Cosmic Boy to be included with new LEGO DC movie
Posted by TheBrickPal,
Many people have been wondering about how exactly they can get their hands on the recently discovered polybag 30304 Cosmic Boy. Now it appears we finally have our answer!
The minifigure, a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, will be packaged with the new film LEGO DC Comics Superheroes - Justice League: Cosmic Clash. The DVD and Blu-ray will be available on March 1, 2016 in the United States.
Catch the official description after the break!
The brick-battling Justice League — Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Cyborg — must fend off that no-good robotic alien menace, Brainiac, before he bags Earth as the next addition to his shrunken menagerie. But Brainiac has a secret weapon, and hurls members of the League to different points in time, meaning Batman, Flash, and Cyborg have to assemble the Cosmic Treadmill to get them back. Characters like Supergirl, Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, Vandal Savage and Captain Fear also make appearances. It’s going to be a heck of a team up.
The cast includes some amazing voice talent including Troy Baker (Batman), Nolan North (Superman), Grey Griffin (Wonder Woman), Josh Keaton (Green Lantern), Khary Payton (Cyborg), James Arnold Taylor (The Flash), Phil LaMarr (Brainiac), Jessica DiCicco (Supergirl), Kari Walhgren (Saturn Girl), Yuri Lowenthal (Cosmic Boy), Andy Milder (Lightning Lad), Phil Morris (Vandal Savage), and Jason Spisak (Captain Fear).

Vandal Savage... Very interesting...
I sometimes joke with people that DC should be thankful Lego exists - because without DVDs like this one and games (Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham), DC wouldn't have much of a cinematic universe left. :P
Cool minifig
Does this mean that the polybag will be packed in with the DVD box or will it be shipped in a separate case and be given out at point of purchase?
I think this is going to be in-box. Target had exclusive DVD editions of the Hobbit films, one of which included a packed-in Legolas polybag.
@chrismajor,
While I understand you're just joking, DC has actually been putting out some steller animated movies for years now. Many of them I'd put above any live action superhero movie released in the past five years or so. They're just low-key because they're animated, but not typically targeted towards kids.
Anyone know a way I can see how many minifigs have been released in DC DVDS?
@ chrismajor2124
Also, there are quite a few different series on TV currently (Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Supergirl, and others I have probably not seen available), whereas Marvel seems to be concentrating on the big screen...
The Cinematic universe is there, just on the smaller screen, but more readily accessible...
Very excited for this.
My son (age 5), and I love to sit together and watch these DC LEGO movies. (And I love the exclusive figures that feed my collection).
I have just one concern. I hope LEGO doesn't fall into the nasty sexist rut of not giving us female heroes. Especially Saturn Girl. With Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad now made available, I hope they finish out the core founders of the Legion of Superheroes in LEGO form.
As an aside, chrismajor2124, I'll take 12 hours of a Excellent Flash TV show, Arrow TV show, Supergirl TV show, Lego movies, and DC Animated movies instead of a 2 hour cinematic movie that can't capture half of what the shows can.
Marvel has the theaters, but DC has the small screen conquered.
