Rogue One sets revealed
Posted by CapnRex101,
Three Rogue One: A Star Wars Story sets were revealed yesterday and LEGO has now announced the other five via its Facebook page. The sets will be available on the 30th of September but there is a possibility that they will be available to pre-order before then and we will let you know if that proves to be the case.
I think this is one of the strongest waves of Star Wars sets in recent years and would be interested to hear your thoughts in the comments.
You will find large images of all eight sets as well as set descriptions after the break...
75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank:
- 385 pieces
- £29.99, $29.99, €39.99
- Chirrut Îmwe, Imperial Hovertank Pilot (x2)
- Help Chirrut battle the Imperial Assault Hovertank as it patrols the streets. This tough urban patrol vehicle has a two-minifigure cockpit and a rotating and elevating turret gun with spring-loaded shooters to target enemies of the Empire. And if the rebel forces hide out of sight, open the storage container, grab the blasters and play out your own mini urban battles!
75153 AT-ST Walker:
- 449 pieces
- £39.99, $39.99, €49.99
- AT-ST Driver, Rebel Trooper, Baze Malbus
- Go on the hunt for Baze and the Rebel Trooper aboard the All Terrain Scout Transport. Open the top hatch, load up the AT-ST Driver and move the legs to speed into action. When you’ve tracked them down, turn the wheel to rotate the top and prepare to fire the spring-loaded shooters! Can Baze and the trooper escape the advancing AT-ST? That’s for you to decide…
75154 TIE Striker:
- 543 pieces
- £59.99, $69.99, €69.99
- Imperial Shoretrooper, Imperial Ground Crew, TIE Pilot, Rebel Trooper
- Prepare for launch with the amazing TIE Striker, the Empire’s atmospheric patrol fighter! Open the minifigure cockpit from the top or front and put in the TIE Pilot. Help the Imperial ground crew member put supplies in the rear hold and arm the spring-loaded shooters. Then adjust the huge wings and launch into the skies in search of rebels!
75155 Rebel U-wing Fighter:
- 659 pieces
- £69.99, $79.99, €79.99
- Bistan, Rebel Trooper, U-wing Pilot, Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso
- Open the cockpit and place the U-Wing Pilot in his seat. Fire up the engines and launch into the sky. Keep a lookout below with the transparent window, and when you spot the enemy, fire the front spring-loaded shooters and stud shooters mounted in the side doors. You can even fold the wings back for a bigger model!
75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle:
- 863 pieces
- £79.99, $89.99, €99.99
- K-2SO, Bodhi Rook, Pao, Director Krennic, Imperial Death Trooper (x2)
- When a tough transport ship is needed, Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle is the perfect choice. Put him into the pilot seat, open out the thick-armor plating and seat the Death Troopers. Lower the ramp and check the blasters are secured, then arm the spring-loaded shooters and seal the hull for takeoff. Raise the landing skids, lower the wings for flight mode and set off on another dangerous mission!
75119 Sergeant Jyn Erso:
- 104 pieces
- £19.99, $24.99, €24.99
- This tough Rebel soldier has everything she needs to take on the Empire. Build the figure, load the blaster rifle, put her in a battle pose and fire the spring-loaded shooter! Then grab the truncheons and turn the wheel to activate the arm-swinging battle function. Jyn Erso is ready to bring the battle to the Empire!
75120 K-2SO:
- 169 pieces
- £19.99, $24.99, €24.99
- Once an Imperial security droid, K-2SO is now ready to fight for the Rebel Alliance. Build the droid, then push the button to the side to swing each arm or push it straight to swing both at the same time! The powerful K-2SO has the strength and skill to take on the Empire!
75121 Imperial Death Trooper:
- 106 pieces
- £19.99, $24.99, €24.99
- Elite soldiers of the Imperial Intelligence, Death Troopers are the Empire’s most imposing enforcers and bodyguards! Build the trooper, grab the blaster pistol from the holster or fire the blaster rifle with spring-loaded shooter. Then put him in a battle pose and get ready to defend the Empire!
