CMF Series 14 collector sheet found

Posted by ,

TheBrickFan has posted this image of the collector sheet from the series 14 minifigures which provides final confirmation of the sixteen figures to be available:

  • Werewolf, Zombie Pirate, Crazy Scientist, Witch
  • Plant Monster, Fly Monster, Spectre, Zombie Cheerleader
  • Tiger Woman, Gargoyle, Skeleton Guy, Monster Rocker
  • Zombie Businessman, Banshee, Bigfoot, Spider Lady

I have to say, they look excellent and it will definitely be worth picking up a whole case of 60 and keeping them all.

See a large version of the collector sheet after the break.

By in United Kingdom,

They look fun but would rather have a mixture of themes rather than just spooky.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

Already preorder a couple of boxes of 60s from my favourite Lego shop.

These will go well with my Monster Fighter and Scooby Doo sets.

For the first time, I like all the figures in this series. :D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Need all the monsters!!!

Honestly the only one I'm not that keen on is the mad scientist, because we've already had a much better version of that type of character. One saving grace is it looks like he might have some of the new two part moulded legs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ooh, I'm (slightly) revising an earlier opinion. Fly Monster looks very cool!

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

My favourite series so far.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Anyone else noticed that the crazy scientist's flask has a fly print, could there be an implication that he either made, or turned into the Fly creature?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Probably pick up a few for new parts, but on the whole zombies/horror is one of my least favourite themes so I'd personally prefer a mix of themes. Horses for courses.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I keep hearing that people do t like the mad Scientist. ... not sure why but I really think he is adorable. Love those big googly eyes. So excited for this series. I love them all. Definitely a whole case buy.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Wow, that's a lot of new molds all in one series!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I see here figures for castle, space, pirates and city, so what's not to like?!
The weakest figure IMO the Rockmonster and the second- skeleton guy.

And we had mad scientist. This one is wacky!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wow.. Lego spent some serious time on this series.. I love them all... What will be the most desirable one though... Last series was the Hot Dog Guy!! Love the Plant monster and Fly Monster... I think it'll have to be a whole box this time around!! Hope Sainsbury's launch with a 3for2 offer like they have before..

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I gave up on CMFs after series 10, but these are a must, I'm afraid.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Been reading about this on Eurobricks for a good deal of the morning, and they certainly appeal to me. My favourite is the Spider Lady for some reason. The look of the minifigure is appealing, really, and can easily be used as a (very decent) female vampire (finally!).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like these a lot, especially after the Simpsons' set, which was a bit of a let down.

The Spectre and the Banshee in particular have a lot of potential for MOCs based around the Ghostbusters set.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I've only been into Lego for a year or so and I'm really struggling with this whole minifig thing. Can someone explain to me why someone would buy boxes of these things? People saying they're going to buy hundreds? I don't get it. Why? I'm guessing I'm missing something? What's the appeal of buying so many?

I'm not against spending lots of money on Lego! I've spent about £4000 in a year :'( I just don't get the mass buying and by "don't get" I mean I don't understand. I'm not taking the mick!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Yakashi - some people build their own creations and like various mini figures to populate them...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Wow! They are really much nicer than I initially thought, as I did not care that much for an all out monster/horror theme when this series was first announced.
Hard to pick one favourite, but I definitely love the Gargoyle; witch; sprite; Banshee; and plant monster most of the bunch.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

@Yakashi
I want to collect all sixteen to keep as they are, and at least one duplicate of all and if possible more of the ones I like as the CMF's are a treasure chest of interesting parts and pieces for minifig MOC'ing and customization. So if I can afford and manage to buy an entire box I will get one. Though people who buy multiple boxes, I believe do that for another reason; mainly as resellers.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Yakashi a complete box 'only' has 60 figs, with a general average of 3 figs each of a certain type. So if people are wanting an army of zombies etc then it makes sense to try and buy a box. Alternatively buy a box guarantees getting a complete set, and you either have a lot of spares, or can sell the other complete sets/spare figs to recoup some if not all of your original cost.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

the witch's cat looks like a Grumpy Cat to me :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wow I have to admit, I am really tempted to get a complete box,
Might sound like a silly question but where can you pick up a complete sealed / unopened box from... does the official Lego site sell them like that?
Cheers,

Gravatar
By in Saudi Arabia,

A few rehashed figures, but I don't mind it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

These look really cool, definitely going to get these when they are released.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

All of them! I need all of them!

Ever since the Yeti I have been hoping for a companion Bigfoot, stoked to see it become a reality (and giving him a camera is just brilliant).

I'm going to need a handful of the Plant Monster- Poison Ivy needs some hapless goons to be her muscle.

I wonder how good a couple of those Gargoyle figs would look perched atop the Modular Town Hall...

Now I'm wondering if the next Simpson's Series will be a 'Treehouse of Horror' themed lot- that fly head would be perfect for Bart...

