Anyone else having problems checking out? Lego struggles to keep their site up for any promo events
As of midnight (9am pst) the shop lego site is not accepting my orders. Just leaves me on the processing page.
Not a single Rouge One set available to buy. Good job as always on the web.
Rogue One sets still say "coming soon"
Got through to checkout. Hung up for a while on the page that says Verifying your payment. Finally finished transaction and my Order Status is now In Process. Credit card also has notified that a transaction has taken place. Took longer than normal ordering but went through.
Why do they still say "coming soon?"
Rogue One sets aren't showing up as available yet. 9:21pm California time.
I see all the new Rogue One sets are available on Amazon, at least they know what day it is :)
Yup, buying from Amazon.
So, the sets are still "Coming soon", and Jyn Erso is $30.
Just placed my order through Amazon. :P
Okay Lego.shop you win I'll go to bed and check back tomorrow and order the cheapest set I can to get the Darth Revan promo. Just please, please, please send me a customer satisfaction survey.
(sorry need to vent)
^^^ Jyn Erso is $25.
Placed four identical orders over the last 30-40 minutes, getting multiple errors each time (when viewing the Cart and processing the order). All four seemingly failed to go through. Then suddenly...one confirmation email. Just one. This is completely unacceptable, Lego--you "fix" the frontend of your website recently, but not the underlying backend and hardware? If I get multiple confirmation emails, you're getting an angry review from a dissatisfied customer.
Now, that said...2x VIP Sandcrawler + Revan, yes please!
EDIT: Yep, as expected: the other seemingly "failed" orders are slowly trickling in to my inbox as confirmations...sigh. Customer service, prepare yourself...
^^ I know Jyn is supposed to be, but when I pulled it up, it said it was $30.
Didn't they just launch a new LEGO.com website too? You'd think this wouldn't happen anymore...
Oh well, I'll be making my purchases in-store tomorrow anyway. Fingers crossed they will still have Revan when I get there!
Also took several tries and repeated button presses... But finally got to the long wait on Verifying Payment. It sat there for about seven minutes, then I received an order confirmation email. (The webpage is still sitting on Verifying Payment).
The sets don't even so up available to add to cart for me (California)
so basically, new website skin, same crappy back end
@calirican04 I'm in a completely different time zone, where it's 1:26 AM, and the sets still aren't available.
I hope Revan's not gone by the time I can finally get the Hovertank.
What a bust so far. I guess I'll just head to Toys R Us in a bit.
Why did Lego even make a new website? It's such a fail.
So much lag on the new website. It also won't let me pay with VIP points via the non-existent "dropdown menu", even though it says I have redeemable points. I also got all the way to the end of the order process and it backed me out, claiming it didn't work. Then Paypal sends me an email saying my order has been confirmed.
Yeah I'm getting Revan off BrickLink.
Finally pulled the trigger on the UCS Hoth set - with discounts and cashback equates to £40 off with a free Stormie. Not bad
It's half hour after midnight PST here and I had the same troubles, no rogue one sets available yet, and not putting 2x points on what's in my cart. Haven't tried putting order thru yet cuz i know it's messed up. I'll try later. Was hoping they'd have this fixed but I know they get hit hard on these fancy release days.
At 4:45 AM EDT I placed my order and correctly received my double points, Revan (and Laveria) in my cart, etc. However, I did have a red banner saying "there was an error processing your order" pop up and disappear several times while making the order, and twenty minutes later I am still looking at the "We are processing your order" screen. On the other hand PayPal has paid for the order, and a parallel tab indicates that LEGO.com has received it correctly. As busy days like this go, I'd say the new site is at least a slight improvement over the old one, even if it still has its problems.
After 5 o'clock on the East Coast; all of the Rogue One sets still listed as "Coming Soon", and getting the dreaded "Sorry, Unexpected Error, Contact Customer Service" red banner a lot. Was really ordering to get the early VIP access to the Christmas Train and waited until today to get the 2x points bonus on the Star Wars Advent Calendar and maybe 1-2 of the other Rogue One sets. Ridiculous. Again. Will try again this evening.
But the website is re-designed and supposed to be "better".
4:30 AM Central Time US and no Rogue One set availability yet.
@mr_skinny, wow, how did you manage to get it that low? For £40 it's suddenly a damn good set!
