Hmm, the Beastmaster is great but I feel like I'm influenced by the accessories he comes with and the Minifigures on its own isn't quite as cool. Gonne have to go with pirate quartermaster with the Christmas tree costume as a close second. Great original designs with lots of charm.

By in United States,

I just can't bring myself to vote for Gingerbread Vader, even though he's really awesome. Wolfpack Beastmaster was my nomination. Zero's great. And I might try to pick up a copy of the 2025 City Advent Calendar just for the tree. I hope the hair from Spider-Punk gets reused plenty now that they have it. We're spoiled for choices.

Please don't vote for a recoloured spaceman

By in United States,

Wow, Poison Ivy didn’t make the list? I think that’s the only one of my nominations that didn’t. Pirate Quartermaster was my runner up, so I’m happy she is here. Otherwise I think there are just too many Star Wars characters with slight improvements, Spider-Man variants, and slightly modified “classic” minifigures here. A Blacktron astronaut with a few logos plastered on his chest and helmet might be a neat variant for fans, but is it really that noteworthy?

Of course not. Blacktron’s at the top of the list.

I saw "Zero" and my Mega Man brain went through the five stages of loss in about two seconds lol. Cool Minifig tho

Gravatar
By in United States,

Never even knew about the updated Blacktron fig. Still giving it to the "recoloured spaceman", though.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

The Blacktron astronaut was an easy choice for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was gonna vote Blacktron, but steampunk doesn't gets much love these days, and I really like how well the inventor goes with my H.G. Wells Time Machine MOC... so he gets my vote!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Given how these normally go I’m expecting the teal spaceman to storm to the front. Though it’s got some competition from the Blacktron dude, that might split things up a bit like when the brown spaceman and brown spacebaby duelled each other

By in United States,

Despite having finished building 21358 this morning, my vote goes to Gwen Stacy. If this were a ranked choice poll, the teal spaceman would still be behind the Steampunk Inventor and the Pirate Quartermaster. He'd be ahead of every other Space/Star wars figure, though.

@Murdoch17 in United States, 01 Jan 2026 12:41

"...steampunk doesn't gets much love these days..."

I would kill (or at least maim) for a steampunk Lego theme. Ninjago's Skybound got close, but dieselpunk isn't quite what I want.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

The choice this year seems quite poor.
Among the selection, I prefer wolfpack or pirate quartermaster. Or the steampunk inventor. I voted for the first one.
Clearly I like classic spaceman or blacktron minifig too, but they are nothing really new, so I can't vote them.

The Wolfpack beastmaster is another trauma... and even one I can't blame on TLG...

The issue, according to several LEGO set designers, is kids don't know what steampunk is these days which is why steampunk gets little love. It's rather sad!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

It honestly was a toss up between Pirate Quartermaster, Spider-Punk, and Christmas Tree Guy.

The Wolfpack Beastmaster is another one I like, but I feel it's too much of a nostalgia rehash to compete to the other excellent choices. Same goes for the recoloured Space Man and Blacktron guy. And I say this as someone who loves Castle and Classic Space.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Quite a few great figures. I’m still hunting for a City AC to get the Christmas tree kid. There’s just so much to like bout Gingerbread Vader, and he’s a niche figure that is just really cool. General Kenobi was my runner up and he’s just such a perfect figure. I also really like the fresh take on the Blacktron figure. I hope to get that one soon. But, The Wolfpack Beastmaster, even without accessories, is just a perfect figure. Dual-molded arms, dual-molded arms, cloth (and sooo fuzzy!), and a superb head print?! That’s perfect, plus the fact that it’s a flawless rendition of a classic, 30 year old figure? And for $5? It’s just awesome!

They don't need to refer to it as steampunk. Just make cool sets and people will buy them, and those that know will know. The same rationale goes for sets from Gerry Anderson programmes. Those ships had excellent designs, so it's cool ships for the young and nostalgia for the middle aged.

The Pirate Quartermaster is sooo awesome. I added her to the BSB and am looking at her right now in admiration. I nominated the Wolfpack Beastmaster but voted for the Pirate.

Oef! Wolfpack, jetpack, spiderpunk, Zerø and Blacktron!
All my nominations are here! This is gonna be a tough one…..
Nostalgia says Blacktron, coolfactor says jetpack and Zerø and the toughest quest to obtain a figure says wolfpack…
…BUT for a combination of cool and most detailed figure ( even an extra head where I can’t decide which one to put on the body, because both of them are awesome ) , I gotta go with Hobie
( also a big nod for Jango, but plain compared to the others and behind a huge pay wall for me )

Star Wars had it good this year. Between Obi-Wan, Jango, Lama Su, Gingerbread Vader; a lot of other good ones that didn't make the cut, too (Plo Koon, Babu Frik, etc.). I'm voting for Jango Fett.

