LEGO Speed Champions Audi Revolut F1 car revealed!

The popular series of Speed Champions Formula 1 cars adds another to its ranks with 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 Race Car.
The new Audi F1 car created for the 2026 season was unveiled yesterday and the LEGO iteration will be available on March 1st, with 216 pieces and costing £22.99, $27.99 or €27.99.

It is interesting to see how the LEGO design has been updated to reflect the regulations for the 2026 season, with a completely new front wing and more compact front suspension, which has meant swapping the unique piece introduced in 2025 for bucket handles, more similar to 76919 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Car.

I know it’s “speed champions,” but I wouldn’t mind more minifig scale normal vehicles with speed champions level detailing. Not talking about the simplistic City vehicles.

Not only does this have significantly fewer pieces that all the F1 sets at this scale from last year, but the price has also been bumped up (from $26.99 to $27.99)
They all look the same to me...

Curious how these are selling elsewhere because in my region of the US we don't care about F1 and these are shelfwarming bad...yet lego keeps on making them. There must be a market somewhere but its not here lol.
Such a very drab livery and like everyone said, we don't need more F1
I've been waiting to see what this one would look like and I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed. I was hoping they would use pearl silver for the front of the car to make the set more interesting and true to the source material.
As is this one is a definite maybe for me.
That's pretty quick for the new car.
They seem to sell reasonably well here, and good for fans that they have updated to account for the new team.

How many have you already bought though? For LEGO F1 fans, this is a good addition to the range. And remember, nobody is forced to buy these sets and they are not stopping something else being produced.
A bit disappointed by the colors which don't match the original scheme quite well. I find it a bit bland.

Really nice to see a smaller speed champions F1 car design - I always felt the old cars were too big and the wheels too small - this new version seems much better.
Although I feel it was a big miss not doing at least a flat silver, ideally the metallic silver for the front end...
The F1 helmet piece is pretty cool. I haven't noticed that before.

I think the only non-film/TV/comic book car I'd consider buying would be a VW Golf, if it was recognisable enough.

Back to the same construction as the 2024 McLaren, with regard to the wishbones, which looks no where near as good as the specialised over tyre winglets. Given that they haven't developed a new piece, Id be surprised that they'll be any others this year. Maybe, just Cadillac?
It's a shame Lego didn't make a new unique piece like 6813 but without the aero. Not only would it look better on this years car, it could have been used to make older versions of F1 cars. Speaking of which, I would love to see the same cars we are getting for icons but as minifigure scale speed champion sets.
The price for how much you get is insulting.
Looks rather bland and boring. But not that surprising, it's an Audi after all. They laugh at 50 Shades of Grey....
Also kinda disappointing the minnifig looks nothing like the actual suits of the team as presented yesterday, though I guess they just never got that design in time.
I do wonder if we'll eventually get the full 2026 grid. Not that I'd get any, last year only got the Red Bull, but absolutely hated building it. I don't like stickers, but usually I can get over it. In this case though, not so much.
That blue axle technic pin is an absolute eyesore that I wouldn't expect to come from a speed champions set...seems rushed.

I think the point is to showcase all the teams, so that whatever team or teams you support you can get a model of their car. The reason we're getting this new one is because the Sauber team has now become Audi, marking the end of an era, plus there's a whole new set of regulations as reflected by this model.
I've also been pleasantly surprised by how different the builds can be, for example the 2025 McClaren and Sauber I built recently using entirely different building techniques in places to create the unique shapes and capabilities of the different teams.
They're not for everyone, but as a long time F1 fan this is a dream come true.

I was looking through the member owned numbers for 2025 recently and a chunk of the F1 cars were near the top, so I assume that regardless of my personal disinterest and of course with the caveat that Brickset members who list their collections aren’t necessarily representative, they’re actually selling decently.
I am an F1 fan, and I am not even getting every team. Besides, this one is smaller, fewer pieces by 60, and the same price. I am ready for a greater variety of cars. Exotic cars are great, but let's do more classics, more JDM, trucks, rally cars, rock crawlers. Speed happens off road too.

The lack of branding makes this look that much fresher, especially in LEGO form.
Are the F1 Speed champions actually popular? They seem to be the ones sat on the shelves in my area, while its all the other vehicles that sell. Even on the ownership stats for Brickset, we can see its the none F1 set ownership thats in the majority.

It wasn’t, though. The car revealed yesterday was an unrepresentative mockup being used to show the 2026 livery.

Just to point out that this is the first time the 2026 F1 car has been rendered in LEGO form. 2026 is a big regulation change with a lot of difference in how the car looks (at least to those who know such things), so this is not the same 'range' as 2025's cars (which depicted the 2024 cars).
I'm not a big fan of this particular model, it looks a little rough and ready, but I suspect it's like the McLaren released in 2024 and that either in late 2026 or early 2027 we'll see a new, improved range of the 11 teams on the grid.

