Ouch........these are pretty expensive with 3 sets probably above $100 USD. Hopefully those prices will be worth it :)
I like the fact that they are targeting higher price points, which should coincide with more substantial and complete builds as opposed to half walls and tiny vehicles.
Of course, we will have to wait and see the final results
I hope one is a star destroyer or Luke's Island
I hope there's not another Millennium Falcon with a slightly different radar dish
my guess... the last 2 sets are prob the revised AT-AT and ISD .
Well there's probably gonna be a new star destroyer and at-at because there is a lot of sets over a hundred pounds. I think the £29.99 set will be a playset with Rey and Luke training on his island which could possibly connect to a larger set like a new Jedi temple
so, there's bound to be a tie, an xwing and a falcon in there somewhere...
I haven't even seen the sets yet and I can already tell they're overpriced.
The $150 set better be a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer aka The Finalizer.
Thankfully I am not buying into this movie sets. Now for the final season of SW Rebels I may get one or two.
for the last two star wars films, the first two waves have been primarily ships. Im guessing this will also happen with TLJ as a playset based sets will give away too much of the plot. Maybe they will release playlet based sets in spring 2018 after the film has been released
Interesting to see there's another bigger constraction set coming. It's great that they finally have a €19.99 constraction set again. All the figures from the last two waves have been 30 euros where I live, regardless of whether they were big or complex enough to justify the price or not.
I hope to see a set of Luke's island.
Ouch... That's quite expensive. I'm fine with some expensive sets, but as someone who doesn't have hundreds of dollars to spend on LEGO i'll probably only manage to get one or two sets.
As for the buildable figures I'm pretty intrigued. I'd imagine there might be an old Luke, a new Rey, possibly somebody like General Hux, and who knows, maybe the $34.99 set will be Snoke?
BUT NO PICS!!!
LEGO Star Wars 75176 (The Last Jedi) – 39,99 € Skimmer ?
LEGO Star Wars 75177 (The Last Jedi) – 59,99 € Ahch-To Playset ?
LEGO Star Wars 75179 (The Last Jedi) – 79,99 € First Order TIE Bomber ?
LEGO Star Wars 75187 (The Last Jedi) – 99,99 € No idea (but surely Resistence Ship) ?
LEGO Star Wars 75188 (The Last Jedi) – 109,99 € Nebulon B inspired ship ?
LEGO Star Wars 75189 (The Last Jedi) – 139,99 € First Order AT-AT ?
LEGO Star Wars 75190 (The Last Jedi) – 149,99 € First Order Star Destroyer ?
Ugh, prices for Lego licenses are sky rocketing lately...
LEGO Star Wars 75526 - €19.99 - Old Luke ?
LEGO Star Wars 75528 - €24.99 - First Order Trooper (alternative) ?
LEGO Star Wars 75529 - €24.99 - Chewbacca ?
LEGO Star Wars 75530 - €34.99 - Snoke ?
I know for a fact that one of those is a FO AT-AT.
^^Just wondering how you know. Asking because I am kicking myself for not getting the AT-AT when I saw it last on clearance (silly me... I had to use my money on groceries :-P) and now seriously considering paying the eBay or BL prices. But if that's true, I will wait.
^I, for one, am only sticking to the OT sets (so sad if the Tie Bomber and the AT-AT return as Sequel Trilogy only sets, although my wallet will be glad ;P) but to each their own.
It would be easy to assume that the Resistance (or at least on their side) skimmers are the cheapest set, whilst at least one of the buildable figures is likely to be a FO stormtrooper variant or flametrooper. I haven't heard anyone say yet whether the larger constraction set might be Chewie (or possibly old Luke) - don't know how they would execute a Wookiee well though.
I'm crossing my fingers that none of the remaining sets are conventional TIE fighters, X-Wings or the Millenium Falcon. Hopefully that most expensive one is one of the unusually shaped large Resistance blockade ships seen at the end of the trailer.
Hopefully we won't have a rerun of the Snowspeeder, where it gets edited out of the film almost totally so it's hard to recognise it. I'm almost certain that all these sets will be ships or land vehicles though - as said above, they don't give away the plot so much, hence why Battle on Takodana and Battle on Scarif didn't come out til January respectively as playsets.
I'm hoping- PRAYING- that one of the £100+ sets is a Playset/location-based set. Though I do like spaceships, we just don't get enough good large Star Wars playsets.
I also love the amount of big sets, I'm really hyped for Force Friday now!!!
I REALLY hope they do a large play set like the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull temple.
Kylo Ren supposedly has a new elite Tie variant for Episode 8, so I would not be surprised to see that show up as one of these sets.
Google "Kylo Ren's Tie Fighter" and you can see some leaked/concept images that are floating around online (there's not many but it will give you an idea anyway).