Do you have a favourite set of those revealed today? I am finding it difficult to choose just one but am particularly impressed by 75153 AT-ST Walker, 75154 TIE Striker, 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle and 75120 K-2SO.

Thanks for the update!
The evil characters look very good as buildable figures.
Yes K2SO looks brilliant in Constraction form.
The AT-ST is the only that strongly interests me, although I will likely acquire them all anyway. The prices are nice.
Who is Pao?
The TIE is an odd price but everything looks good. No XWing in a movie called Rogue one is very interesting.
I think I'll get the AT-ST when it's available at a discount. The TIE Striker, maybe.
The others don't really interest me much to be honest.
I like them all, but the TIE Striker and AT-ST are top of the list for me. It's a shame that I return from my trip to the US on 30th September, otherwise I could have paid the cheaper US prices.
On the (massive) plus side, I'll be able to get a London Bus when I return :-)
AT-ST looks like the best rendition of this vehicle yet. 75121 is my favourite, the black stormtrooper looks awesome and better IMO than last year's Captain Phasma. I've never purchased a constraction set, but very tempted to get this one (perhaps to put on my desk to intimidate colleagues!). Agree K2SO looks smart too.
MUST RESIST!!! The temptation may be too much on the TIE and AT-ST!!
They all look fantastic. I will probably buy all of them except Jyn Erso and maybe the Death Trooper. I might wait for the TIE striker to go on sale, since it is the only one of these that is a little overpriced. I'm disappointed that Bodhi doesn't seem to have the Imperial logos in his arms, which he has in the movie. The AT-ST is my favorite thought, followed by Krennic's Imperial Shuttle and Imperial Assault Hovertank.
It's also nice that the K-2SO buildable figure seems to have the recolored sword from the Swashbuckler from Series 12 as his antenna.
@The Green Brick Giant Rogue One is the codename of Jyn and none of the main characters are X-wing pilots
I would prefer AT-ST with minifigures from original trilogy, but I can live with this one. Welcome on my wanted list.
I like the new CCBS thigh shells. The Death Trooper and K-2SO are definitely on my want list.
The At-St looks strikingly like the one from Battlefront, but I love it! That would be the first of these sets I would buy.
Decent wave. My personal faves:
1. AT-ST
2. Krennic's Imperial Shuttle
3. TIE Striker
4. U-Wing
5. Imperial Death Trooper
6. K-2SO
7. Imperial Hovertank
8. Jyn Erso (that thing is just AWFUL!!!)
I don't share the enthusiasm as I voiced it multiple times now. But most of my criticism actually goes to the designs of the moviemakers actually, not exactly to the lego sets. I think most of the new designs are just updated for the sake of selling new toys, and are kind of lazy. (Looking at you, Krennic's shuttle...) The TIE is actually a nice interim design between the Jedi-interceptors and the classic TIE-fighters, but in LEGO form it's just an escape pod with two huge wings... The hovertank is nothing special, a kid can throw together more imaginative stuff from LEGO...
The AT-ST is pretty nice though, I'll probably pick that one up, the price is quite good as well.
All in all, I don't think this line saves the 2016 roster. This is a bad year for LEGO Star Wars.
Is it just me or does Krennic's Imperial Shuttle looks like an evil pyramid with wings? Whatever, the rest of these sets look great though!
The problem with the design flaws is that it is happening along side the OT. When they did EP VII they were able to update everything since it was 30 or so years in the future, even with the EP I-III they were able to make substantial changes as it was early enough in the past that you could see changes. I would even say that in case of the TIE Striker you mean to tell me that in all of the major things that happened in the OT there was NO reason to use one?
In the case of the hover tank when looking at the source material it looks pretty close given the medium and size. I don't really collect SW other than battle packs and microfighters (mainly for the Minifigs) so I guess it is easy for me to like the things that they are putting out since I wont buy them anyway.
Its interesting that a new Death Star set is released near this particular movie release anyways, I will definetly be getting both the Hovertank and the AT-ST along with the U-Wing (need to balance the good guys with the bad). The Black Imperial Dropship is really well done but it doesn't hold my particular interest along with the Tie-Striker who I was planning to get.
