LEGO NINJAGO 15th anniversary minifigures!
Posted by CapnRex101,
2026 will mark the 15th anniversary of NINJAGO and it should come as no surprise that there are big plans for the anniversary next year!
A few hints of the plans were given at Fan Media Days in Billund last month, including these seven shadowy minifigures. We were not told anything about the minifigures' identities, but we were invited to speculate and for our readers to do the same.
Needless to say, there are some obvious possibilities for seven NINJAGO minifigures grouped together, with one holding a staff and wearing a conical hat, but how the characters could be interpreted remains unknown. I choose to believe it will be Lobbo dressed as each of the six ninja and Wu! If not though, maybe NINJAGO will follow the example of Star Wars, offering some long-awaited characters from the series never before seen in sets.
What do you hope to see for the 15th anniversary of NINJAGO? Let us know in the comments.

I definitely hope that it won't be a repeat of the tenth anniversary, with the seven figures inserted in seven sets. I don't think my wallet could handle that a second time.

If they do go that route, there better be another employee gift containing all 7 at the end of the year! And with a bit of luck it’ll be as good as the temple of celebrations, one of my favourite sets in general :D
The middle one will be George Formby dressed up as Mr Wu.
No GArmadon?
I think the middle one is the First Spinjitzu Master
All I see is the frog in black.
If they're characters that we've never gotten in sets before, then I really hope that Dr Julien will be one of them!
Hmmm I wonder what minifigures from Ninjago could be?
I feel like there definitely has been a Star Wars bias when it comes to anniversary figures. Multiple new super-specific molds for characters unlikely to be reused, and the time before they brought back old hair/helmet molds and even Lando's much sought-after cape (though manufactured slightly differently).
HP and Ninjago just got lame gold figures (and not even relevant variants to the story, like the golden Ninja versions in season 3.) I wonder if the disappointing gold figures last time were from Ninjago and HP having to share an anniversary, but it seems unlikely that would influence the budget. More likely LEGO knows Star Wars fans are more tempted to buy sets just for minifigures.
I hope Ninjago's figures will be better next year, but I already have low expectations from the silhouettes as it looks like versions of Wu and the Ninja again. And I don’t even know if LEGO HP's anniversary will be celebrated or not, or if the HBO reboot will be considered the anniversary from LEGO's POV.
Are thosw figures chrome black or just very shiny?
Finally the uplys and fugidove

That's the first thing I said as soon as I looked at the picture! A black frog!

agreed!
It would be very nice to get a full Ninjago CMF line. Plenty of opportunity for extra characters.

Of course, that's exactly what's going to happen. Especially now you've told 'em this.

This. I am not even into Ninjago (but I read the comments of people who are) and a Ninjago CMF series seems like the way to go why only 7 if 5 or 6 will be taken by the usual characters.
On that vein, Lego should also do a (many) Lego IP CMF(s) (castle, space, pirates, Johnny Thunder(Adventurers), Aquanauts, Super Agent, Ninjago, Chima, Exo Force, Power Miners, Rock Raiders, Time Cruisers, Hidden Side, Vikings, Western, Pharao's Quest) - that should do for the first round.
Darreth?
@HOBBES
they keep throwing in tributes or whatever in the CMF since the start like:
8683-14 8683-16 8684-7 8803-3 8804-6

this time it will be 7 minifigs in 21 sets. in each set you will only get a head, torso or pair of legs

True. But wouldn't it be nice if they'd do them all at the same time? The Lego vending machine is a little bit like that but you have to buy the whole machine with it. Their IPs are loved enough and I'm sure it would be better than miniature racecars (that bar was very low - basically dug underground)
There are actually 8 anniversary minifigs but you can't see the special Mr. Pale ...
M. Bison, Super Mario, Dave Grohl, Yoshimitsu, Batroc the Leaper, Stiltman, Lady Stiltman.
What? It's the Ninjago-universe. Anything could happen.

They did this for the Ninjago Movie and they are all pretty great. 71019-21

That does seem likely, and it certainly would be fitting for an anniversary line.
As for the others, there are definitely plenty of possibilities. If they were to tie each one to a particular one of the OG six Ninja, there are definitely some interesting options:
*Cole-Lou (his dad) or Lilly (his mom).
*Jay-either of his biological parents, though his mom is probably the more appealing.
*Kai-we’ve already seen his parents, but new versions wouldn’t go amiss.
*Lloyd-tough call, as the First Spinjitzu Master could work for either him or Wu. Not sure who else you could do for him…maybe Serpentine War Garmadon?
*Nya-same situation as Kai, though perhaps Nyad is an alternative?
*Wu-same deal as Lloyd.
*Zane-Dr. Julien is the obvious choice, though I suppose the previous Master of Ice is also an option.
I would like to see Bonzle, Geo, Fritz and Spitz show up at some point but I would wager we wouldn't get more than one of them here at most.

Mr Wu's a window cleaner now?
Oh Arrakore is another recent character we've not seen.

Yes, exactly. I have not seen the TV series but from what I hear, there are many characters in there - some are available in the large Ninjago 'modulars'. A CMF of the series would be ideal. Maybe Lego thinks the appeal of Ninjago TV series is not large enough to do a CMF for it - for the movie it was different because: there was a movie!

Looks like chrome copper to me.
As for the figures, I haven't got a clue. Never seen the show, zero interest.
I've got many Ninjago sets, but only because I love the architecture style. Have been a fan of Japan for decades.
I'm not a big Ninjago fan, but I think Ham needs a new fig.
I wonder if these will be the old elemental masters from the Serpentine War rather than the six ninja and Wu.
Perhaps one is already in the works that I am unaware of, but personally, I'd like to see another Ninjago City set, not bothered too much with MFs.
Perhaps another corner unit, so you'd be able to combine into one complete oblong.

First thing I noticed too! Just finished my frog collection this month, would love to add a new one to the pond.

I’m gonna hang out over here with the other two people who understand priorities. Unless…it couldn’t possibly be the Seven Thunders from Legends of the Five Rings making a surprise appearance even though they’ve never had any compatible license…could it? Plus black frogs?
I offer a mocktail in honour of this charming theme, the ‘jinspitzu’. Drink!

In other words, what they’ve done with new Classic Space colors….

Last I heard he was an air raid warden.
6 minifigures that aren't Wu, 6 ninjas. boy oh boy what a tough riddle. I'm stumped.
The middle one is the first spinjitzu master and the other six are the original elemental masters.
For a moment I thought these would be chrome black...
I’m unclear how much we are supposed to take from these. Aren’t they just stand-ins teasing an idea? Or are they the actual figures without printing? Seems like people are reading into these a bit too much.
I sure hope the one with the hat is the First Spinjitzu Master, locked behind a $1000 UCS Sons of Garmadon Motorcycle (come on, whats a Ninjago set that is universally hated?). OK, but the first part of that sentence is true...
@exoboy555 Hm…if you take away Wu, Garmadon, Ray, and Maya, it leaves the masters of Earth, Gravity, Ice, Light, Lightning, Shadow, and Sound. That’s barring any that might be introduced in the upcoming graphic novel.

I don’t think they’ve touched upon any such characters except for Nyad, except as a vague reference.
I'm a bit of an outlier in that I'd be more interested if this was the main ninja and Wu or something like that, rather than fairly obscure characters from the show, as the only Ninjago media I've consumed was the movie.