While theres been plenty of these that I've really liked, how can you not like Spider-Punk / Holbie? Arm and Leg printing, duel molding, unique parts including accessories and hair... And he doesn't drop into the typical space/castle blind voting fandom pattern.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I found myself really liking jet pack racer this year, so he gets my vote.
He somehow reminds me of Running Man (the 1987 anime) https://archive.org/details/neo-tokyo-dub_202302 (starting at 11:43). I can't get it out of my head when I look at that cool fig. that's ok, I just need to make him a similar racer...

Sorely tempted by the wavy-mouthed ghost but in the end I voted for the teal Classic Spaceman. Oddly, I don’t have either of them (yet).

I do have the Wolfpack beastmaster and it’s not a bad minifigure, but it doesn’t appeal to me that much.

Gravatar

I think Jack Sparrow would be a good winner, on picture he seems everything a fig would need to be.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

My heart goes to the Classic Spaceman of course, with the updated Blacktron guy being a close second.

But this is about the best fig, and from those 16 finalists, to me the technically best fig (in terms of decoration, print quality etc.) is the new Jango Fett, so he gets my vote this time.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Voted for my man Jango, even though I'm actually pretty disappointed with the fact that his arms & legs are still incorrectly sand blue rather than purple. Also he really needs a flight headset print/mould. If they had done that & used the new lavender color, the fig would've been PERFECT. I'm still holding out hope that it'll be fixed in the future.

Do Jango, Obi-Wan, and Vader count as spacemen by your lights?

Don't let the reaction to a figure sour you on the figure itself. While it's not my favorite figure in the poll (that would be Spider-Gwen) or in that particular series (that would be Astronomer Kid or Steampunk Inventor), it's still a good figure.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have (somewhat grouchily) decided it would be petty of me not to vote for Zero just because I think it ought to be One instead, especially given Zero was also on my shortlist, and *especially* given five out of eight of the minifigs on my shortlist were all Dreamzzz and Zero’s the sole representative of a really solid Dreamzzz minifig lineup last year. But on a different day I might easily have voted for the Blacktron, Christmas Tree Kid, Jetpack Racer (Vidyo stealth return!), Lama Su or Spider-Gwen. Or, really, almost any of them: It’s a good shortlist.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Spider-Punk barely edges out Gwen Stacy for me. I love Pirate Quartermaster too--and Gingerbread Darth Vader is so fun! In all, it was a great year for minifigures!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Hi all,

Since 4 years I'm creating a micro musuem: a visual evolution of the minifig. So I'm really interested in new aspects in the design of a minifig.

I voted the steampunk inventor, because the details are really well done.

There were some really fun and original 2025 minifigs. I think it is worth to mention them. Of course they are also part of the museum:

- Roronoa Zoro with a 3rd blade

- Mecha Team leader: a super big figure cropped into a micro version of itself

- Peter Parker with May is just really really (really) cute

- Peely: there was already a guy in a banana costume, but Peely is actually a real banana

- One: Dreamzzz theme has some really original nice unique colorfull designed minifigs. I had a hard time to chose which one is nicer: Zero or One?. But I've chose One because of the nummer 81 on the chest (81 is a beautiful year ;) )

- Marge Dursley Inflated: as the name suggests, it's an inflated minifig

- Golden classic spaceman: I collect classic spacemen and space baby's in all colours. However, the minifig design is not special, but the colour gold makes the spaceman a premium collectors item

-Gerrett: Lego actually transformed 'Aquaman' into a pink minifig :D

- B'ball head or Beef Boss? Uhm they are both really funny

- Zeff: does Zeffs beard give him special powers? I dont't know, but Zeffs beard makes a kings beard look childish

- the Joker (sh1022): this is the first Joker version where I think his face looks really scary. This minifig should be 18+

- Morticia Adams: besides that this is a doll and in my opinion not a minifig, this Doll really looks like Morticia from the Wednesday series.

£7–8 on BL or eBay (plus postage). Could be worse. The UK BL prices for Bugs Bunny are terrible (£13 used or £19 new). It’s cheaper from other countries, new on eBay or just buying the figure without the stand and carrot.

By in United Kingdom,

I’ve been eyeing the jetpack racer and steampunk inventor because I just bought the wonderful looking Blacktron … Captain/Commander ? and that helmet print is poor - yellow on black often doesn’t work unless the correct quality of medium is applied.

‘Best minifigure’ has to be represented by the actual product I buy.

If you check my comment (scroll a bit up) then you see my list with a lot of ''new type' 2025 minifigs. I'm curious which minifig you woud pick from that list as best 2025 minifig.
