Random set of the day: Treehouse
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 31010 Treehouse, released during 2013. It's one of 22 Creator sets produced that year. It contains 356 pieces and 1 minifig, and its retail price was US$29.99/£24.99.
It's owned by 10,770 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $35.20, or eBay.

Not quite as good as yesterday's Creater set, but still alright.
In my opinion the best Creator treehouse. I got this for Christmas 2013 along with the 31012 Family House. They go together very well

This one has a minifig, though.
I see "house"...don't really see "tree"...:D
Creator's definitely done better tree-houses. This one really suffers because there's just no foliage, aside from a couple of random green plates. As said, the house is there, but there's no much of a tree, to speak of.
31078 will always be in my heart as my favourite Creator treehouse. I feel like that one handled the brief of a treehouse much better.
One of a trilogy of sorts that shows the rapid change of lego Creator at the time. It was followed by 31053 Treehouse Adventures in 2016 and 31078 Treehouse Treasures in 2018.
I like the completeness of this one, especially the terrain. Except that the treehouse misses one wall.
I like the 2016 the best. It hinges into one building with the railing turning into a ladder. It also has the most foliage.
This set and the other creator sets released in the same year such as the 31004 Fierce Flyer and 31012 Family House suffered from brittle brown and maroon pieces. It is a nice treehouse if not for the fact it has the brittle pieces problem.
Got this for my son back then.
A truly fun set for any kid for play. Lots of fun and he added onto it more terrain, small building too.
Like expanding out his dream backyard adventure.
Miss those days.
…I think Huwbot is thinking of getting his own house. Townhouse, treehouse…houseboat tomorrow?
The set I bought to get out of the dark ages
Really bad compared to yesterday's house. Cheaper but considerably nastier!
Pizza on the ground... What a waste.
The alternative builds also make the set more interesting for young builders, and could use to extend the cottage 31009.
This is one of the rare Creator sets where I actually think both alternate builds are better than the primary one. It's not a bad treehouse at all, but I like the alternate builds a little bit more.
I thought this set was oretty cool as a kid, but its not Creator's finest house set. By a long shot. I really like the lakehouse cubby alt build though.

None of these really capture what I think of when I hear "treehouse" (the one from The Simpsons, basically), but I guess something like that would make for a very cramped playset.
This is one of those sets that demonstrates to me that I have terrible skill at picking sets that go on to have long-term value.
I got this house from my mom way back in 2013, and I remember having so much fun building the treehouse, then the cottage, then back again. It was my first non-4+ Lego set!
Still have it and I've passed it on to my kids

Wholesome. Wishing you and your family well.
For some reason I think I remember this set being discounted on Amazon for a long time and I kept it in mind as a "filler" set for a period when there was nothing else to buy, and I never bought it.
That's the story. Netflix documentary coming soon.

Definitely true for me, I loved playing with this one. Nice little set.
I love this kind of sets. It's "true" Lego to me. A bit square, simple yet effective, many ways to play with and enjoy it, many stories to create around it, and many other things to build from its parts. That is what Lego is all about.

The Huwbot has a freezing, pitch-black server-room where he sits and contemplates. Mostly Clikits.
Im not sure if I knew any of these treehouse sets existed. When I see that word, the only set that comes to mind is 21318.
oof, didn't even keep up with inflation
Old times, good times...
I had this one back in the day! It's certainly not the best set ever produced, but 8-year old me had a lot of fun with it.
This was one of my favorite sets as a kid, and definitely one I am nostalgic about now.
It's a fun little set. Maybe not exactly grand design, but quite a few nice play features. Good alternative builds as well.
In my opinion, one of the best Lego sets ever made! This set captures the idyllic feel of childhood summers and has a great selection of parts for a Creator set of its time.

I loved these little treehouse sets LEGO did
Wish they'd done more of 'em
Dang, I had that. What a throwback.