I’m fed up with F1 cars at this point. Sure, the first few were kind of cool, but it feels like they’re taking up spots that could be filled by other cars. The DeLorean this year has showed that Speed Champions has still got it with regular and movie cars, and now they’re going back to the identical, dull F1 cars. Either make them their own theme or tone it down a little bit please!

It's overpriced, but I like it. It's certainly different enough from last year's builds in the front wing, rear wing, and side pods to justify a new purchase.

Tone it down, they have. 5 “regular” speed champions cars released this wave, and just 3 Formula cars for this year so far. Last year it was 10 all at once. They’re not filling up any space at all, 5 standalone cars is already more than a regular wave would usually consist of (3 + 1 or 2 double packs)
One buck at a time, each time a little more expensive, less pieces, same ol' stuff: irritating.

Last year produced every team. This year has a new team (well, a rebranded team--but a new one is coming, so expect Cadillac to show up as well), so we get a new set. It's pretty clear there are two types of Lego set: sets people want, and sets Lego produced probably because money changed hands. I'm pretty sure that explains the football stadiums, and it's the -only- thing that can explain the shoes...
When the whole batch of 10 cars came out last year, I was disappointed. "Why? Why 10 cars that all look the same? Man, speed champions is going to be boring this year..." Then I got one at 20% off. They're well-designed. A lot of stickers, but not really much more than any other SC. And on closer inspection, you realize they all have subtle differences corresponding the the actual cars. I got a couple more. Then I got into the sport, found I enjoyed it, and... got the other seven (don't worry, all at 20% off or better). So that huge marketing push F1 has been making, with these Lego sets being part of it, totally worked on me.
So tl;dr: It's me. I'm the reason. And I bet there are a lot more like me.
Are the F1 cars popular? I haven't bought one, even at 30% off. They all look alie.
Yet I have all the Speed Champs from prior years.

That's a tick on my Lego bingo card. You've found a dodgy Chinese brand that produces a 'better' version. And, of course, it's cheaper as they won't be worried about minor issues like licensing costs.
That aside, like a lot of people on here I have no interest in current F1 but I also have no issue with Lego producing an extensive line of the cars. I do understand that is not how it supposed to work on here.
The livery's straight-up incorrect.
The BP logo is green and on the back of the engine cover.
The Castrol logo is monochrome and placed where the BP logo is on the set.
The Audi logo on the nosecone is horizontal, not vertical.
The order of the sponsors on the nosecone is incorrect.
The BP-Castrol thing is especially jarring, because the BP logo on the real car is the only thing that's not black, red, or grey, its green really sticks out.
But here, it's the Castrol logo.
Also, the real-life pic of the car on the back of the box does NOT represent the Audi R26. The nosecone is completely different.

Actually, CaDa isn't a dodgy brand at all, and its F1 sets are fully licensed.
I'm a massive F1 fan, so I'll definitely be getting this. I'm really glad Lego actually made a different design for the new regulations this year.

That's exactly what they doing. There is a limit to how many sets LEGO will produce, both overall and in a given theme. This additional F1 car has taken the release slot of, say, another film tie-in which many commentators here would seem to prefer.

The reason I have given this score is the pieces in this set do not go together. I have ask for someone to contact me about it but no reply.
And I'm sure Lego could cut their costs by only shipping directly from China.
Though to be fair they do appear to be better than Blue Brixx.

It's all the same to me...
F1 has never interested me, but the sets actually look neat. They grow on you. I picked up a random one on sale and it was a better build experience than expected. I still am not interested in the sport or buying multiple sets. The larger models look really neat and I could imagine buying those if I was invested in one of those teams, but alas I am not.
But I won't be picking up new ones I don't think. Budget is too tight as it is.

Truly. My dream would be a Speed Champions Camry, and specifically a pre-2012 Camry.
I must say, having skimmed through the comments, it baffles me how many seem to be annoyed with this products existence, and furthermore the whole F1 lineup. I think many don’t quite understand how huge this partnership is. Lego gets to reach millions of new and old Lego builders by their presence at the F1 weekends worldwide.
If you see them constantly on shelves it’s either one of the lesser popular teams, which is bound to happen, or it’s one of the popular teams getting restocked frequently. Because let’s not forget, these are sub 30 dollar/euro sets, very easy to restock and sell. Sure they may be overpriced, but I think Lego and F1 wants it that way, so discounts trick you into getting more and more of them.
But if you look outside of Lego “forums”, there is an obvious case for these to exist, something I’ve encountered myself: the F1 and car enthusiasts buy these as display pieces. Many don’t really care for Lego except these few sets. I’ve seen some have complete collections of the F1 cars and barely any other sets.
As for this one set, I’m not a fan either. I get why it exists, I’m just like many others not onboard with the design decisions. Especially that logo on the nose. Oh does that annoy me, just like the city set. I’m not ruling out buying this once discounts hit it though

More than that. Are you considering all themes? There are now 11 teams + 1 F1 Academy. In total there are now 12 from Speed Champions, 11 from the City F1 line, 3 from Technic, 2 from Icons, 12 Mini Collectables, 3 in the Duplo set, and 3 in the F1 Race Car M&T Promo.
So there are 46 F1 cars in the current LEGO lineup. Not including ones before 2024.
There are some rally cars in the Speed Champions line, such as the Audi S1 e-tron quattro.