I think Thorin's hairpiece would have been better suited for Baze, but I guess his backpack wouldn't have fit.
Why is 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank priced at £34.99 against the U.S. price of $29.99
I wonder what the TIE is supposed to be. It looks like an hyperspace-capable fighter or an attack-bomber.
The AT-ST is probably the set most people that collect Star Wars will buy from this range.
It's design is really good, althought it is probably to big for minifigs.
The hovertank looks unimpressive, but thats because it is the same in the movie.
U-Wing fighter... isn't that a transport, not a fighter?
What I really miss is a Saw.
Disney Castle available at shop.lego US around 8:30 am Central Time
I got to buy that AT-ST. What a great set. I never picked up a previous version of that walker. And the buildable figure of the droid K-2SO is amazing.
Hey jonmudley I am in total agreement with you pal. It isn't like I don't dig on them as LEGO sets, but whenever you do prequelish stories, and then insert radically weird designs into said story, it kind of blows the original story designs up and makes intelligent people say WHAT!?!
That TIE Striker is the worst offender of the bunch.
I'm all for new Star Wars...it's like pizza, gimme all kinds, all varieties, but the cash grab that we see taking place with the new designs of ships is just, I mean...just use the X-Wings and TIE Fighters...companies will STILL put out new products...in FACT, you could save your licensing partners a ton of money by letting them go in and make subtle changes to their existing tools rather than making all new ones.
The AT-St looks too big, it should be the same size as the one from battle of Endor set. But at least it got articulation it its legs ( but not enough though) I don't like the vehicles but I guess they are accurate. I don't like them because they have not been seen before. I want Krenic to have Lambda-class shuttle but unfortunatly not. The buildable figures looks good, got some new pieces. I want Erso to have her pony-tail oand not a cap on her head. We haven't got a female character without headgear as buildable figure yet....
Neither have we got a regular stormtrooper yet. It would fit great in this wave but it is nowhere to be seen. I have my fingers croossed!
@Yuffie I pretty much agree. K-2SO looks amazing, and the Death Trooper looks
pretty good. At least Jyn is a big step up from Rey. But I think humans can be done better. Obi Wan looked pretty good for having a human head. I'm looking forward to picking up some buildable fjgures, probably on clearance though. I've gotten all the ones I have today at 50%-80% off thanks to Walmart.
Looks like I can MOC a Lockheed Martin Sea Shadow from Krennic's shuttle. Probably the best use for it.
YES!!!! NO 6-DIGIT PRICES!!!!! I might actually be able to buy more than the AT-ST and the Hovertank.
I really want those Death Troopers and Shoretroopers....they had better be in a battle pack this fall.
@Dr.Doom: I felt like the Rey buildable figure had a more interesting outfit thanks to the textile element, although Jyn appears to have more interesting weapons. In terms of proportions and shaping I'd say the two are about equal. Little bit disappointed that Jyn costs more, but I guess that makes sense since she's got more complex weapons as well as some sort of construction on her back I can't quite ID.
I definitely don't get the hate Jyn is getting. Her sleeves might look thicker than they do in the movie, and conversely I don't like how narrow her thighs are, but other than that she has very good proportions. Personally I much prefer the non-armored figures to the armored ones. Generic monochrome trooper armor tends to bore me quickly, whereas characters like Obi-Wan, Finn, Rey, Poe, and Jyn tend to have much more interesting color schemes and more varied designs.
Plus, as a builder, I feel like human faces are a lot easier to reuse for MOCs outside the Star Wars theme than franchise-specific helmets. The Finn and Obi-Wan head sculpts could easily be used as human characters from any universe, while a stormtrooper helmet is, for the most part, always going to look like a stormtrooper helmet. Which makes me frustrated that all the female characters we've gotten have had headgear instead of just a face and hair…
BZPower has set descriptions for the playsets ( http://bzpower.com/story.php?ID=8868 ) and buildable figures ( http://bzpower.com/story.php?ID=8869 ). Interestingly, instead of a gearbox, it seems that K-2SO has a function similar to http://brickset.com/sets/70793-1/Skull-Basher — press a button on the back to swing the right arm, left arm, or both at once. He's got a great build overall, and a better piece count for his price point than any of the others.
