,000 for the school, which enabled it to stay open. I will ship anywhere in the world and I will work with winners to get them the exact set(s) they want. I have them all, so we can negotiate!!! LOL. Feel free to ask me any questions. The Rallyup.com site is a secure and legitimate fundraising site and it worked great last year. You never know when some sets will be added to the raffle, so keep checking back. Thanks again for your help...

So raising money for a private faith-based school?
I hope your fundraising goes well, but count me out.

@ chrissy-glen, Spideg...While I respect your opinion, I would like to clarify why I am doing this. Yes, St. Paul is a Catholic school, but it also a great SCHOOL. People of all races and religions are welcome to attend the school and do so. I am not here to promote the religious aspect of it or get into a debate on the topic on a LEGO forum. I am far from religious, but appreciate the quality education my son receives. If quality education is important to a person, then please consider buying a ticket or two to help a quality school remain open. You never know, you could win an awesome LEGO at the same time. Thank you...

Sorry for being unable to read. Thanks!
But faith-based is not for me, either.

Eddie, I will be getting a few simply to help you in your quest. My son also goes to a faith based school that gives an excellent education. Many of those who go there are not religious but do recognize a safe environment and outstanding curriculum when they see it. I'm not sure why people feel the need to let you know they don't want to help, I guess it makes them feel as if they have accomplished something worthwhile. Good luck and Cheers.
