Johnny Five and Fossil Museum!
What can be discounted straight away: Jedi council chamber, Jurassic Park visitor centre, rolling BB8.
What I'd like to win: Fossil museum, fishing store or Johnny 5
What I think will win: Johnny 5
Ooh, a nice little contest thingie!
I'm going to guess on just the Fossil Museum :)
Well I'll throw my hand in! Fossil museum.
Love the fishing store and Johnny 5.
I'll guess as well! Sadly I Think that none of them will be picked!
I PREDICT THAT NONE WILL WIN
I ll take a bold guess on the modular train station...
Unfortunately None will win and I see Polarbomber beat me to the comment!
My guess is fishing store in an upset.
Fossil Museum and Johnny Five.
I'd love for the Jurassic Park set to get through though, really like the fine detail.
Gingerbread House and Johnny Five to be selected.
Old Fishing Store. Even though I am not the first to vote for it!
Particle Accelerator will win.
Fossil musseum and Modular Train Station. They need a new modular and fossil musseum will attract great attention.
I am gonna go with visitor center (would love to see that and other gueses are taken)
Guessing could be BB-8.
5 are potential sets I'd buy, so I hope (or rather my bank account) that one of the other four wins.
I think just the Old Fishing Store will get made.
Particle Accelerator is my best guess.
I'm going to go with just Johnny 5 (but I'd buy a rolling BB-8 in a heartbeat)
I hope the modular train station will win!!Tho probably will be Jonny 5????
If one is going to be chosen, my money's on the Particle Accelerator... otherwise my guess is that none will be chosen.
I'm going to go with Johnny Five
Johnny Five
I'd be shocked if Jedi council, JP visitor centre of the BB8 get through. The fossil museum is nice and might hit the right price point, as would Johnny 5, though not sure he quite has the pulling power of other licenses, and perhaps a bit too similar to wall-e? Fishing shop is also a great looking build, but would have to be heavily changed to make it through, so I'd rather they didn't.
Final guess... I'll go out on a limb and say fossil museum.
I'll go "science" themed and guess the Fossil Museum and particle accelerator.
I say Fossil Museum only. But I'm not the first :P
Either nothing will win, or the Particle Accelerator will, but both have already been guessed!
I have a feeling that there will be no winner this time...
I'd guess none will win really. Not that I'll win anything with that prediction anymore.
I wouldn't mind the fishing store; but most likely, if any at all, might be the museum or the accelerator.
Boy, would that fishing store make a fantastic parts pack, not that the model isn't cool in itself of course
Yeah, I reckon they'd be silly not to turn fossil museum into a set, but can't really see anything else making it. Fishing Store is lovely but it would be difficult to market. Other sets are too big, too licensed, etc.
Fossil Museum and Particle Accelerator as an outside bet.
Johnny Five & Particle Accelerator
Only cos its not been said :)
I supported Johnny Five; the Jedi Council Chamber; and Jurassic Park Visitor's Center.
I hope that Johnny Five wins!
And Johnny Five was around well before Wall-E ever was. And even though the Wall-E design team never cited Johnny Five from Short Circuit as part of the inspiration for the way that Wall-E looks ---- it's been quite evident in Wall-E's eyes, and part of his means of getting around.
As for the Jedi Council Chamber and Jurassic Park Visitor's Center, at least knowing which bricks & pieces would be needed to make them would be nice. Since they were set up really well, too.
I'd really like it to be the gingerbread house, train station or fishing store. No interest in the others.
Vote for BB8 and Johnny Five.
As much as I would like to see another JP set I thinks its going to be the Gingerbread house and Fossil museum.
I hope for Johnny 5. I dont think any houses get it. There has been no houses selected yet.
But like the gingerbread house also.
Johnny5 will win. The others will get discarted.
I will say fishing house.
I really like that one, but I feel like Johnny Five or the fossil museum will win.
I think that it will be the Johnny 5 :)
Come onnnn Gingerbread House!
I'd love for the Jurassic Park set to win, just for the minifigures, but I have a strong feeling it won't.
I'd like to see the fishing store as an official LEGO Ideas set. Can't wait to see the results!
Particle accelerthingy. It just has an 'Ideas' look to it. And it looks and sounds great while running.
The gingerbread house and fishing shack are awesome looking and I'd like to see both of those released too! I'm not keen on J5, Wall-e was much better looking.
Particle smasher wotsit FTW!
The only one that I would be interested in buying is Johnny Five so I hope it wins.
Pass:
Johnny five
Old fishing store
Fishing store, Johnny 5. I don't know who the latter is, but the model looks like exactly the sort of thing they would produce through Ideas.
