The North American December 2016 LEGO Brand Store calendar has been made available to view and the free gift for that month is now known to be 5005156 Gingerbread Man.

You may recognize the minifig from Collectable Minifigures Series 11 in 2013. While yes, the minifig itself is the same, this one unfortunately goes without the red 'Dunk me!' mug. However, if you missed out on the original release of the minifig, you may want to grab a copy of this one. Like earlier this year's 5004468 Iconic Easter, it comes with a cardboard box for the figure.

5005156 will be available with purchases of $50 or more from December 12-18, 2016, in-store or online at shop.LEGO.com. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Neato burrito.

I found the Easter minfig at Toys-R-Us, I wonder if this guy will pop up there too.

Oh look, yet another re-release. Quite the recurring theme this year; what is going on?

^ I wouldn't complain this time - it's a free minifigure...

By in Puerto Rico,

This made me hungry, wonder if I will order anything by December as I am only interested in pieces and the next wave of RO sets.

YES!

By in United States,

I'm glad for this as it's a pretty spendy minifigure these days and will go perfectly with the gingerbread house from last year.

By in United States,

I'm happy to have a chance to get this guy, as I wasn't yet back into LEGO when he was available. Sure am glad I didn't already spend a bunch of money for him. While I agree that this Minifig doesn't equal last year's Gingerbread House, I'm still more disappointed that the 2017 LEGO Wall Calendar doesn't have any coupons.

Sorry if this is off topic.
I noticed you added a set based off the Disney movie "Moana" to the database, is there an announcement article coming for that?

Weren't the last few years' free items a full set? This year we just get one re-released minifigure?

By in Australia,

They're hardly "collectible" minifigures if TLG just keeps re-releasing all the good ones.

By in Ireland,

They're hardly re-releasing "all the good ones", there are Many Many good ones... :P Plus, "collectable minifigures" or CMFs is the name we collectors have given them, the theme is actually just called "LEGO Minifigures", series whatever. ;)

I'm with @jaitheartist - this will look great with the gingerbread house from last year.

By in United States,

Disappointing, why don't they rerelease a figure from way, way back, something that would be more appealing to more people?

By in United States,

I love when people complain about releases when we have had like two sets released in the last 10 years and a few released mini figures as give aways. If people don't want some Star Wars Raven rerelease then maybe they wouldn't have run out in 6 hours.

I am looking forward to the release easter bunny in 2017. I only have one and he's outrageously expensive.

By in France,

I bought this minifig few months ago to put in on shelves with gingerbread house for Christmas period. It was expensive! Today it's given for free. Good for lot of customers but I would prefer to get an additional small winter set offered instead of this fig. :/
However, I will spend some money to the nearest store to get mine! This minifigs is a "must have"! :)

@Huw,
According to the UK store catalogue linked above there's a "Free Lego Star Wars Rebel A-Wing Pilot for an Start Wars purchase of £25" from 11-31/12 too.