I finally took advantage of my partner's American relatives, and may have secured myself a Revan for Christmas. Assuming the payment goes through.
Sorry for posting all my thoughts on here, but why have the Rogue One sets still not been released? It's been September 30th for almost 6 hours where I live. Oh well. I guess I'll have to give up for now and try to get a little sleep. Hopefully it works in a few hours!
so you can order a $4.99 key chain and get a revan? AWESOME
Thankfully I wasn't ordering any Rogue One sets because they still say coming soon. I ordered the Rebel Combat Frigate and everything looked ok on the order so submitted it. I got the red banner and the order processing thing is still going, but after a few minutes emails came through saying order received and went through, so there ya go. Good luck to all, happy Force Friday!
Their horrible new site won't even load for me.
I gather from this fiasco it will be even worse tonight/tomorrow when double VIP points kick in? This problem with Lego's website not functioning during popular promotions has been ongoing for years and they still refuse to resolve the underlying issue.
I'm just glad they don't have the same quality in their products as they do their website.
I was able to add the new Star Wars Advent Calendar to my bag, which added the promotional Revan as well. Unfortunately, when I went to checkout, the site displayed an error message, instructing me to contact Customer Service (which isn't currently open). I attempted to place the order anyway, and received a second error message with the same instructions. However, when I returned to my bag, the items were no longer in it. Did I successfully place an order or not?! Why does the most profitable toy company on earth have such an atrocious website?
This is rather incompetent of them, isn't it... guess I'll be ordering my AT-ST through Amazon...
My last post was 7 hours ago and I see you still can't order any of the Rogue One sets. Apparently the combination of new sets, Darth Revan available for one day only and free shipping brought out all the eBay re-sellers. I guess I'll head to the Cincinnati store to see if I can get what I want there.
My prediction is by the end of the day there will be disappointed customers that were unable to get a Darth Revan because he's sold out to people placing multiple orders. And if that's the case the blame is squarely on Lego.
Just not me then. Ordered the advent calendar twice with same error message. Afraid to try again for fear they will all go through. Maybe this is their way of saying they ran out of Darth Revans.
If you aren't bitching about this on social media, no one cares.
The site says that they aren't even available to me! It says that they are "Coming Soon". So frustrating.
AT-ST available on Amazon right now for $32.82 plus Free shipping for Prime Members.
Ordered.......I think. Site sat on "Processing" for some time, I hit F5 to refresh and it came back to an empty cart. But my account is charged and now I have a pending order in Order Status. We will see........
Update, now have an order confirmation email as well. Including Revan!
I tried placing an order last night and I ended up getting to the order processing screen. I waited a good 10 minutes and it was still processing before I refreshed the page. I got back to the order processing screen again and just left it on the screen and went to bed. It was still processing as of this morning, but I had 2 order confirmation emails. Just called customer service to cancel one, but since they were already in the warehouse, I was unable to cancel either. I did receive 300 bonus VIP points for the trouble and have a FedEx shipping label in order to ship one back free of charge. A bit of a pain overall, but I got what I wanted + 300 additional VIP points.
I had the same issue. The first time I tried to check out I got an error. I then tried again using a different web browser and the transaction got hung up. Finally, I refreshed the page and my order disappeared. I checked my bank account and it looks like the transaction did go through. I also got a confirmation email from Lego about an hour later. Hope everything does turn out ok :(
Just placed the Death Star in my cart...,and no Revan. Is it out already?!?
I placed 2 orders about 15 minutes ago. Both pages still say processing however got an email confirming one of the orders was received.
Went to try again just to see and Revan figure is not being added to cart so must be Out of Stock.
porch_13... thanks for the head's up, I just went and ordered 2 of them. Curious why that's the only one that's way below list price.
Must be out of Revan, as nothing is showing up in my cart, and there's no indication the promo even existed. Also, the Rogue One sets still show up as Coming Soon for me.
The Rogue One sets seem to have gone from "Coming Soon" to "Backorder" almost immediately. I ordered a non-Rogue One set at 6am EST and was able to get the Dark Revan minifig added. Looks like they are all gone now.
Sooooo... Lego waited until they ran out of Darth Revan and THEN made the Rogue One sets available? Brutal.
@ Miamibear... I think they price matched Walmart who also has it for $32.82. Walmart has the U-Wing for $68+free shipping too.
Talked to a rep....they are all out of Revan Minifigures.
