LEGO The Legend of Zelda returning in 2026

Posted by ,

LEGO The Legend of Zelda was introduced last year with 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 and I was quite surprised not to see another set this year.

However, a short teaser video posted on social media confirms that a new The Legend of Zelda set will be launched in 2026. The video features a familiar Link minifigure from the Great Deku Tree, but the Princess Zelda minifigure visible in the background appears to be new.

You can watch the video after the break...

What are you hoping for from The Legend of Zelda? Let us know in the comments.

Sweet! Its about time. Hoping for a Gannondorf big Fig.

By in United States,

I bet this is the Beast Ganon fight from Ocarina of Time. That would be an excellent set!

Okay hear me out: a set that doesn't require me to refinance my home

Ganon fight surely? Probably not Hyrule Castle, though I'm sure that is coming if this continues to be successful.

By in Netherlands,

Ganondorf. Maybe with a buildable Ganon. And also, a buildable Great Fairy who captures Link in a bottle.

What? Hyrule Warriors is a lot fun.

PLOT TWIST: Water Temple set, only the instruction books have out-of-order pages and illegal connections.

By in Brazil,

For another D2C set...

How I wish the theme got some regular playscale sets, but it is obvious this license, very much like the LotR license nowadays, is solely to take lots of money from adult fans who can regularly buy the D2C sets. Small set? Only if it is paywalled as a GWP for the D2C set. I mean, if at least Lego wasn't like TEN TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE in Brazil compared to the rest of the world or if I still had my old job, I could even try buying a few of them sometimes, but no chance.

I wish they'd do a Zelda CMF series, even though I know the license likely prohibits it.

What I’m wanting is something that isn’t stupidly expensive and/or offers a bit more interactivity. I was considering the Deku tree set, but when stacked up against the D&D set (which came in at a similar price point thanks to a sale) it was a bit poor in comparison.

Yay! Hopefully less expensive than last time!

The ultimate troll.

An affordable set, please. Just because I’m an AFOL doesn’t mean I can afford all of your multi-hundred dollar sets, TLG! (…. But thanks for the nostalgia-wrapped FOMO!) ;)

By in United States,

For those who don't know, this is a recreation of the cutscene right before the final boss in Ocarina of Time. You can see the destroyed bits of Ganon's Castle lying around, and Zelda separated from Link by a ring of fire. This is gonna be suh-weet.

EDIT: The electrical noise is also from that cutscene, when Ganondorf transforms into beast Ganon. Only just played the clip with the sound on lol

Yeah, a nice $60 set would be perfect.

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

Obviously another 300, maybe 400$ set :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

From what I recall, leaks pointed to this being closer to $100, which will be nice. Glad to see we'll get all three main characters in one set - hopefully a Ganondorf minifigure too.

Gonna have to wait for the movie for TLoZ to get multiple reasonably-priced sets I expect.

This won't be it, but I literally just want a King of Red Lions set from Wind Waker. That's all I ask. It's such an obvious thing to do for a smaller set.

77092 Great Deku Tree is one of those "damn I want that, but need to get all these other sets that are higher priority". 71411 Mighty Bowser has been one of those sets I need to decide on quick as it is going away soon.

I really hope this one is cheaper so I can have more Nintendo things around my 71374 NES (and my real NES).

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Zelda design in the background is clearly her OoT design specifically, so the new set might be themed to OoT only. As to what it could be, I'm not sure. The Ganon fight is the most logical option.

Get the Bowser set. You will be pleasantly surprised. Very underrated build.

Honestly, I'd take a Phantom Ganon at this point. Maybe with a swappable head.

By in United States,

I hope this one doesn't exceed $100.00. I doubt it'll ever happen, but Twilight Princess sets would be peak.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've never played, but would like the figures. Hopefully a more affordable set is on the horizon, but let's be honest here...

Gravatar
By in United States,

As much as this franchise interests me l, I have only gotten around to playing 3 of the games (Skyward Sword and BotW). I am interested to see how this is going to look, based off the leaks they said it was going to be diorama-esc and near $200.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A Tingle buildable figure! Like the Chewbacca one. Chuck in a sound brick and let's call it £180.

Mighty Bowser is one of the best sets lego ever made.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Alright, the leaks say this set will be 1,003 pieces, so it shouldn't cost too much.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love this! And while we're at it, can we PLEASE finally have a normal LEGO Mario minifigure? After Sonic, Animal Crossing, and Zelda, can they really not make a normal LEGO Mario theme?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hopefully it will be a diorama with Ganondorf.

Rumours state it'll be like half the size of the Deku, hopefully around $100

Hyrule Warriors is a lot of fun. I doubt we'd ever get anything based on it though, but even a keep or a microscale map from the game would be amazing.

A dreamling body would work for Midna, and then either a Wolfpack wolf for Link or a Warg. It'd be great! They could battle a brick built shadow beast.

This would be amazing! There's all kinds of tiny scenes for tiny sets.

I hear you. Our family lived in Brazil for a year when our son was 7. All he could do was look. We own practically nothing from that year.

By in Puerto Rico,

Magnificent news.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Rumor is that this set will have around 1000 pieces, so hopefully in the $100-150 range. Based on the look of Zelda, the presence of Navi, and the shadow, it's safe to assume this is based on the final battle of Ocarina of Time.

Minifigs for Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf with a buildable Ganon? I'm in. The Deku Tree didn't fit into the budget or the shelf space, but an OoT final boss fight for a reasonable price? I can make that work.

What if this set ends up being a Book-nook a la Balrog? Would be super easy to copy the basic Balrog design and include Link and Zelda. Also would match the rumors price point wise

Was Legend of Zelda actually based on a book though? I thought the book nooks were all for IPs that are actually based on books!

- Zelda was based on Miyamoto's own childhood, where he'd wander around the back-woods armed with a stick, fighting off imaginary monsters and rescuing (presumably also) imaginary princesses.

- We've been playing a grown man's childhood fantasies for decades now, and we were dangerously close to playing those games set to the score of Ravel's Bolero.

- Zelda, incidentally, was named after Zelda Fitzgerald; and Robin Williams' daughter was named after Princess Zelda.

Which of those statements is true? Haha, trick-question.

They're ALL true.

TP set would be pretty cool, i think a micro scale map of BotW or TotK would be even cooler.

Thank you, no. While it would be a delight to get more pieces in trans-pink, Calamity Ganon is a mess.
