Huw - it's Patty, not Paddy.
I'll blame LEGO for that, that's what the image was named :-)
Nice.. Hibbert comes with an x-ray of Homer's head with the crayon lodged in his brain...
I love the SQUISHEE
Smithers is my favourite, perfect and required figure for Mr Burns. And he comes with Malibu Stacy, with a New Hat! :D
Is Maggie exactly the same as what was already released (except that she comes with Santa's Little Helper)? Seems they could have done something else with her...oh well.
Maggie looks exactly the same as in S1 - the only plus is Santa's Little Helper. Milhouse comes with a Buzz Cola can - cool!
@darthdc - she's possibly the same as the one that came with the house but different eyes/face print to the Series one version.
An incredible number of printed tiles in this series and the Kwik-E-Mart.
I love the pieces, some great drinks and printed tiles.
I still hate the mini figures and the price.
So, we've had squishees, buzz cola cans. Now we need a bottle or can of duff beer, and pork rinds - light.
Further figures: Principal Skinner, Dr Nick, Sideshow Mel, Sideshow Bob, Otto Mann, Sea Captain, Mayor Quimby, Fat Tony, Duffman, Carl, Lenny, Barney, Kearney, Rod and Todd Flanders, Maude Flanders (if they can do Mrs K, then why not?), Jimbo, Cletus, and Moe.
I would like to see Principal Skinner, Sideshow Bob, Moe and Carl, Lenny, Barney.
Any idea on the color of the bags?
It would be nice, if there is a series 3, if it would be based on Treehouse of Horrors episodes.
Nicely done. I think this will be another must have series. I like the variants. I originally wasn't happy with it, but these seem all right. And I'll need Selma for the eye chart (even though it isn't very accurate) since I'm an optometrist.
This is a great new series. I wasn't going to get them all, but now I am certainly considering getting at least 3/4 of the series.
I would say that Santos L. Halper is the reason to buy and Maggie is just an accessory.
Nice lot of cloth accessories this time - five skirts and two short capes - and am I right in thinking CBG has moulded boots on?
But she's got a NEW HAT!
I'm really surprised that Lego is doubling down on this theme. Our local Target was still stuck with sets from the original release the last time I checked. Hooray for Simpson fans, but honestly the theme is just too targeted (no pun intended).
By god....Hans Moleman in minifigure form. This guy is a legend! This is by far my fave. Sideshow Bob is next one I really want to see, that hair piece and accessory would be awesome.
I'm more disappointed that Comic Book Guy does not do that character justice, the head just looks too awkward on an ordinary torso, a new rounded/fat guy torso should have been made for this series, either that or find some way to re-use Bombur's piece from the Hobbit to give the impression of a larger stomach.
I'm looking forward to this Series, but will have to be very careful so as not to get duplicates, really these Simpsons CMFs do not lend themselves well to nabbing doubles, unless you're looking for unique prints and can find some way to dispose of the heads.
Not a fan of the Simpsons, but looking at this from the point of view of making minifigs, there are some nice parts in there. Smithers' body and the printed doll tile, and the professor would all make for good ordinary minifigures. Maybe even use Moleman's head in amogst other ordinary minifigures. Millhouse's arms, cape, legs and cola-can are all useful. As is most of Comic-Book-Guy. And Bart is a new colour of shirt-sleeved torso, cape and catapult, though seemingly the same legs as Millhouse. Might have to get a Marge for those long white gloves, for some sort of spacesuit arrangement. I'm really not going to speculate on what printing might be under all those paper skirts though...
These look awesome! I am especially looking forward to getting Selma and Patty. I missed out on getting Maggie and Lisa the first time around but loving Maggie's eyes on this one. I think I will wait and not buy the first series one from Ebay now. Also, if anyone knows how I can get rid of an extra Flanders, let me know. Although I'm guessing everyone probably has one or two already. :)
Haven't been into any of the Simpsons sets (there is just too many other cool sets), but the parts look great like the slingshot and short pants!
Is Marge barefoot? I said in the other post, the Gordie Howe tile is the best accessory the Simpsons CMFs have had so far!
@Joefish, I agree.
Comic Book Guy needs a "fat suit".
Why do we want Simpsons LEGOs again...?
Are we sure these aren't the Halloween series? They look pretty terrifying to me... :P
Like the slingshot though.
Series 12 and 13.. No! Simpsons series 2.. Gotta have em! Back to the search and hopefully it doesn't get me hooked on the regular CMF again.
What the hell, no Moe or Principal Skinner? I hope they are saving them for Moe's Tavern and Springfield Elementary otherwise I can't understand passing on them for series 2.
Bartman is the only one I'll get. Im not a Simpsons fan but I dropped $60 on the first minifig series and I regret it completely.
I like the Simpsons but the figs don't do anything for me. I'll end up chasing a few for the accessories and one or two torsos - Bart's slingshot is a must - but I didn't bother finishing the first set and I won't be going after all of these.
Love the Simpsons minifigs, but did we really need the Simpsons family again? In place of the Simpsons we could have had the remainder of the Flanders family and Sideshow bob, or Otto... there are so many characters they could have given us. I just feel its a waste of potential.
YES
Whoooo HOOOOO!!
We are so picky as people. Man, I'm glad I am not responsible for trying to please everyone. Love them. Thanks Lego, for hooking us up.
Do these still come in anonymous packaging? (I hate that, btw). Cheers.
@ Faster-345: Yes, these will still come in blind packages. Have a look at the EuroBricks user WhiteFang's review on EuroBricks in it's Licensed Forums.
I sure hope that LEGO will go a bit faster than one set and one minifigure series per year. I'm glad that we are getting Smithers and Willie, but where are Carl, Lenny, Barney, Moe, and Skinner? I've also seen on other sites that the next set will be the comic book store but I'd rather have the school or Moe's which is obviously not kid appropriate). :-(