The "wheel-brows" aka front wheel deflectors are gone in the 2026 season.
There's also the "F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car" [60493] in the 2026 City line.

This is totally unacceptable and I'm surprised Audi didn't object. For me it's the final straw of a long list of issues with this model. I'm a huge Audi fan and love F1 but I refuse to buy this set.

We've had Extreme E twice, I believe. I know we had it as a Technic set and I feel like it was in a Speed Champions double-pack? Formula E has also had at least three vehicles (two Technic, one SC). It'd be more likely we'd get an Extreme H car now as the series has changed to hydrogen power but given that the series has kind of fallen into obscurity I'd be surprised if it comes back, however a new FE set is certainly a possibility.
Also if they did the Williams-Renault Laguna in the green Nescafé logo? Oof, I'd be all over that like a bad smell.

Yet they are making more products in more volume than ever before. There are also different numbers of sets and sizes of sets produced every year. There is no evidence that if this set was not made that they would be making a different set to replace it. The capacity could be used to produced more of the existing Speed Champions. We simply do not know that this set existing has removed a different set from the product line.
Just looking at the regular non-F1 related SC sets per year, excluding the polybags:
2026: 5 (and still 11 months to go...)
2025: 5 (including 1 double pack)
2024: 8 (including 3 double packs)
2023: 5 (including 1 double pack)
2022: 7 (including 2 double packs)
2021: 6 (including 3 double packs)
2020: 5 (including 2 double packs)
So while last year was on the lower end of the spectrum, it's not unusually low. So indeed it doesn't seem like there are significantly less regular SC sets because of these F1 sets. And even if we got maybe one or two regular cars less because of all of those other sets, is that even a bad thing?

Yeah, I know, many of you are right, another F1 SC set doesn't hurt anyone, butttt... It is not something to get excited about for me personally. Two line ups sort of interest me to a higher extent: Star Wars and Speed Champions. The first has been really disappointing the last couple of years (for me personally to get excited about), the second is getting there. Not all bad (Delorean and the Bugatti), but the supercars are starting to feel similar as well and the F1 cars, well. Different teams, but soooo similar and not very good value. Once dissambled again they feel like just a handful of pieces. And we've had three already this year. When Lego comes out with a set that should be in my 'sphere of liking', I want to be excited about it. That is happening less and less. Could be me as well of course.

That's not what I said, nor do I think that way. I'm saying that this 46th F1 car (I was wrong on it being 15, see further up thread) is quite a few too many. This has to be loosing money for Lego as I've seen them on sale constantly, and I've seen many others say the same worldwide. Somebody is greasing the wheels here to get these sets made.... and another thing, LEGO used to say they couldn't do multiple SKU's of trains for various reasons including but not limited to they didn't sell enough in the early 2000s. (when the company was coincidentally almost going out of business) This series proves that mindset wrong: If F1 sets can loose gobs and gobs of money and still exist in the modern company, why not re-try trains and see what happens? Just a thought...

Nah, considering Lego pricing, pretty sure they still make good money if stuff sells at 50% discount. After all, 30% or more seems to be the norm nowadays, and they still make billions.
Seems more like a strategy of making a big buck with the first bunch at a pretty inflated RRP, then making big numbers at a more reasonable price point. And sure, I can't imagine a Sauber or Haas selling similar numbers than a Ferrari or Red Bull, but they still seem to sell pretty well.
That's not to say I agree with their train stuff (which would really benefit from having the support of an actual system instead), but that's an entirely different discussion.

Somebody is greasing the wheels here to get these sets made.... and another thing, LEGO used to say they couldn't do multiple SKU's of trains for various reasons including but not limited to they didn't sell enough in the early 2000s. (when the company was coincidentally almost going out of business) This series proves that mindset wrong: If F1 sets can loose gobs and gobs of money and still exist in the modern company, why not re-try trains and see what happens? Just a thought..."
Why do you think they are losing money on them? I have seen them sell at full RRP and they fly off the shelves of other retailers at 20% off.
I have never seen a press statement from LEGO saying they couldn't sell multiple trains at once. There is a lot of fan speculation about why they do not produce loads, but I don't think I have ever seen an official statement on it. And in fact, they are going to be selling multiple train sets again at once. Police Train Heist, Express Passenger Train, Arctic Polar Express. And then smaller sets like the Downtown Streetcar, Central Station, and multiple track packs. And then themed trains such as Holiday Express and the Doc Ock carriage.