I have no idea what will be among the ones which move ahead (is there a max number they will allow through or is it as many or as few as they think will do best?)
For me it comes down to ones I could see me buying myself; Johnny Five, Modular Train Station, Old Fishing Store and the Gingerbread House though the last one I think would be best suited being released this time next year in time for Christmas 2017.
going by previous winners I think it will be the Fossil Museum!
Although I would like to see the Modular Train station or Old Fishing store win but history says it ain't going to happen.
Pass:
Old Fishing Store (by robenanne)
jurassic park & Johnny five
For what it's worth: going by recent experiences with Lego Ideas review results I predict that NONE of them will be chosen (again).
Nevertheless I would love the Fishing Store and Johnny 5 to be chosen. Day one purchases for me.
I would love to see them all be made, but my top ones would be Johnny 5, Fossil Museum, and the Gingerbread house
Only one that looks good is Johnny Five, the others are either to big and complex or just not interesting.
I think Particle Accelerator, or Gingerbread house will win. I would love to see the Jedi Council, or the Visitors center win, but unfortunately, these will most likely be passed by.
I'd have thought the Particle Accelerator and particularly Johnny 5 stood a good chance. But Johnny 5 is perhaps too similar in theme to Wall-e?
Gingerbread and Fossil!
the Old Fishing Store (by robenanne) gets my vote, excellent detail.
The old fishing store! That one looks great and it's not a licensed build.
And probably the fossil museum.
I would like to see the Fishing Store not only win but be the first in a series comprising all the creations by robenanne. They are some of the best that I have seen.
However I am not sure any will be selected but I do have my fingers crossed.
Gingerbread House and Johnny-5
My guess is: Fossil Museum, Old Fishing Store and Johnny Five.
Please fishing store and gingerbread house
Johnny 5. Hands down the best of the lot. Probably BB-8 if they choose a second one.
I predict one only will be selected: Particle Accelerator (by JKBrickworks)
There are a few more I would love to see selected and would definitely buy, but I don't think they will make it.
.... now I have read the comments, I am surprised how popular my prediction is!
None of them will win
It's not like it's never happened before
Particle accelerator and fishing store.
Just because no-on else has done it and there's a very small, outside chance (given other decisions made and sets issued this year) I predict that they'll choose all nine sets to be made. That's how much I want a Brickset minifigure!
I'd really like Johnny5 to win but won't be surprised if this is a no win round
please Johnny5!! just change those hands :)
Particle accelerator and Johnny 5
Fossil museum and fishing store for me.
I would love a Gingerbread House for my Winter Village! Though I will place my bet on the Johnny 5 project.
I am leaning towards thinking none get accepted. Based on the size of previous ideas sets I would guess Fossil Museum or Johnny Five.
Personally I would buy any of Fossil Museum, Jedi Council, Train Station and Johnny Five
Okay second try as somehow my comment was sent out to no mans land.
My personal favourites would be Gingerbread House, Old Fishing Store, and Particle Accelerator. However I think the more likely candidates might be Fossil Museum and Johnny Five.
@Merian Would be awesome if they worked with the creator of the Old Fishing Store to make all those builds a theme in itself however unlikely I think that is to happen. I really do enjoy them.
Johnny 5 and Fishing Store are my predictions to pass
I'd be surprised if Gingerbread House passed, they only just had one of those last Christmas. This is obviously bigger but still, I think the moment passed.
Maybe the Particle Accelerator will be done in by its own particle acceleration, LEGO could easily see that as "unsafe" I think, espcially when bits start colliding and flying off all over the place.
I think Johnny 5 has the best chance of being produced. I am also going to go out on a limb (as I'm sure that my submission has already been chosen :P) that they will also produce the modular train station as a celebration for the tenth year of the Modular Building line. The size seems to match a few rumors that are floating around out there (albeit these rumors have very little information to go off of and so should be taken with a grain of salt), and it would seem like an interesting marketing strategy to celebrate such a beloved line with a fan designed model that already has proven itself to have a strong, loyal backing to the design concept. Again, this is just hopeful speculation, but it may be right! (also, if anyone else already posted this, sorry. I am writing this quickly on my way out and did not have time to look through all the comments! :)
Fossil Museum, Particle Accelerator, and Johnny Five – a long shot, but something that hasn't been guessed yet
Jonny Five (I certainly hope so anyway)
Fossil Museum
BB8
I guess nothing will make it.
Jedi Council, BB-8 and JP Visitor Center are licences LEGO already uses, so an Ideas set is unlikely.
Johnny 5 is too similar to Wall-E, the Train Station won't make it because LEGO probably doesn't do modulars as Ideas sets, the play value of the particle accelerator might be a little too low, the Fishing store probably has too many parts, and while the Fossil museum would fit in really great, my guess is that they'll say "we've done that with the research lab set".