Just attempted to place an order but no Revan minifigure appeared in my cart. Came here to check, and upon reading the comments above, I see they're out of stock. No Revan? No sale.
I talked to a rep also and they are out of Revan...she said they're not going to do midnight releases anymore on newer sets. So I waited all night for the newer sets to pop up so that I can place my order and by doing that I missed out on the Revan figure.
all of the Revan figs gone, and almost all of the battlepacks sold out as well. I wonder what the most popular order was last night XD
I'm still showing all of the Rogue One sets as "coming soon". Weird. Fortunately my 2 orders seem to have gone through, even though they both hung on the "processing" page overnight. Wow.
That being said, as crazy as the site was and as quickly as they ran out of Revan polybags, it was a super cool promo, and a nice surprise for those of us who missed out on the Revan promo on May the 4th.
Meh. No Darth Revan; I've lost the will to live! Oh well, the price at Amazon is good on the AT-ST. Guess I'll get that.
I was able to successfully order an Imperial Battlefront Battle Pack and get Revan last night at 10:00pm MST. I am happy since I missed out on the first Revan release! There were quite a few bugs on Lego's site, but everything did come through eventually.
No Revan, no dice. Even the double VIP points thing is a dim consolation. I guess this is what I get for being greedy and thinking I needed a second Revan mini-figure "just in case".
Funny how Lego updated the site looks but failed to stabilize its site for events such as this one. Glad I already have a Darth Revan minifigure (even if it was $75) as that leaves me with the space open to get the Advent Calendar.
Also came here to confirm there is no more Revan figure. That's too bad. I definitely don't need anything bad enough then without the promo.
I was wondering why they weren't putting it in my cart. I am guessing they had "some" leftover, but not a whole other production run, so they probably ran out pretty quickly anyway. Plus, as you can notice ALL of the cheap SW sets are backordered, so the Revans went quickly.
Who wants to guess the aftermarket price won't be going down at all either??
As of 10:59am Eastern Time [US], all Rogue One sets are available and I had no issues buying. But sadly no Darth Revan. :( I have one from an older May the 4th, but would have loved a "backup".
EDIT: I also got double VIP points.
Well those went fast. Glad I Managed to pick Revan up at my local LEGO Store instead.
What?! The USA doesn't get triple points?! That's discrimination!
(Okay, I'm done.)
NO REVAN!! He's no longer available!! Which really stinks!
The lack of Darth Revan isn't a huge deal to me, I all ready have one. But might have been nice. Got a free Ultimate Lavaria instead, which a slightly better deal because I all ready paid one and don't need another. I really wanted the double points on a few recent Star Wars items. Everything I was looking was in stock and the site seem to be running fine.
I phoned lego after my order was placed asking why Darth Revan wasn't showing. As everyone has already written, out of stock. They offered my Admiral Yularen instead.
I just hope for everyone of the complaints here you all sent in one to Lego. Not that it will change much but there certainly isn't much Brickset can do and hopefully just maybe someone at Lego will listen.
I've been anxiously waiting for force friday for months. Revan's already sold out and the Hovertank still says "coming soon." This is extremely frustrating to me.
Ended up just going to the nearest Lego Store to get the Rogue One sets and Darth Revan. Tried to save time on the site but it never worked for me.
Is Revan removed from the promotionals?
Kind of disappointed that they're out of Revan minifigs. Double VIP points are nice but I did want the Revan figure. My girls are still getting the Advent calendar; not gonna stop me from buying that!
I made the 1 hour trip to the Cincinnati Lego store with my wife and bought the hovertank and TIE Striker so I was able to get a Darth Revan. I feel sorry for the people who didn't get Darth but boy Lego royally screwed up this promotion.
I woke up at 6am PST today to try and get a Darth Revan figure, didn't get it. Pretty disappointed with Lego. For such a large, popular promotion you would think they'd have made more available.
Reading through this thread and seeing that some people placed multiple orders and got multiple Revans makes me more sad. Who knows if some of us would have gotten one if those orders weren't placed?
Maybe next time :( I wrote to Lego support expressing my disappointment, though nothing will probably come of it.
So, just out of curiosity, who in Canada went to a physical LEGO Store and got Revan? Because, I was there right at opening this morning, paid for my Resistance X-Wing Microfighter and then was told that if I didn't receive an e-mail or post card I wasn't getting a Revan figure.