Conversely, the Death Trooper has some creative flourishes, but overall feels like Yet Another Trooper, and doesn't even have as much nostalgic appeal for me most previous trooper sets. I can't see myself picking that set up as anything but a parts pack, and I'd probably get a better value in parts by looking for markdowns on previous figures like Vader or Kylo Ren.
As for the playsets, the AT-ST looks nice, but the one that interests me the most visually is the Hovertank. It uses some creative building techniques to achieve some really interesting textures and a shape that manages to fit the "used future" look of the Star Wars universe without feeling too derivative of previous vehicles. Some of the other new ships I'll have to see in action to really get a sense of how well they fit the universe, but the Hovertank wouldn't feel too out-of-place in the background of the original trilogy films.
The Hovertank and AT-ST also seem to offer a good value in terms of both their piece counts and their overall size. The Hovertank is compact but very chunky and substantial, and the AT-ST feels quite towering, formidable, and detailed compared to previous minifigure-scale incarnations of the same vehicle.
£35 for the Tank versus £40 for the walker is stupid economics.
It's too unfortunate it seems the AT-ST is suffering from the same leg problem as 75153 did. Judged by what I've seen my favourite is the TIE Striker, closely followed by the Tank.
Wow. Colour me unimpressed. They look like imaginary made-up sets designed by someone with very little imagination or building skills. The AT ST looks nice, and the TIE has a Jedi Interceptor look to it. The hovertank is just...awful. I dont think the latter half of 2016 is a good time to get into Lego, especially Lego Star Wars.
@BusStopWilly: Even if you don't feel like LEGO Star Wars is doing a great job right now, I definitely don't see how you could say that for LEGO in general. This summer's Ninjago, Nexo Knights, Elves, Technic, and Creator sets have been pretty excellent, and City and Friends have also had a pretty strong showing.
It's not really fair to judge the design quality of LEGO in general based on a movie license where the LEGO designers are beholden to the source material and not allowed the same creative liberties they get with their own IPs.
I like these a lot!
This may be just an insignificant little thing, but notice the official description for 75153 ends with, "That's for you to decide..." That brings back memories of the cheesy set descriptions when I was a kid looking through the catalogs in 2002 or so--they'd always end with, "Will X happen, or Y? You decide!" Just a neat thing I kinda liked.
I mostly agree with CaptainRex's choices, here are my favorites:
1. 75153 AT-ST Walker
2. 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle
3. 75121 Imperial Death Trooper
I'm disappointed by the U-Wing and the tank, I find them very poorly designed.
Except Jyn, the 2 buildable figures are very nice, but despite their accuracy, I will not buy them. I have Captain Phasma, it's very nice, but it's really just for display.
I don't think I will rush to buy RO sets for Christmas, I will rather focus on Turbo Tank. In about 1 year, RO sets should drop in price and be more appealing (remember TFA's Falcon? started at 160€+, I've bought it later at 142€ thinking I got a good deal, and now it's even down to 120€).
Well, I'm impressed with the range. Can't say anything more than I already have, so to summarise - I need that AT-ST. Good job Lego!
I must admit, these things look great. I especially love all the angles on Krennic's Imperial Shuttle and how they merge together by using that canopy piece. Really looking forward to when these come out (along with the movie, of course).
@ brobert Could not agree more. Either the underlying ship/vehicle is mediocre, or the Lego model of it. Cannot count the SW Legos I purchased last year - and none so far in 2016.
After having seen all the images I have been won over and may have to buy every set! This looks to be an expensive end to a year that has so far been somewhat disappointing.
Love All The Sets The Tie Striker Should Be 50$ And The U-Wing Should Be 60$ In My Opinion And I Hope We Get An AT-AST Set And Good Battle Packs Next Year And I Love All The Figures.PS *Bistan Is A Rocket Raccoon Wannabe*.