That Monster Rocker is going right on top of Lord Vampyre's Hearse, a'la the Doof Wagon from Mad Max. I can see the monsters rolling into LEGO City while he stands on the roof shredding...

Gravatar
By in United States,

What's with the banshee's legs and hair? Are those clear-colored/translucent pieces, or multi-colored? It's really hard to make out in the image.

**Edit: looks like the legs are a new mold, as the Spectre has it as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does anyone else think that Bigfoot kinda looks like an angry Chewbacca?

Gravatar
By in Philippines,

@Master of Lightning I think you meant Bigfoot

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hellooo 9 - one step closer to a West Coast Avengers roster with Tigra there!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Dedgecko It's a new Ninjago piece or at least appeared there first. Some of their new 2015 baddies have them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look terrific. Can't wait to get 'em. Nice touch to give Bigfoot a camera.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^^^^theenigma

I dont think Lego Shop at Home will sell you a complete box, they normally have a maximum of 16 packs which will be random. Lego stores may sell a full box and the assistants are usually helpful if you are after certain figs.

Best places I have found for a full box is Argos, Tesco, Asda, TRU and independent retailers, like my local Coop store.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The gargoyle would be great for a castle!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Some very nice minifigs this time round - looking forward to picking up a set...or two ;-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ooooooooh....

Gravatar
By in France,

the scientist reminds me of a minion

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oooo! That looks like a TAIL on that werewolf lumberjack (I take it S5's 'Kel' had an accident!). And on tiger lady too. Cheers for the heads up :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Even though I haven't been into any of the Monster themed stuff these sure do look appealing. The printing and detail looks incredible. Might have to pick up some of these.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anyone else notice the catgirl has a whip? Might that be construed as just a little bit of an adult theme?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

This is by FAR the BEST CMF series LEGO has ever made, I need all of these. ESPICALLY THE Banshee, Specter, Monster Bug, Zombie Pirate, Crazy Scientest and Skeleton Boy!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

do we have an actual release date in uk? also does anyone know who likely to be the first stockist, as previously we have had one retailer a couple of weeks before the rest

Gravatar
By in United States,

Omg! Need that Banshee! The Cheerleader would complete my squad of rivals!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thanks for the reply Calv, think I'll have to put the walking boots on and have a rummage upon release, would be great to get them from a Lego store though as I'm always on the lookout to use my VIP card!
Thanks again

Gravatar
By in United States,

Need a bunch of those pumpkin baskets. Lots of brick or treaters at the Haunted House.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Funny; I distinctly recall choruses of "Worst Series EVAHR!" when news of this first came out. Then again I remember hearing the same for Series.... all of them actually. Glad the consensus has turned around!

Gravatar
By in United States,

LIKE!

But I'm still trying to find a Unicorn Girl! =P

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Legogeek, you can pick up Unicorn Girl for a few bucks on BrickLink.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Wow, I love these!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

"The Blocky Horror Picture Show" at 13:18 above. Definitely the comment of the thread.

I was underwhelmed by the pre-release leak images but these are remarkably good. A real winner of a series.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They are all really neat. I will have to pick up some when they come out. There are some awesome new pieces that come with them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very cool. I have to say that the Tiger Woman figure would make a great Cheetara(a Wonder Woman villain) and would fit in well with the Superhero figures.

Gravatar
By in Philippines,

I was one of those really not liking the idea that CMS 14 will be based on a Single theme (Halloween). I was hoping so much that it would be like the previous 13 that had eclectic mixes of minifigs. Am not really liking the Halloween theme in general.

But looking at this leaflet now, I can say the series is growing on me! Bigfoot especially, while just a differently colored Yeti, won me over. While dreading the notion of lotsa zombies (not a zombies fan), the three zombies here are too cute to hate. Heck almost all of them are cute! No-brainer for box orders. I can only imagine the horror of these flying off shelves.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Looking forward to this set. I don't normally collect CMFs (I only have S11, TLM, Simpsons 1+2), but this set has so much potential for mixing it up with other minifigs. Totally making the Bart Fly from The Simpsons Treehouse 8.

Gravatar
By in United States,

How do we go about buying a whole case?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've been waiting for a series like this. Almost put it onto the Ideas site. Sooo happy that they are doing this. Halloween is our favorite holiday.

How do you go about buying a Case? Is there a savings in it or are the costs the same as individual bags?

Gravatar
By in United States,

@beekuzz I'd say your best and cheapest bet is to catch whoever manages your local toy store/department and ask them if they can order several cases (and when they should arrive). I run the toy department at my local Walmart and I order 2-4 cases at a time sometimes because I know how popular they are.

Also, these minifigs would be a great alternative to giving candy away on Halloween. Maybe just for those that only get a handful of kids, though, because that could get pricey.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Thank you @freelancer47. The closest toy store I have is Kmart or TRU express store that doesn't carry much. I will try to contact them anyway.

