New Minecraft minifigure packs announced

LEGO has just announced on Facebook that two sets of four new Minecraft minifigures are being launched in September. There's a video there that will tell you all about them.

The set numbers appear to be 853609 and 853610 which suggests they will be available only in brand stores and online.

Not into Minecraft, and don't care too much for the square heads, but I like these. I'd probably pay $11-$12 for them (pack of 4), but not $15.

To me they seem to be exclusive. I hope they are not. I wonder what the price tag is though, probably 7.99 - 9.99 USD.

awesome, these are skins! my kids spend as much time fooling w new skins as actually playing the game, if properly marketed these will be a hit w the minecraft set fans

Stunning minifigs! Will they be accessorised in the packs?
Not a player/builder of Minecraft (though the concept is fascinating) but I love the Star Wars skins!
Also, 2nd from right in the top set: Guybrush Threepwood...?

Can't decide what I think of these
Minecraft sets were great for part packs, some were alright sets.
Didn't get the minifigures
However I don't hate these sets, I expect many will like them and they will sell well

These will look great in Minecraft displays/MOC's, but that astronaut head will definitely find its way into other MOC's. What a perfect print for that head piece.

You know what'd be even cooler than this? Having custom-printed versions of your own skin. I hope these sell well enough to provide a demand for those.

I wonder if these are the skins of some well-known Minecraft players. I've seen some of those sold in stores (as non-Lego versions) already. (If that's the case, they should have done OMGchad.)

I agree with the others about the two that look like Boba Fett and Han Solo. I'd have to say that the third one across in the top picture sure looks like Harry Potter (hp116)!

That definitely doesn't look like Han solo to me. Looks more like a pirate or swashbuckler who happens to be a woman. Just look at the strap crossing the torso. Han solo never had one of those on his outfit. The closest thing he had was a gun holster on his leg. Plus look at the face compared to the others. Seems the face is suppose to be feminine like Alex (from mine craft). And the T shape on the 'Boba fett' figure isn't synonymous to boba fett. Character such as Shovel Knight (from the game) have that kind of mask. So I'd say neither are Star wars related. I could be wrong, but it seems highly unlikely.

Minecraft is my favorite theme, but thses are kinda dumb. i wish they had more common skins (or youtubers skins, since those are EVERYWHERE!) but this could POSSIBLY open the door to an online thing where you could get a figure with your own in game skin. i would pay alot for that.
