Halloween set revealed in Easter instructions

Posted by ,

LegoLeroy on Eurobricks has found this year's Easter seasonal set, 40237 in his local brand store.

As is usual for seasonal sets, an image of the next one can be found at the back of the instructions, in this case for Halloween, which I'm assuming will be numbered 40238.

It's quite unusual in that behind the gates it's using a forced perspective technique to render a silhouette of a haunted house in front of a sunset. I quite like it...

Pretty darn cool! Is that lavender colored foliage?

Looks neat, not a big fan of the silhouette of the haunted house though. Might buy if it goes on sale.

Has that minifig torso (the one with the pocket watch, not the ribs) been in any other sets? I don't recognise it.

There's some nice parts in that - the pumpkin, spider, orange minifig head, cat, skeleton, I might have to get this one.

Decent parts pack. Not big on Halloween, but I can appreciate the attempt at the forced perspective!

Really sweet though a little random set. I see dozens of useful pieces.

That looks truly great. So far I love all of the seasonal sets of this year. They are much better than last years sets!

So no extra seasonal sets between April and October... Why?

By in United States,

I really dig it. Will have to get all of them this year.

@parsom: I guess there are no holidays worth commemorating in Lego during that time.

@Parsom, what kind of seasonal theme can be done for march to september? They could do a summer ser, but with the new beach hut and the upcoming 'fun at the beach' set that seems unlikely.

That's one of the best little seasonal dioramas I've seen! Love the pumpkin, and the forced perspective thing is cool!

April Fools' Day
Children's Day - in many countries in June
Mother's Day - in most countries around May
Father's Day - May/June
International Workers' Day or Labor Day (May or September)

And start of summer vacations - mostly in June/July. For children one of the most important days in the year.

Don't tell me that Valentines are more important than Mother's Day.

I like this year's outdoor theme better than the brick-built animals and characters, but I like the 2015 (mostly) indoors vignettes better.

@wwward and @Sir Brickalot - Any bets that it's actually representing a bloodshot eyeball?

By in United Kingdom,

I like this. Especially because it is using a fabuland cooking pot!

By in Australia,

I'm not keen on the forced perspective part, but I like that they're trying (and these sets are an improvement over last year's, no mistake).