Like the first wave of TWA : really expensive. Like others , i hope we get the Finalizer and not a little spacecraft with a horrible price pro part ratio.
I wonder if the shuttle we can see in the new Battlefront II trailer will ever become a set, maybe even in this wave.
The £140 one will be a first order star destroyer, the £130 one will be a first order walker, the £100 one will be those resistance supersize b-wings, the £55 one will be an ahch-to scene, the £30 one will probably be a resistance skimmer, not sure about the rest. Also, everyone seems to think that these will all be overpriced, obviously forgetting about the rogue one hovertank. 385 pieces for £30 is seriously impressive post-brexit.
F***! these are going to be expensive in Norway :'(
Like with Ep 7 and RO, playsets probably are not in the first wave, as they give away too much of the plot. An Ahch-To set will be a fine January or Summer 30€ set (after putting Old Luke in the first wave 150€ set).
Looking forward personally for the Heavy Resistance Fighter! That was fresh, unseen. And I love bigger ships, that can hold some minifigs, droids etc.
My guesses for the buildable figures:
LEGO Star Wars 75526 - €19.99 - (£14.99, $19.99) - Rey
LEGO Star Wars 75528 - €24.99 - (£19.99, $24.99) - Luke
LEGO Star Wars 75529 - €24.99 - (£19.99, $24.99) - Kylo Ren
LEGO Star Wars 75530 - €34.99 - (£29.99, $34.99) - Unsure, tbh.
I hope they make two more X-Wings.
Re Ahch-To playset in September set
I think will be a training and not a battle playset
As a training playset it will not give away anymore plot than what we have seen in the trailers and will available in other toys at the time.
So something like;
Jedi Training on Ahch-To
Train to be a Jedi with Jedi Master Luke Skywalker !
Includes 4 minifigures: Rey, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca and R2-D2
Discover the secrets of the Force in the Journey of the Whills hidden in the Force tree
Push down the lever and watch as Rey leaps in the air practicing her force jump
Weapons include Luke Skywalker's lightsaber, Rey's lightsaber and Chewbacca's bowcaster
Recreate unforgettable scenes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Seems like an expensive batch of sets. They better be good.
I think it's disappointing there's not a set at a low price point like Rey's Speeder from TFA. I think it's good when there's a way to buy into the line in a simple set like that without forking out mega bucks.
So about $650.00 US to collect the first wave... my wallet isn't looking forward to it, although I can't wait to see them. I still haven't finished getting all of the TFA sets (I'm looking at you Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle), still want the Rebel Combat Frigate from last year, haven't gotten any (except one BP) of the first wave of SW sets this year, and the summer SW sets are about to be released. There's no way to keep up, well, no way to keep up and collect the modular buildings, creator and city sets that I want, oh and I want to start getting some train sets... darn, I need a high paying second job that occupies very little of my time. Any suggestions?
@Speed champions fan: I think it's less about the sets possibly being overpriced, and more the fact that there isn't a single 'cheap' set in the lineup. No matter how good the price per part ratio is, they're still expensive.
Where are all the smaller sets? I predicted at least 2 smaller sets.
^ for years now Lego have populated the January wave with tonnes of small sets whilst leaving the huge ones to fill the shelves from Summer til Christmas. I doubt anything is going to change there so we may get some more small sets early next year, likely a good handful based on the Last Jedi, as we've had the battle packs, Y-Wing and Battle on Scarif this year in January for Rogue One.
I wonder if we'll see at least one more Rebels set for the final series (I don't call them seasons)? In that set designer chat during the Star Wars MOC competition it was said that Rebels sets were very hard to get out there and push commercially, but then I would've thought the same about the Freemaker subtheme until this Summer's sets came along.
WOW! To get all of these sets it would cost $755, thats ridiculous! Hopefully there are some i am not intrested in!
JESUS!!!
I knew it! It confirms the biggest as the AT-4X the walker.
Another will be the First-Order version of the AT-ST in Lego-form.
It also means the smallest could be the A-WING the Resistance fighter.
One could be the TIE-BOMBER.
Another could be the Resistance or First-Order skimmer.
The meaning to talk about this means a bit of evidence, one the SPEEDERS could be Resistance judging by approaching the walkers on the Desert, the evidence is if they belong to the FIRST-ORDER they could be approaching or searching for the RESISTANCE and could the PICTURES look clearly in my eyes obviously different, due to the 1st that looks less RESISTANCE and doesn't have the colors and has FIRST-ORDER colors, so the other is really the RESISTANCE meaning the speeder docks on the walker, there will be TIE-BOMBERS though as something very unique in style hopefully. I do hope I am correct because I'd be shocked!