Are we guaranteed to get at least one of each minifig in a case? That to me is the reason to buy a case rather than one at a time. I spent a fortune on the 12th and 13th series bags one at a time. - @sputnix

When are they coming out, if you know, so I know how fast I should try to contact someone?

Thank you again,

Gravatar
By in United States,

@beekuzz This minifigure series is supposed to come out in September from what I've read.

I don't know much about whether each character is guaranteed to be in every box, but someone else discussed that above. They say that an average of 3 of each character will come in a box containing 60 bags.

There are sites that will sell you one of each character in a series, but the price per minifigure will be a lot higher. minifigurestore.com sells the complete Series 13 collection for $89.99 right now.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those are awesome. And some of those are pretty obviously things from movies... Anyone else see The Fly, a Dementor, Cheetah from DC, or Frank from Hotel Transylvania in that selection?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does anyone know if the banshee or spectre is glow in the dark?

Gravatar
By in Indonesia,

Is this the first time we see a black cat? (Witch 4)

Gravatar
By in United States,

@PicnicBasketSam - I definitely am thinking Cheetah or some other superhero character with the Tiger Woman.

These look really nice, overall. I have no interest in the "monsters" theme per se, but I love cryptobiology so the Bigfoot has my attention (along with the Tiger Woman).

Gravatar
By in Canada,

At first, I thought the pumpkin candy basket might be the same piece used for the body of BB-8, but now that I look a little closer, it seems too stout.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

This definitely looks like a great series. I will certainly be collecting them all. I count 10 new pieces, I think?

The only thing I don't get is why the Fly Monster has a crab pincer, and only one at that.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Next time, they need to do an entire Christmas set!

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

Overall thoughts:
Werewolf: .... uhrrrrr....
Pirate: Not a bad design, honestly. It can still be an addition to any Pirate scene.
Scientist: Love it! Being another one yet very original.
Witch: Not something new though the design is lovely.
Plant/Fly: Very good works, though I'm not too into these.
Spectre: Uh... looks like the lowest level of the Death Eaters from HP...
Cheerleader: She's nice, but mostly because the red one was uninspiring.
Tiger: Lovely!!
Gargoyle: Great reference yet original in LEGO world.
Skeleton Guy: Very good idea, at least its not a real skeleton :p. The latern seems to be the real star...
Monster Rocker: yet another "Uhrr....." why don't at least change to a new instrument?
Businessman: Not a bad look, though not sure if he's a popular one?
Banshee: YES! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!
Bigfoot: Uhmmm... reasonable recolor I guess?
Spider Lady: Neutral to me, not bad yet not too original.

Excluding the rehashing ones, it's definitely a good series. Not sure if I'm willing to see another themed series, but hope that we can still see (original) monsters in later series.

> they need to do an entire Christmas set!
Uh, think twice. LEGO can rehash all the Winter Village citizens for you.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Huh. Werewolf and Bigfoot for the win, the rest I can forget about.

Gravatar
By in France,

Il love gargoyle, tiger ,spider lady, werewolf, fly and skeleton

Gravatar
By in United States,

What a great looking set! Best MiniFigures set yet??? :) The Bigfoot with a camera had me laughing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Did anyone else notice the werewolf is the lumberjack from series 5?

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

^ Guess even minifigures have secrets of their own. Some of these (like the Fly Man) will make excellent habitants for my space planet. Neat to see the twist with BigFoot using a camera.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I live for Halloween so this is already my favorite CMF series by a mile. I can't wait to sprinkle these guys throughout my Haunted House! I think it's brilliant that the werewolf is based off an existing CMF and I will have to buy a Lumberjack so I can display both forms together! I'm also glad that he comes with the Rocket Racoon tail. I was planning to put one on him based on the initial leaked photos, but Lego read my mind :)

A lot of people don't seem to like the rock n' roll Frankenstein but I think he is a perfect love letter to the kitschy, campy cartoons of the 60s and 70s, particularly one about mystery-solving teens who get into spooky scrapes and meet a few goofy monsters along the way. That probably isn't relevant to anything though! ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Luv the Gargoyle - will need two of him. And Bigfoot just cracks me up.

It's hard to tell but, the bases on the two ghosties, are they trans-clear? If so, awesome concept, and some smart r&d going into these.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow! These look fantastic. I am not really big on monster/horror theme, but those new pieces would be great to have. Like others though, the mad scientist is my least favorite. I'll probably be swapping out the zombie head for regular heads. ( I abhor zombies) Huzzah! Cheers to another great series!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@iamgroot14. Haha yes.
Why does dome minifigures don't have accessory?

Gravatar
By in Philippines,

Buying a case of 60, based on reviews of all 16 previous CMSs and personal experience, will give you at least 2 complete sets. Most actually give 3 complete sets plus 14 excess of common minifigs.