Not that I'm completely bummed, I got an order in around 6AM and Revan will/should be coming with that, but I was hoping to get a second one to potentially trade for Plastic Man or a past Minifig promo that I missed. Now it seems that I am, unfortunately, left with nothing but to wait and hope Revan will be in my small order from this morning.
^That's messed up. Email or postcard NOT required!
I went to the store at Somerset Mall in Michigan. Plenty of Revan Figures still left there. Although the shop people hadnt even built the new sets yet. Come on!
What a horribly botched launch. The promo minifig was gone hours before the new sets were even available for purchase?
Ridiculous.
The Rogue One sets now say " add to bag" on the U.S. LEGO.com.
At least they did when I checked.
@jaitheartist, well if that is the case then I am quite displeased. I mean if you don't want to give a free item for qualifying then I can only assume that with my unshaven and frumpy looking spring/fall jacket I appeared to be a scalping creep and so was denied completely because I just spent 14$ on a Microfighter and so shouldn't be allowed to get the item in question. My order better include Revan when it ships or I am going to have extremely choice words. I think I may have to fill out the customer survey and express my displeasure.
You know what, double VIP points on EVERYTHING (not just Star Wars) starting tomorrow, plus you get the free calendar, so screw this, I'm waiting. Basically all the crap people were put through for a single minifig today.
And I'll still get to go to a LEGO store on my birthday!
Still plenty of Revan in Baltimore, MD. Picked up a Hovertank and Dr. Who set was on sale.
Was able to get one by going to the Lego store near me. I could only get one tho, so kinda disappointed I didn't buy one online at midnight.
I've heard too many horror stories about the LEGO website. Got my Star Wars advent calendar at my local LEGO Store after work today. They apparently still had many Revans left.
I was told today at the Lego store they would ship any leftover Revan's back. I personally find this hard to believe. What do you believe?
Free shipping made it easier for people to make multiple orders, if they could. I was fortunate to get my order in last night.
I went to the Lego store, San Francisco after work but they said they ran out of Revans really early in the day. They did have all of the Rogue One sets available.
I'll probably offer feedback to shop.lego.com about how this promotion went – slow website, people getting errors at verification, not having the Rogue One sets available but giving the Revan GWP anyway, lots of unhappy/disappointed people. I'll wait to see if my Revan shows up in the mail before submitting that though.
Wife went to Lego store for me today, and picked up all the new Rogue One vehicle sets, got my double points, and the Darth Revan minifig with zero problems. I must say it really is a blessing to have a Lego store in my home town here in Oregon. I really love our local Lego store; staff is great and they even helped my wife select the proper sets and carried them up to the check out for her.
I wonder if any Lego B&M stores are still giving Revan today (if they have leftovers). Would be nice to be able to get Revan, the Brick calendar AND double points with purchase of >$99.
I ended up going to Toys R Us and buying the Hovertank, so I got a free FO general and a poster instead. Still not as good as Revan, but not bad. :)
Yeah, LEGO screwed up this whole Go Rogue thing.
I checked the site at 21:01 Pacific Time (00:01 Eastern, where LEGO Enfield is), and the Rogue One sets showed as "coming soon". I checked again at 00:01 Pacific (03:01 Eastern) and same story. I gave up and went to bed.
I checked at 08:30 Pacific (11:30 Eastern) and the sets were finally available, but the site added a Nexo Knights Lavarian minifigure instead of Darth Revan. I cancelled my order and went to work. I'll stop by a LEGO Store today and see what I can get.
SpidermanLM339: At Toys'R'Us, you don't get the F.O. General if you only buy the Hovertank. The Hovertank is $29.99 and you have to spend $30 and up for the free minifig. That's why I got the AT-ST. :)
Maybe your Hovertank was marked up? :)
Darth Revan Ran Out :(
@Odeinoichus: I went to Sherway Mall in Toronto a half hour after the LEGO store opened. There had been a run on Rogue One sets, but they had plenty and were restocking. My SO and I both received Revans with separate purchases of sets, no questions asked.
I can say that the clerk told me they were leftovers from a prior promo and that she didn't think she'd have enough to make it through the morning.
A gentleman buying a Ghostbusters set ahead of me inquired about the promo, but was told he needed a Star Wars set, which he didn't care to do. At the least they were policing that requirement.
