Affiliate marketing disclosure

Brickset.com started out as a ‘hobby site’ but is now operated as a business, funded by affiliate marketing and by advertising.

Who runs the site

Brickset is owned and operated by Brickset ltd., company registration number 07754012.

How affiliate marketing works

When you make a purchase or, sometimes, carry out some other action as direct result of clicking on a link at Brickset, we will receive a small commission.

For example, when you click on a link in our Amazon alerts to visit Amazon.com then purchase the LEGO set in question, we will receive a commission. In fact, we will receive one whether you buy the LEGO set or something else entirely.

The level of commission varies depending on the merchant but generally it's a few percent of the price of the item you purchase.

The vast majority of the links on the site which lead to merchants that sell LEGO are affiliate links and work in this way.

Advertising

Adverts are displayed to users who are not logged in. Please contact PlayWire Media if you have any queries about the adverts that we show.

Our ethics

From time to time we may publish news articles about our affiliate partners concerning promotions, offers, new products and so on. The links in these articles are also affiliate links.

Occasionally manufacturers and publishers send us items to review. In such instances it will be clearly stated in the review that this is the case. We never accept payment or products in return for a positive review and we never post sponsored advertorials.

As of October 2018 we have relationships with the following merchants:

  • LEGO
  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Argos
