It would look great next to my 40351 Brickheadz Ghost but making it a GWP prevents that for me. :(

Buy it on Ebay

Last year's 40697 was a better concept and execution imo. The shaping of the ghost here just isn't compelling, and the light brick isn't as appealing on an implementation here.

I like this one a lot! The light brick is a fun spooky concept, and the arms look really nice with the chains and articulation. Shame it seems to be a GWP rather than a standard-release set, though. I feel like the name might have misleading connotations. Without the pictures, I'd think the ghost was made of glow-in-the-dark pieces, not that it had an LED inside. Maybe "Illuminated Ghost" would be better.

Very cute! A nice follow-up to last year's Jack-o-lantern GWP, featuring a similar light brick function.

Honestly I think 40772 is suffering from the need to not just be 40697 again.

Rather misleading name for the set. 'Luminous' suggests that its glow-in-the-dark pieces rather then it being illuminated with a light brick. Shape wise... it looks like a knock off set rather then a quality lego product. Shaping it terrible. No wonder its a gift with purchase as I don't think many people would buy this off the shelf.

The box has the name as "Celebration Series: 3. Luminous Ghost", implying that this is the 3rd in a series. What were 1 and 2?

That's what I had to do with 40697
It would be good if when the GWP period ends it then goes on sale like any normal set that people would like to buy

Looks like a waste paper bin to me. You know, the ones where the lid opens by pressing a foot pedal.

Glad I'm zero interested in Halloween.

40758 and 40759. It's been a while since the last one!

2 seems to be 40759 Valentines Day Box and 1 seems to be 40758 Ferris Wheel. Dunno why they're named as a series as they're not related other then having been gifts with purchase.

Great! So they can put a light brick in a cheap GWP but not in the licensed Pixar lamp.... Not worth the 120 bucks threshold for this oddly shaped ghost. Last years pumpkin was much nicer and contained more bricks too. Just buy that one from the secondary market instead.

Because of marketing and FOMO. So collectors spend more money on 4 different purchases to have the whole series. Or didn't you notice that there is a series for the "nature dioramas" as well, or the "houses of the world" or the seasonals before that?

That’s what I do

This design looks horrible, especially the face. The raised area in the front due to the build technique is just odd. The whole thing just looks so bizarre.

By in Australia,

What a hideous looking set. Useful parts though.

I assume those aren't actually glow in the dark bricks? With a name like that they really should be!

Of course not. If you are looking for that, check out the dinosaur fossil sets from CaDA.

Goofy looking set.

Now that's spoopy!

I thought there might have been transparent bricks in the eyes and mouth but as I can see the antistuds of the surrounding bricks it looks like they’re just hollow. So I get the feeling the glow effect might be a bit underwhelming when it doesn’t have some CGI assistance

No, I didn't notice that there was any. But fair point on the marketing etc. Forgot that aspect of some collectors minds.
