The LEGO Inside Tour set for 2014 is...
Posted by Huw,
We've held off revealing the 2014 LEGO Inside Tour exclusive set until today, the last day of the last of this year's tours, as a courtesy to those going on the later ones.
It's an excellent rendition of the LEGOLAND Billund train designed by none other than Steen Sig Andersen, I believe.
Here's a flickr gallery of photos of the event by first tour attendee Mauricio.

Well there's another train set that I'll never own :(
I think that just shows up how good LEGO trains could be!
I would love just to get the instructions for this!
Crazy! It uses the classic tracks.
Surprised LEGO still has the molds for the classic tracks!
Nice. I still like Moulding Macines the best of all these tour exclusives. Not that I'll ever be able to own any of 'em.
@whaleyland and legomaniac: These are normal tracks (without slots), still in production for a lot of sets in the last years. The tracks for the trains in the 80ies were different.
I've done a review of the set if anyone is interested. Up now at www.newelementary.com
^ Great review, be sure to link to it on the 'external reviews' page for the set here.
Yes, Steen is the designer. Here is the proud "father." =)

OMG!! This is a very nice set.
Would have appeared on the series of Creator, just us the 10233 Horizon Express.
The classic tracks have been in production recently, featured in 4204 The Mine and 79110 Silver Mine Shootout.
When a project is approved by LEGO Ideas, the creator receives 1% of the profits - I wonder how many AFOLs would rather have a trip for two (or four?) to attend the inside tour instead?
I would absolutely love to do this tour someday. :-)
I don't really like the idea from lego to make such a set exclusive.
I hope someone can help me find the instructions and stickers ?,
so I can replicate the set myself to add to my collection of all trains.
Just got back from the Inside Tour that ended yesterday. Great tour and great set, with a neat story behind it (on the back of the set box). Also, in case you haven't heard elsewhere, the back of the box printing includes a picture of all the tour participants.
Apparently LEGO had a production problem with the stickers, as they were removed from the sets distributed and will be sent separately later.
I'm starting to roundup parts but where can I find instructions or expect to look for them?
I hope we could get instructions for this. It seems fairly doable to get the parts for it (minus the stickers, or course).
The set is a throw-away to me, but if you get it for free for a tour, I'd be more than happy to oblige. Plus that's cool the tour group is on the box. Definitely a keepsake.
How expensive is this again??? Better start playing the lottery.
Why can't they release sets like this to the public? This and those SDCC comic book character exclusives.
They're sitting on a gold mine here (particularly that train). If they released that to the public, how much money would they make from that? I too hope instructions for this pop up online, because the parts look pretty general.
Thank you Mauricio for all the great pictures!
The tour is definitely on my to do list!
