By in United States,

It was a pretty clever design decision to include the 'trap door' in the bottom of the ship.

By in United States,

Still waiting for my Cloud City/Carbon Freeze Chamber playset. Come on Lego, don't let me down.

By in United States,

Can't wait to see it in person tomorrow!

By in Canada,

Holy Scalpers, Batman Tumbler! Just charge 400$ or limit a household to one like the Simpson house.

By in United States,

Definitely getting this set, but disappointed that it's not releasing until 2015. Was hoping to use some of my VIP points that expire at the end of the year on the thing... Maybe it'll be released half a month early for VIPs? Hope so

By in United States,

The underside of the ship is the most interesting view, IMO! I think I'll be able to restrain myself from actually buying it, but watching the designer's video was certainly eye-opening. I hadn't been tempted in the least until I saw how many moving parts and details were included.

By in Spain,

199 usd conversion is just 160 eur, no 199 eur....there is a big difference

By in United Kingdom,

Really nice kit - fun video too:)

By in Germany,

Wow, that is really nice, somehow i did not expect it to be that big.
I'm really impressed by the design, it really seems quite robust and looks good from all directions.
I'm gonna need one of those...

By in United Kingdom,

I think I would have preferred it to be the same scale as my UCS X-Wing and B-Wings but Slave 1 will look schweeeeet next to my UCS Imperial Shuttle!

By in United States,

I saw it this evening and I can confirm that it's a nice looking model with some fun features (especially for a UCS model - they are sometimes display-only models.) It isn't my preferred theme, but it is a good looking set.

P.S. the large clear plastic window part is huge. We confirmed 8 wide by 16 long. I expect 3 bricks tall but didn't check.

By in United Kingdom,

January is an odd release date. Didn't think it would be this year as we've already had one SW UCS in May, the pattern of late is two big SW sets per year with only one being UCS... So, is there something else for this Autumn in system scale like the Ewok Village last year and what will be revealed for May 4th next year?!

By in United Kingdom,

This is absolutely brilliant, and right in the spirit of my Lego building. I really do prefer to buy, build and design MoC's that can actually play with rather then just being models. Have not bought any of the UCS Starwars before, but this one I will definitely get.

By in Finland,

It looks great. Star wars fans must-have

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I love it as much as anticipated, it looks like a definitive model of the ship which is what I want from any UCS set, so I am happy with it!

It is just a shame about the January 1st release date as it would have made a good Christmas present.

By in United Kingdom,

The design is amazing, I'm especially impressed by the detail on the wings. However, I might have purchased it should it have been out this year, but I see it as unlikely when all the other sets are there in December/January. I might make do with the 2010 version.

By in United States,

Im really hoping that it will be released a month earlier for VIPs like the mini cooper and the tumbler. I'll definetley be saving my money to get this.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very impressed. Can't wait till December. I'm glad you can actually fit the carbonite Han through the doors and still have the minifigures walk in. If only it was released now

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really like the model, but I just wish that the Star Wars theme would use mini-dolls instead of those clunky minifigures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ugh, another one? It looks sooo similar to the last one... How about a new ship, LEGO?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@ericjohn, I assume you're joking, if not perhaps you might want to find another hobby!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

@ericjohn I agree with Tresillian. I think I'd be sick if Star Wars was with mini-dolls instead of minifigs!

Anyway on topic, I love this set, even though, now don't kill me, Slave 1 isn't my favorite ship and ESB isn't my favorite Star Was movie.

Just wish I had the money...

By in Canada,

Looks accurate to me. Except for the blue engine emissions, which were obviously orange in the film.

Cant wait to get it!

By in France,

I like this set a lot, and I am very tempted to get it once it is out, if and when I can get it somewhere for a good price. However why are there so few minifigs included in this set? In the Tower of Orthanc there are five minifigs included, which isn't a lot for a €230 set in The Netherlands (which I managed to buy for €199,99 which I still think is very expensive), and in this UCS Star Wars set there are only four minifigs! I expect this set to get a price tag in the Netherlands of about the same figure (€230 at Legoshop @home just like The Tower of Orthanc). I love all the details of the model, and when I buy this set it won't be primarily for the minifigs (as sometimes has been the case with some sets) but in all fairness they should have included two, three or maybe even four extra minifigs with this set. Two storm-troopers, as well as two Bespin guards, instead of just one of each, and the character Lobot (the bold cyborg guy with the headset central-computer interface) would have been a nice addition too IMO.

By in France,

I would have appreciated to have a glance into the ship.
I wonder how it is organized in its belly.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

I am pleased to have have got the standard version in set 8097, I will give this one a miss.

I have the choice of getting the new modular or this set, and the new modular will win. I am very pleased with 8097, and whilst I can see some added features and elements used in this model, I cannot justify the spend.

I am sure that if I did not buy 8097, then this would have been a definitive buy, but I am happy with what I have got, and this will not be making the collection.

Just for the record, Boba Fett is still the hardest bounty hunter - end of discussion.

By in United Kingdom,

Wow, that looks amazing. This might be the first UCS set I buy since the original X-Wing and TIE Interceptor.
I like the designer video too. "I would definitely buy this" :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

This one definitely looks good. I do have the most recent version, that I found at a steep discount on craigslist. I don't know if I really "need" this set. It will go on the list, but low priority. How many versions of one ship does one need???

On that note, is that sand green or olive green? The lighting or my eyes keeps switching between them. I think either/both could work well for the build. I know sand green was used on the previous version too.

By in United States,

Wow, it's even more fantastic than I thought!
I have a friend who loves anything Boba Fett and I know he's gonna get one of these!
Now that I have a real job again, I will probably snag one as well. :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to get this!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This is pretty cool. I love it!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

OMG it's beautiful…. love the colours, the detail and the clear cockpit. I'm not a star wars collector but this will probably change that! :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This is a must get set. The only version I have of Boba's Slave I is the first one they ever did, and that is absolute rubbish next to this beauty.
