Random set of the day: Jungle Falls Rescue

Today's random set is 41033 Jungle Falls Rescue, released during 2014. It's one of 46 Friends sets produced that year. It contains 183 pieces and 1 minifig, and its retail price was US$19.99/£17.99.
It's owned by 3,702 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $31.50, or eBay.

Any cafe close enough for tigers nearby is a hard no from me. Also that establishment is on the edge of a cliff, so double no. Not safe on multiple fronts.
Why...when they already have a throwable ring life preserver, why make a printed tile instead? And why make it a tile with a solid center, when the donut tile exists?
Huh, I actually recognize this set, despite never even being interested in owning it. Probably due to the vine piece, since 2014 was the first year I manually tracked all the new non-minifig elements.
But, oh no... I just realized all the 2016 sets just became eligible for RSotD.... Has it really been 10 years since LEGO peaked? I guess this is the year I get to start feeling old....

The donut tile debuted in 2014 (well, technically, in the 2013 Hobbit sets, but those released in December so they were basically 2014 sets) and only in Dark Stone Grey. Recolors and prints didn't start appearing until 2015. So the Friends design team may not have had that part available to them for this set. As to why they didn't use the existing life preserver piece, who knows.
Using https://brickset.com/parts/6033019/wall-element-2x4x6-iceberg to represent a waterfall is certainly... a choice.
So it's a rescue at a jungle fall, or rescue from a fall in a jungle.
Always loved the waterfall play feature on this one.

All that’s left of the one person who tried is… well just a single bone. They’ve nearly all been devoured by the tiger. It’s a wonder this establishment is still running.

The sign on the roof says medical aid centre. The furniture out from says casual eating establishment.
I think there may have been some confusion amongst the place’s design team…
I bought this for the vine element which was new at that time.
