Most of the summer sets from across all themes will be released in the next couple of weeks but we are still expecting a few images of store exclusive sets. 70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos and 76056 Batman: Rescue from Ra's al Ghul are two such sets and they have both been revealed on Amazon Japan.

You will find larger images and prices after the break...

70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos:

  • Minifigures: Sensei Wu, Nya, Lloyd, Jay, Stone Warrior, General Cryptor, Pythor, General Kozu.
  • Price: $119.99, probably around £99.99 or €119.99.

76056 Batman: Rescue from Ra's al Ghul:

  • Minifigures: Batman (Desert Suit), Robin, Ra's al Ghul, Talia al Ghul.
  • Price: $39.99, probably around £39.99 or €44.99.

We still don't have an image for 70326 The Black Knight Mech or the mysterious 75143, but they should be coming soon.

These sets might be released on the 1st of June or perhaps later in the summer. Will you aim to purchase them when they become available?

Those DC figures would all be awesome, but that build looks so uninspired. (The lazarus pit is a nice touch, though.)

Gravatar
By in Finland,

Ra's Al Ghul set is released only to justify the existence of the minifig... The section with the staircase and the gate is lackluster and that Batman buggy is very bad overall.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Does it mean that new Spider-Man sets may be available in June as well?

Gravatar
By in Finland,

i'm probably going to buy the ra's al ghul set. i hope it was 30 insted of 40. i really like the samurai x cave but not sure if i'm going to buy it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Batman set is a little lacking build-wise, but I'm a sucker for Batman's vehicles, so it's a lock for me even without considering the figures.
Seems batman has a desert Batsuit on , which is a nice touch. And the additions of Talia and Ra's al Ghul as Minifigs is just outstanding. I'm assuming that the Robin is Damien...which would make this a nice family reunion :D

By in Australia,

Ra's and Talia as minifigs? Oh, I'm so there.

Lame set otherwise, though.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

@Alonzo Brickovsky spider-man sets will be available june 1st atleast in europe. also the 2 batman sets

Gravatar
By in Poland,

^ That's really great news for me. Thanks.

@ROTJ @Alonzo Brickovsky The May-June 2016 LEGO Club Magazine advertises 76057 Ultimate Bridge Battle on the very first page, so I'd assume it and the rest of the wave are coming June 1st in North America... which pretty much means worldwide.

The sets look pretty nice! I'm not into DC so 76056 doesn't do much for me, but 70596 is SWEET.

By in United States,

Are all those platforms in the Samurai X Cave sand blue?! Awesome! Please don't tell me it's gray...

Gravatar
By in Bulgaria,

It is a shame the Volcano City trucks look a lot tougher and better designed than this Bat Buggy. Will still get for the figures though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So LEGO designers do know how to make a cave. I wasn't sure after that horrible 'Batcave' mess.

According to BZPower.com's New York Toy Fair reports, Samurai X Cave Chaos will be an August release in North America. Don't know for sure about the Batman set, though, since it wasn't mentioned in BZPower's Toy Fair coverage. But the other summer Batman sets are August releases in North America.

Samurai X Cave Chaos looks amazing and I can tell it's got some functions that I can't entirely wrap my brain around... maybe a launching function for the jet? And possibly a service elevator for the mech? Three years ago when the Samurai X Cave first appeared in the TV show I'd have never imagined it being able to exist as a set that felt this complete. Obviously it doesn't come cheap, but it still seems to offer a great parts value, great minifigures, and a great design.

The Ras Al Ghul set is unique, but I'm not really a Super Heroes collector. The most interesting thing about it for me is Ras Al Ghul's two-tone painted hair. I have little doubt the same technique — possibly even the same exact piece — will be used for Doctor Strange.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow! The Samurai X Cave makes a great generic Batcave, and at half the price of the official set. Or I could even see combining it with the Ra's al Ghul set to make a League of Shadows base.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Kinda feels like that Batman set should have a few "Barrels" and some kind of "Escape" play feature...

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Stairs to nowhere - check. Doors to nowhere - check. Let's just throw in a bunch of minifigures and a vehicle and no-one will notice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

C'mon LEGO, still waiting on my Ares minifig......

Gravatar
By in South Korea,

That Lazarus Pit is pitiful.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

The Ninjago set is great but expensive while the Batman one is cheap and lame (minifigures are great). With a bigger price tag they could have incorporated the stairs and door into a neat fortress and a better Bat-Buggy.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm pretty sure the Lego Designers thought that by halving the height of the 1960's Batcave people could be duped into buying a Ninjago set. Glad I'm keeping my money firmly in my pocket...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was hoping that the other Civil War set 76067 was going to be revealed too. Argh, I'm like a kid at Christmas getting too stressed out from the anticipation of what it could be! I hope I'm not disappointed.

While I'll be getting the Ra's al Ghul set simply to possess the minifigures of him & Talia, I'm very much looking forward to that Samurai X Cave! With some modification, it's like the Batcave I've dreamed about. Plus, I'm a fan of the Ninjago line and it's a must-have for me, so 2-for-1!

By in United States,

@OuterRimTradingCo. "Stairs to nowhere - check. Doors to nowhere - check. Let's just throw in a bunch of minifigures and a vehicle and no-one will notice."

^ Truth

Gravatar
By in United States,

That Ninjago set would make an excellent re-appropriated Batcave.

Gravatar
By in United States,

People actually thought a Super Heroes set would have a worthy build and not just desirable figures? Hmm,...

Although, I think if the DC set was fleshed out a bit it would look like a really good MOC, but as a set, it is really lackluster.

I was hoping for something different when they said desert Batman, but I guess I'll add this one to my collection of variants. Is this the same Damien as the horrible Batplane set?

