New Spider-Man polybag uncovered
Posted by Huw,
Hungarian LEGO shop Kocka.hu has listed many of this year's polybags for sale on its website including this hitherto unknown Marvel Ultimate Spider-Man one.
Although not shown in the photograph, it includes one of the new minifig 'super jumper' pieces that, apparently, are prone to getting stuck on their legs.
Thanks Gabor for the news.

Ooh. Nice cheap way to get ahold of metallic silver radar dishes and those 1x2 pin hole plates.
Would be nice if the jumper wasn't damaging to minifig legs... then again, this is Spidey 10, so it would probably be fine...
Not to mention that the bag actually has the "Super Jumper" graphic on it...
If you bend back the Jumpers before placing the minifigure, it'll slide in without damage. Same goes for removing the figures.
What is that trans-yellow green stud attached to?
^^ It's attached to the underside of a headlight brick with a Stick Ø 3.2 W. Holder in its side stud so it can connect to the 318 on the 2x2 octagonal plate.
Hey,
I just wanted to point out that the 'rumored' Ferrari F40 (10248) - due this July for VIP members and with beginning of August for non-VIP members - belongs to the category ADVANCED MODELS | VEHICLES instead of SPEED CHAMPIONS, where it's currently listed in your database. The Ferrari F40 will be a CREATOR Expert set, a follow up to the great VW T1 Camper Van (2011) as well as the Mini Cooper MKVII (2014).
Hopefully you can fix that in your database.
Cheers,
Emmi
Thanks, we'll move it when the branding has been confirmed.
This poly will be a LEGO Store GWP
This'll be a must buy for parts alone. Silver domes , legs , whatever that trans green stud is attached to...
Really, IDK if I want this. It is only a droid, a SJ and SpiderMan for perhaps £5? No way.
The parts are great, but it will probably be way overpriced just because of the SJ... I don't know about this one, guys...
Pointless poly...who doesn't already have this minifig? Considering they've specifically branded this as Ultimate Spider-man, they could have updated the costume regardless of the costs. They are the biggest toy company in the world and make billions in revenue, they can afford a new print design.
This isn't the first polybag with nothing new or interesting. Iron Man vs. Fighting Drone had a repeat figure and a cheap build, too. And I doubt we'd get a new Spider-Man in a cheap poly that is only there to make people buy more. This seems more like side-of-checkout fodder than a LEGO exclusive to me.
My mistake, never noticed the branding before. Still, does anyone need this poly considering it's probably the most produced minifig? At least Batman and Iron Man have lots of variants, if they can afford those prints, why not a new spider-man?
I'm really surprised with the bellyaching over a likely gift-with-purchase polybag for being "too expensive" when I never hear a peep over the CMF prices. At least there's something to even BUILD here.
There's only a $1 difference now between (CMF) 1 minifig vs. (Polys) 1-2 minifigs + 20-50 bricks. Now THAT is expensive.
It's not the price, it's the repetition. This is the 8th time this particular minifig has been used. As a full set it's forgivable, as a poly, it's not. It's just not required or requested. Putting aside the comic con exclusives, why not an Alfred or Killer Croc? How about Iron Patriot or Black Widow? These wouldn't cost TLG any more to produce and are very sought after minifigs.
Well with the recent announcement of the movie license being handed over from Sony back to Marvel, we're bound to have a few movie sets again and inevitable Spidey figure variants. He's set to return to Marvel's broader cinematic universe so hopefully we'll see him appearing in the coming movies (and LEGO sets) before the next Spider-Man movie in 2017. I'm expecting a little teaser in the after-credits scene of Avengers Age of Ultron. ;)
That robot looks like the octobots on the show.
Also @LukeSkywalker last I heard those were still just rumors.
But it was reported and confirmed today in the news that the Sony/Marvel deal has been made, so there's definitely more freedom for Disney now to allow LEGO to produce Spidey-movie sets :)