At £40 I might be buying more than one AT-ST! Will be interested to see side-by-side of earlier models based on the Endor version.
I for one am pretty impressed with the variation on the weapons. We're getting some brick built weapons, and even just adding the technic peg to some of the standard blasters is welcome.
I love this wave. There are no sets I dislike. Kudos to you Lego. I know I usually buy sets for $29.99 but I might make some exceptions
Ooh, Mean Threepio has a Skull Basher function. I like him even more now.
I like all of the System sets. I really do. The hovertank is a bit iffy, but the rest look great... my fave is the AT-ST, and I also really like Krennic's shuttle and the TIE Striker. I've a plan to get that AT-ST...
^what
When I saw the leaks of these sets back in late june/early july I held my breathe hoping one of the rebels in the shuttle was Saw Gerrera since I had a hard time making out those figures and I could tell he wasn't in other sets. Pretty bummed he didn't make it into any of the sets. He was the real draw for me since I'm a huge The Clone Wars fan.
I like all the standard sets but am still not keen on the Buildable Figures.
I've got to say, the buildable figures look really really good! I'm really happy to see the droid one, it shows the nuances the sets can have.
As for the sets themselves, they all look fairly decent. I'm not quite knowledgeable about Rogue One yet so the one that appeals to me the most is the AT-ST. Glad to see a good Star Wars release as of recent.
Why Is It That The U-Wing Set Box Shows One Rebel Trooper And In The Picture With The White Backround It Shows 2 Rebel Troopers
^ the picture's wrong, it should show the pilot (who's missing) and only one trooper (the trooper with the grey torso shouldn't be there).
Are there more pictures from other angles, play features etc anywhere, or are these the only ones released?
Anyone else think the at St is great value
I wonder if Pregnant-TIE's baby will look like the mom or dad?
Reasonably-priced Star Wars sets? Can it be? The AT-ST does look awesome and my favorite so far (and only $40!) but... does it have more than one leg joint? That CONSTANTLY bugs me on Lego Mechs and Walkers, there's only one leg joint in a reasonably-sized set. Even if this had TWO joints, I'd be ecstatic! If the most recent AT-AT has full ankle, knee, and hip joints, this better follow suit. Other than that, the hover tank looks cool, LOVE the vent design! As for the build-able figures... hoping for a Boba Fett, or an OT Stormtrooper, but K-2SO will do for now! What do you guys think?
The ones on the top of My list are the Hover-Tank, AT-ST the U-Wing and K-25O, He looks amazing in build-a-Figure form. The Hover-Tank has some really nice Minifigures and the AT-ST is actually a decent price.
I can't pick a favorite. I want them all!
Truly well done wave, Lego. If the 2017 set rumors are true then that plus this Rogue One wave more than makes up for this year's UCS playset failures.
"and play out your own urban battles"... How very kid friendly.
This has been the first year since 2004 that I havent bought any Lego star wars from, and these aren't looking like they're going to change that. The tank is lackluster, the at-st's legs are a monstrosity, the u-wing... just doesn't do it for me, but its not terrible (maybe I'll change my mind on it after watching the film), and I just dont like constraction figures. The two sets I do like are probably going to be horrifically overpriced anyway, as Lego star wars this year has been sitting at about 20c per piece in Australia.
Still, this does more than triple the number of lego star wars sets released this year that dont look horrible.
I think K-2SO will be my first constraction purchase ever. Thing looks slick!
I might get the Deathtrooper and K-2SO but the AT-ST is the only system set that interests me (original trilogy FTW!).
The rest is ugly garbage.
@ J0rgen...didn't you ever play "cops & robbers," "G.I. Joe," or any other type of manly pretend activities growing up? Everyone is so sensitive and sheltered. Its Star Wars; there are battles and its fantasy. I think most of these sets look great. I think that given current pricing, most of them are reasonably priced. I also think its great that the wings on Krennic's Shuttle move properly, something missed on Kylo's ship from last wave.