And the Ninjago set does look decent, but I'm not a big enough fan to purchase it. Although I do agree that it could be used as a good starting point for a Batcave MOC.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ugh. The one Ninjago set I'm most interested in, is the last one to be revealed. Hoping it complements the temple.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm very excited for Talia and Ra's. I "like" the build because the piece count is low and that means I can get the minifigs for "cheap". The buggy isn't bad though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

76056 Batman Escape from Ra's al Ghul reminds me of 79004 Barrel Escape.
The minifigures are excellent in this set.

70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos look even better than I thought it would be.
I like the usage of the classic torsos on Lloyd and Jay. Can't wait to pick up this baby.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Ra's al Ghul minifig looks really plain. I have seen 2 customs that are better. As a collector of Castle and Star Wars, I can say that the Ninjago cave set is yet another spectacular set. Without ever meaning to, I now own more than a dozen Ninjago sets.
@goldenguy880 The parts supporting the possible sand blue platform look light bluish gray, so there is hope. I feel that Lego is making more previously rare colors.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Come on, still no 70326 The Black Knight Mech :-( I can't wait!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@CapnRex101 any news on the last Captain America: Civil War set? 76067 I think?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@chrisbstm - Nothing yet, although it is almost certain to include Spider-Man.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Batman set looks useful to get stairs for cave/desert MOCs, as I think this is the most we will have seen of those stairs, in that colour, in one set (correct me if I'm wrong). Other than that, though, the minifigures will sell that set. I mean, there's a neat gate, and the buggy isn't too shabby I suppose? On the other hand that Ninjago set looks spectacular. It's cohesive, it has underground and a bit of overground, and I personally love that skull at the entrance. Definite buy if I had the money.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

@CapnRex101 i hope that it also includes a new verison of hawkeye, and maybe vision. although it is probably based on the airport scene, it could also include zemo as a extra, or better black widow. but if it has spider-man then it probably has the spider-man v captain america fight. it could include hawkeye, capt. america and spider-man

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I don't get why everyone think this cave looks better than the batcave? It's ninjago, so it looks as messy as most of the sets in the range (MOST of them), this cave is just walls too, right?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

On first glance I thought oh its the batcave from the Batman Lego game and its a scene from the Hobbit and the barrel escape.

Could these be older repurposed set or designs that never saw a release?
:o)

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Ninjago is no more "messy" than any other theme. I have no clue why you'd think of the sets that way.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Maybe 'messy' isn't the right word.. I didn't mean to insult the theme as it is or something, but I just wanted to state that the batcave actually does look really good once you see it built and I think this set would've been a far worse batcave...

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Can we at least agree that this set is a lot more cohesively connected to be one whole big cave?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Samurai Batcave looks awesome. Less so the Batman set, but it will sell like hotcakes because of Ra's al Ghul.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@OuterRimTradingCo. Well that's not really fair is it? That staircase leads to the ledge above it, not much, but it's something. Plus the door leads to the, y'know, outside. You don't say that your front door leads to no-where right? I mean, say all you want about the set, but what you said isn't technically true..funny though...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Have to go withOuterRimTradingCo. Lego Is focusing too much on minifigs and not the builds. Rescue from Ra's al Ghul should be called re-using Ra's al Ghul Updated Barrel Escape. Did Lego just take 79004 and repackage it with the Super Heroes Brand; even the two minifigurs look like Elevs...just swap out the Dwarves for Batman and Robin

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm not sure if inflation is messing with me, but 40$ for the batman set... I'll pass and try to get talia and ra's from bricklink or something.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The doors are taller than the walls.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So much salt over the Batcave and DC sets. Haha.

Anyway, was not expecting THAT when 70596 was announced. Dang it looks good.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice touch utilizing the dual sided head for Ra's—one face old, the other younger to represent the effects of the Lazarus Pit. Good idea! As for the rest of the set other than the minifigures... Not sold for me! Almost reminds me of a larger "Juniors" set.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

@shaase, that's what I thought as soon as I saw it last night, batman's barrel escape. I thought I'd get the Ra's set, but after looking at the pictures it feels very incomplete and lazy, so I'll just have to buy Ra's separately. The Ninjago set on the other hand looks great, but I'll have to resist for the sake of the Death Star.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Personally I find the Batcave 66 to be a very faithful rendition in its build to the batman 66 movie (as well as all the villains and vehicles in the movie minus the batboat are in the set) and enjoy it quite a lot. Of course its overpriced but that seems to be the case with many UCS sets lately.

I was really hoping for a better build for the Ra's al Ghul set, then I realized it was a superhero set which usually lack in their builds. I will still get it, but like many other commenters my first impression was that it looked like the Hobbit barrel escape. Maybe the same designer built them?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Combining these sets into a decent batcave seems like it would work well.

I might have to get a few of these sets.... :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I see I'm not the only one who instantly thought, 'Hmm, "Batman's Barrel Escape"'... :-)

And have they really given Robin hobbit-legs as well? Or has he changed his name to 'Bobbin' and joined the dwarves?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Batman's got a new cowl, I think. No chin, but longer ears.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's Damian Wayne !!!! It's like a horrible family reunion set!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

im so hyped for the samurai X cave cant wait for it to come to denmark together with airjitzu battle ground's D even salvage M.E.C and ultra sonic raider 2,0 and even the titanium tumbler and cole's Rock Roader Ninja GO denmark D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oh my gosh new hobbit sets...
Oh wait it's a DC set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I kinda like the dc set

Gravatar
By in United States,

The DC set looks really thrown together and sad. I'm such a Batman nut though that I probably end up buying it anyway. \(._.)/