And they have a much smaller Gingerbread house set already (although they gave it away as a promotion and don't sell it) and probably think it's too focused on a particular season in a year.
I suspect none will pass.
Johnny 5 and Particle Accelerator.
Given the hype from Lego on FB I'd be surprised if nothing is chosen.
Fossil Museum + Fishing Store are the ones I see coming out of this.
I'd love to see Rolling BB8! but it's just not gonna happen. I will vote for old fishing house instead.
It's going to be the gingerbread house.
Fossil Museum and Johnny Five
I'm going with either Johnny five or the particle accelerator. The Jedi Council is unlikely, but I'd love to see it come to fruition.
Johnny Five and the Particle Accelerator are the ones that are most likely to win this round.
But I really doubt if even those will go through; the Particle Accelerator has a very limited fanbase, only adults, and Johnny Five is only recognizable for 30+ people :-) I don't know if that ticks all of the boxes Lego wants for its own products.
Everything has already been guessed, so no minifig for me...... (I hope the museum wins)
I hope Johnny 5 wins.
I would *like* to see the fossil museum approved - I think though that Lego's view of how successful the female scientist set from a while ago was may shape this, as one of the vignettes in there was a dinosaur skeleton (and it was cool!)
Some of these are lovely builds, but just can't see them hitting the buttons for Lego in their Ideas programme - Lego surely wouldn't want to compete with their own developed modulars for the 'really nicely designed buidling to buy this year' slot would they?
I don't really feel that any of the others have enough broad appeal to get through. And I'm getting a bit bored of ideas surfing a wave of 80s nostalgia - Short Circuit feels like it's scraping the bottom of the barrel a little I'm afraid (I'm hoping that the existence of the WALL-E ideas set - which subject matter aside is not entirely dissimilar - will knock this one on the head anyway).
I'd like to see the Gingerbread House get selected, as well as Johnny 5 and Rolling BB-8. Unfortunately, I don't see any of those happening. Everything else - while fantastic, I also don't think will happen - either too many pieces or rehashes of things we've seen elsewhere.
I'm honestly anxious for the next review period to start (and finish). Bring on Voltron!
I'll be optimistic and guess museum and visitor center. It'd be weird to have 2 dinosaur things pass, though.
I am hoping the gingerbread house will be approved, but I think the Robot or the Particle Accellerator have a better chance.
I do not think nothing will be, because to announce results are coming and then have it be nothing, would be weird.
Bb-8 and the fishing store...because, well, nobody has said those in combo.
The Train Station and Fishing Store are really nice MOCs, but stand no chance, due to size. BB-8, Jedi Council Chamber and JW Visitor Centre won't get through, due to them being licensed. The Gingerbread House is too similar to the previous one, while Johnny Five is too similar to WALL-E.
The remaining two are both science-related, so I'd guess they're unlikely to pass both, however, both look very interesting. I'd love to play with the Particle Accelerator and I'd love to display the Fossil Museum.
As for which will actually pass? I'm plumping for the Fossil Museum.
Winner will be gingerbread house
Well I got to put a vote in. ''Johnny Five''
Fishing store it is!
Hurray, Fishing store!! I'll definitely buy that one!
A nice contest; I'll go for either not a single project or Jhonny Five.
WhatI want to win: Jurassic Park Visitor Center, Old Fishing House or Modular Train Station.
Competition closed: congratulations bumblepants!
And Huw goes in fast making sure none of us get smart after reading the official announcement, posted my comment a few seconds too early…
Come on fossil museum!! If it wins I'm buying 4... one for each of my kids and one to hold onto for 20 years :-)
Wow! Pleasantly surprised! It'll be interesting to see what TLG make of this and release.
Really pleasantly surprised ... didn't figure the Fishing Store would be the one to get through approval at all. Very nice!
Yes that's a surprise, but a very welcome one, definitely going on the must have list. Can't see any of the next batch passing - but always open to surprises :-)
:( I wanted Johnny 5 to win.
Nice one Lego! Might look good next to a Monster Fighters Haunted House...
Wasn't expecting that.
Short circuit is one of my favorite movies! Why didn't Johnny five win?!?!
If I could only choose one I would absolutely pick the old fashion store. It's unique and beautifully done. Using Lego parts but still looks so different and so well done. It truly stands out and makes me happy. I would gladly buy, build and love it. I do also really like the Jurassic Park visitor center because it's a fantastic movie, but I can imagine it would be a high price point which makes it harder for me to afford. It does look like a Lego product for sure. I would still have to pick the old fashion store FOR SURE!!