Add these to my wanted list.
75153 AT-ST Walker
75154 TIE Striker
75121 Imperial Death Trooper
As for the others, maybe just for the minifigures.
Sets look awesome just hoping for some Rogue one battle packs in the near future
I like all of the sets, and I think these are great additions to star wars design.
@ deephorse... The Sea shadow would be an interesting build, and you could make a great stealth fighter also.
@ Emmafofemma... Saw Guerra will be out in a later set.
The Tie Striker is for in atmosphere fighting.
I did not like the hover tank at first, but I like it more after seeing the trailer. I think it is hard to make a tank that makes sense without a turret, which would make it look like a tank from history.
There are 3 more constraction figures coming out in 2017
Does anyone remember the Tie Advanced from X-wing vs. Tie Fighter the video game?
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE/ad_starfighter
I would love to see that made.
I want to like that TIE, but it looks like it's about to start flapping it's wings and flutter away.
The tie striker looks like a two wing fury interceptor
I really want to see this TIE made into a set. XD
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_Experimental_M1
I just love these designs and the new minifigures! The prices are reasonable for the most part as well (except for you all in the EU), however the U-Wing and TIE Striker prices are ea. about 15.00 too high IMO. Still can't wait to pick these up though. Now if only I had the cash, btw does anyone want to buy a small 2 bedroom house in St. Albans West Virginia? Two mortgages, plus daycare, is killing my Lego budget!
These all look great to me!
Thx Richpepperal
Daaang. The vehicles are all solid, but goodness those figs are absolutely insane...
Love how Krennic's shuttle is sort of a mashup of the original Imperial Shuttle and Kylo Ren's shuttle. Can't wait for September 30th to pick one up!
I would buy the Tie Striker just for the Shore-Trooper. I've never heard of Shore-Troopers before this.
^^Yeah, hopefully those new guys AND the Death Troopers will be in the winter Rogue One battle pack.
I have a feeling all of the "generic" rebel soldiers appearing in the sets are going to be part of Jyn's strike team in the film. Hopefully they won't be redshirts and will survive long enough for us to actually have some character personality to attach to their minifigs.
Does anyone know what those grey tubes on the end of the Rebel soldier's blasters are supposed to be?
@Dalek135 They're probably just barrel extensions. Or they're there to make them a little more movie accurate. Or to make them cooler. Or they're just there because they can be. :)
@BrickyMcBrick I love those new tank pilots. Them, the Shore Troopers, and the Death Troopers would make an awesome battle pack.
That AT-ST looks super cool
It's been a while since we've had a new one,
but I would love to see a new T-65 X-Wing too
AT-ST is must have (I waited a long time for it). The TIE striker is a brilliant model and Krennic's Imperial Shuttle too. From buildable figures is K-2SO my favourite.
PS: Sorry for my English. I'm from Europe.
The lore says that a lot of "originality" of the spaceship design in the original Star Wars was due to the fact that the FX team scavenged the parts for their spaceships at the local junkyard. Looking at these ugly designs feels like SW is really back to the roots.. :)
AT-ST is the only exception, but I like AT-DP more, to be honest..
Product videos are on lego.com
I love Krennic's shuttle, the Tie Striker, and the Hovertank!
The brick-built sets look pretty good. Nice geometry and cool figures.
We Need A At-Act
There are three sets I really like in this series.... so very happy.
The AT-ST looks phenomenal, and from the pictures I have seen it looks good on the inside too. The shelter of Krennic´s shuttle looks cool with its pyramid-look, but the inside except for the cockpit is awful. At least I will pick up the AT-ST, maybe the others if they are discounted. Looking forward to the imperial and rebel battle packs coming up next year though.
