5002948 C-3PO is now available in Toys R Us stores across the UK, free with a LEGO Star Wars purchase of over £15.00 or on sale individually at £4.99. You can also find it online. This is only its second appearance in the UK after a box was delivered to Hamleys in London on Force Friday.

We will soon be bringing you a review of the polybag, as well as the final two sets based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens: 75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle and 75105 Millennium Falcon.

Update: The Brickset Effect has struck again as the polybag is now sold out online.

By in United Kingdom,

Just ordered one for delivery, it's limited to one per customer on-line.

By in United Kingdom,

Pardon my ignorance, but how is this C-3PO different from previous C-3PO's ?

By in United Kingdom,

Called MK store and they don't have them in yet but a really great figure and you only have to spend £15. If you can wait for Argos 3 for 2 then for amazon to price match then get toy r us to price match with free fig. Long winded but I find the only way to be a collector is the find the best deal you can.

@mission_zed
Look closely and you will see a major difference. It would appear he has had some cosmetic change since ROTJ

By in United Kingdom,

ive added more than £15 to my basket but there seems to be no mention of free polybag.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Justalex81 - You might have to add it to your cart yourself, but it does take the money for it off when you look at the shopping cart

By in United Kingdom,

^ add the polybag (use Huw's link above) and then any starwars set over £15 to your basket It's then reduced in the price to £0.00. At least mine was with the Luke Skywalker constraction figure my son wants. UK Delivery seems to be £4.95 so it is a bit swings and roundabouts.

By in United States,

Any word of this set being released in the US?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Packet makes it look chrome, but picture of minifig clearly isn't. I presume it's not a chrome figure?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Any word on when this might become available to us continentals? I've checked the Dutch Toys'R'Us website but they don't have it (yet).

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Great, we are going to the UK this week-end so just ordered it online. Like others said you have to add it to your basket yourself, if you spend over 29,95 delivery is free. Thanks for letting us know!
@joefish I think I heard it's not chrome, mostly it's the arm that is new

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@ The Sly Fox - You're going to make me work for this, aren't you ? As Joefish says, it looks Chrome on the packaging but I assume it is not. Is the left arm actually reddish brown ? I thought that was just artistic lighting ...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I agree Joefish, I thought it looked like a lovely new Chrome 3po but the fig picture actually looks pretty dull.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I hope it will come to German stores as well.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Unfortunately the minifigure is pearl gold rather than chrome, while the arm is dark red in keeping with C-3PO's updated appearance in The Force Awakens.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Any of our fellow UK Bricksetters would mind to pick me one up and ship it over the North Sea? Thanks. -)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just going to pretend I didn't see this lol,

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

i already purchase it online. :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I believe this is in the US in November?? I recall reading a line-up of TRU releases somewhere on the forum.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@CapnRex101: That's misrepresentation! The packet quite clearly shows it as chrome figure, whilst it's just boring old pearl gold!

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

You forgot to mention that he has a new arm (kinda like Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain) for Ep7.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

So I thought I'd put in an order but it seems the polybag is already gone ...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Now showing as out of stock online

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A lot of eBay scalpers are in for a surprise when their non-chrome droids turn up then...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Have people been advertising them on Ebay as chrome?

They'll be getting alot of opened returns then.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Interestingly the news story says they can be bought for £4.99 but have visited 2 stores today and they are refusing to sell them without
The lego purchase, in fact one store said we couldn't even have them with the purchase because the promotion doesn't start until tomorrow, but we showed them that they had put the shelf tickets out so they honoured the deal. But wouldn't sell us any extras.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The stoke on trent branch has about 40 of them on the shelf priced £4.99. I purchased three. As I can still pick up the sets I want discounted at Argos/Amazon and still comes out cheaper just paying a fiver.

There were no restrictions as this branch.

The figure itself is more of a matt bronze /god colour with the red arm. Not chrome or metallic in any way.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Manchester Toys R Us limited the purchase to two per person.

@coyotelily: as far as I remember the sign on the shelfs the small print says that they can be bought at £4.99 seperatley, so I guess they'd honour this as well.

Thanks to CapnRex101 for the good news. Luckily I was in walking distance today.

By in United States,

Am I the only one that is disgusted by resellers nowadays? I see several people on bricklink that have 10+ of these already (one guy supposedly has over 100 of them) and they are reselling for over 4x the price. GRRRRRR!!!! I would love to have one, but being in the US, I guess I'll have to wait and see if it ever gets released here. Good luck to those of you searching in the UK!!!

By in New Zealand,

Free with qualifying LEGO Star Wars purchases at Toyworld stores in New Zealand.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Guess I know where i'm heading tomorrow

Gravatar
By in Italy,

.....wow, great :( ......in Italy we have Toys Center and there aren't these type of promotions and offers.......it's possible buy it from Italy directly from the Toys R Us's online shop?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Isn't it weird seeing grown men going crazy over this? Bumbling their way to toy stores to buy these to sell them online. It's sad. I'm in the US and I'll just wait when it's a give away here. Anyone going to Ebay just stop you're feeding the pathetic trolls.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's worth noting that the TC4 giveaway from last year was going for £14-20 on e-bay at time of release and is now widely listed for under a tenner.

I don't mind paying a premium of a few pounds to save a 20 mile round trip to TRU! But it's probably worth waiting for a while.

By in United Kingdom,

My local Toys 'R' Us in Bromley hasn't even relieved theirs yet, and said it could be "anytime within a week"

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

So I just went into my local TRU Southampton to pick C-3PO up. I was told that they can't sell them separately by a staff member. I asked her why it was given a price on the offer plaque if it can't sold separately. She went and got the manager. He explained that he has a limited stock and can't sell the individually until 20 October. He also said when you look at eBay etc…. I agreed with this predicament. However, whilst I was waiting I went on the TRU website and ordered C-3PO via click and collect. I showed him this and he happily sold me one. Clearly cross-communication between the website and in-store offer.

My advice - click and collect then pop in and get him.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@quiettman and @Sethro3: Yeah, they will be a TRU release in the US around Nov 1st, likely 3.99, maybe 4.99 as it is SW..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@legobrix73 Thanks for notifying of the stock in Stoke - wasnt going to risk the trip but this cleared it up for me. There is still plenty left in stoke.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Toys r us stoke on trent must have had another delivery... at least 3 box's of 3p0's.. got 2.. ni sanctions set on buying...yet

Gravatar
By in Poland,

In Toys R Us in Poland you can't get them :/

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I tried Click and Collect and was refused the sale at £4.99 even though the website states 'available to buy in store'. Had to buy set over £15 to get mine - but got one :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

My order has been cancelled by toysrus - but still dispatched the rest of the order which I can get cheaper elsewhere. Not impressed.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Reading branch of Toys R Us would not give me the free polybag with my purchase of the Star Wars Advent Calendar at £24.99. They argued that the Advent Calendar was not a Lego set, but a homeware product!!???

I argued until blue in the face but to no avail. They were more than happy however to sell me one for £4.99.

I have just written a nasty letter to TRU (copied to Trading Standards) demanding a refund!.....

Disgusting shop.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ordered mine via Click and Collect and picked up in the Portsmouth store yesterday - no hassle from anyone. I notice this morning that it is again available for online delivery as well as Click and Collect.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I went to TRU in Chatham. They had them behind the till and I purchased one. However there was quite a discussion before that because they said I had to spend over £15 to get it. I did have to go to the shelf and show them it clearly states they are £4.99 if purchased separately. They are being really strict with these which is a good thing so at least everyone gets a chance to get them. I do however think the staff need to be trained in both customer services and manners would be nice.
