Disney Princess at NYTF
Posted by Huw,
Here are photos of the two summer Disney Princess releases, courtesy of Jedi News. I think these are the first pictures of the boxes we have seen.
LostInTranslation was salivating at the London toy fair when she saw the Beauty and the Beast one, Belle's Enchanted Castle. It's full of fan-pleasing details, so it's easy to see why.

I have just realized Belle's Castle would be perfect for remaking the musical play in LEGO form!
The Beast looks hilariously ridiculous with that thin minidoll body.
^Nah, the Beast looks perfect. As does the new gown skirting piece. The brick-built characters are really fun. I can't wait for this set, and it will be the perfect gift for my sister-in-law.
I like it.
Jmjt4 I completely disagree. My daughter is going to love this.
It's exactly what it should be. I love it... because my girls will ADORE it.
PRINTS!!!!
The only thing that's bothering me, and it is the most superficial thing in the world, is that Chip is essentially "double handled" since his nose is supposed to be the handle of a tea cup, and since he's printed on a mug, there's the mug handle. It's so picky and stupid, but it's the first thing I noticed. That said, my inner-little girl wants these princess sets pretty badly.
Looks really great, a single set that encompasses an entire film is really impressive and great. Hopefully it is at the $80 range, and would be a perfect gift for any fan.
Yes Huw I was excited about this. I got told off for wandering over to look at it when I was supposed to stick to the prescribed route and look at the Friends sets first.
The castle itself is nothing spectacular but itit has some really lovely details and the characters are excellent. Can't wait to get this one.
I am pretty darn psyched about this. I hated all these minidoll sets at first and now I really love them. I have all the Disney princess sets released so far. I mean c'mon they're Disney ... How bad can they be.
@mr_piggle: You are so right. I mean, I'm still a fan, but that is the biggest disappointment about these characters.
@Ken Benjes: I hope I'm not reporting incorrectly, but I swear I remember seeing that this set would cost $49.99.
I just went and checked. Toyark has a picture of Belle's Enchanted Castle that shows the placard with a SRP of $49.99. I am loving that price.
I thought this would be made with bright light yellow like family house 10686 or Stephanie's beach house 41037. I think the dark red clashes with the lavender, and that is what people do not like. The set is designed well, though and it is a great price.
ANOTHER Rapunzels tower!! May I ask why?