Besides the 75155 - Rebel U-Wing Fighter they all look great along with the Minifigures however if I was to choose one of them it would be 75153 - AT-ST Walker, however I don't see myself getting any of them as I don't have any connection with the vehicles. Nevertheless, I give the designers a huge applause for some fantastic designs, it's definitely a much stronger sub-theme than Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
Can't wait till you guys review these.
love the new CCBS thigh armor, it looks like it goes well with the shin armor they made last wave
Great that we're getting a new AT-ST, I will definitely buy that one. The TIE and the Shuttle look kinda cool to me, depending on how they feature in the movie I'll get those as well. The U-Wing looks kinda ugly, will definitely have to see how it fits in the movie before I get that one.
And as always I'll just ignore the big figures, not my kind of LEGO.
Brickset, maybe you could address the outrageous hike in European set prices?
At the current exchange rate, and assuming a sales tax of about 9% (on the steep side for the US), the USD price after taxes would correspond to a similar price in Eur (ex: 29.99*1.09=32.7 USD, which is roughly equivalent to 29.30 Eur). Those sets are often being priced at 39.99€. This means European prices are now routinely 30% more expensive for Europeans. Either Lego is dumping prices in the US to grab market share or we're simply being ripped-off!
Most of them look good (excluding 75119), but I might only get the Hovertank and the AT-ST. The Striker is a little overpriced (just like another set with a TIE this year, looking at you 75150), the U-wing just looks like a gunship which I already have, and Krennic's shuttle is something I could pass.
Love the new sets especially the Death Trooper. Kinda sad that there isn't a AT-ACT even though it's understandable though.
@pedrojpinto
We are getting ripped off in Europe with the RRP for Lego sets. Try and buy them when and where you can get them with a discount.
I am not happy with the prices, nonetheless I like the sets, though I do not know if I will buy them all. All the minifigures are excellent. Of the sets (the builds themselves) I like the Imperial vehicles best. The U-wing, judging from the pics, needs some more 'wing'. Krennic's Shuttle is not the most aesthetically pleasing design (which I don't think is lego's fault), but somehow I think it will be so much fun building that spaceship.
I am afraid that the AT-ST walker just like the Rebels 75083 AT-DP walker does not have posable legs. Which to me is a serious design flaw. Is it too much to ask to give the legs actual ankle, knee, and hip joints so you can pose the walker in a actual walking stance!?
nice but pricey - as expected... just show me the battlepacks and Microfighters. I think there are 4 MFs scheduled so my guess would be U-wing, Tie Striker, Krennic's Shuttle and maybe a re-release / remake of the X-Wing from series 1 - or the Y-wing that comes with the BYOA book as a boxed set.
@The Big Legoski - while I agree about the poseable legs, the fact is that the AT-ST design and the limitations of Lego make it hard to make something that won't tend to collapse under its own weight.
The sets look fantastic!!! That's the first time i want all the sets from the wave (excluding the buildable figs). The U-wing and hoovertank are my top priority. All the minifigs look great and its exciting to see some new brick build weapons. The euro prices are going to drain my wallet, but well its lego. Hope they will host a double VIP points sometime in October as well.
AT-ST for sure. Likin' the troopers in each set. Much better than TFA. Then again, any incarnation of stormtrooper is better than TFA.
Just 22 more days...
Isn't it odd that there are absolutely no stormtroopers in any of these sets???
I find it notable that the Jyn Erso minifig has a a hat instead of hair. We have seen a few pics of her with the helmet (and poncho) on, but every trailer appearance has showed her bareheaded.
However, I don't think we won't get a hairpiece. It seems likely to me that it'll be a bit like Rey in her speeder set--the box showed her wearing her goggles and headwrap, but the set included both the headwrap piece and hair.
(The constraction figure is an entirely different situtation: Lego presumably cannot make accurate female hair like Rey's buns or Jyn's ponytail without it being too protrusive or looking odd, so they just cover it up with a helmet/headwrap.)
@Dalek135: Not really, considering all the new stormtrooper variants we're seeing in this movie. Lego can only give us so many minifigs per set.
@Big Legoski: the set description explicitly states that the AT-ST has moveable legs. Now, granted, this doesn't mean the same thing as "poseable." I agree with joemmo: it's difficult, bordering on impossible, for Lego to make a fully poseable AT-ST that can also stand up under its own weight.
